State of the game - Update
Greetings all who care. This is a quick rundown on the state of the game. I am entering a final stage of development and even if quite a few new features are implemented there are still some that need to be added. Let's start with the good news: 1. Game has 3 new enemy units: - Enemy Captain (as a counter to your own and a objective to kill) - Enemy Medic (as a counter to your own) - Enemy Mortar (as a counter to your own) - Landmine (makes your units so happy they want to jump) - Spawner Tent Medic (spawns periodically a medic - duh!) 2. I have added 2 new abilities: - Aristrike (A large bombard area that call your planes to drop random bombs within set area) - Interact (a general action used to interact with some other world items such as "Radio" and "Ammo Box" - All units have reduced grenade ammo (From 2 to 1), but can stock up on grenades using Interact action on ammo boxes on map {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45107820/c4dd36e15ad0be5a15aaafc76fdcca49797bd6a5.png - Captains can now call "Airstrike" once per level but can also stock up on that ability by using Interact action on Radio. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45107820/ec28764981aed0b21aaf43954c323a86beada180.png 3. New UI with more polished buttons and indicators - new "Dice" indicator above units heads is displayed with correct and corresponding number in upper left corner better indicating the rolls made by the attacking unit. - new icons added to better represent when the ability is not available for use. - new indicator on UnitButtons displaying the selected unit. - new indicators for Mortars displaying the "Shell" ability's cooldown. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45107820/21fb6564e066c3e24b959c7637ec54136fd75583.png{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45107820/6f8ba0b2833ed861b67f0de7ae8d64f55c76d08a.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45107820/db3ab7db9bfc504a3c41d1f67058aea358306790.png 4. New maps: - there are currently 12 functioning levels to play - the scope had shifted from 40 to 30 (15 causal mode and 15 hardcore mode) due to personal issues and lack of ti...Read full article on Community Announcements (Immitated_One)Patch NotesOfficial
State of the game
Dear players, firstly I would like to thank everyone who played or tried to play the game before and during the SNF. Current Demo version had been put together hastily and it is not overall in a good shape. To be perfectly honest neither is the full version. The reason for that is that I am a solo indie developer working small hours on the game due to my family obligations and 2 jobs. On top of that this is my first game and I have a mountain to learn with little to no time for learning it. As a passion project I did not expect almost anyone to play it and it took me for a surprise. The scope of the game was always supposed to be small so that is what you can expect from this game - a few hours to kill. That plan will only change in an unlikely event of a community push and maybe I do expand the project in that case. STATE OF THE GAME Surprisingly I did get some inputs and questions from some of you that I will try to answer here: 1. I am aware of the buggy state some of you experienced during this tryout - It is due to poor optimization and it is being worked on. The game puts some load on GPU and those that play with lower end graphics cards might experience this bug. Hopefully I will be able to fix it in the future. 2. There is no health bar - This game tries to avoid classical game of attrition where you hit and make damage until a unit dies. There is a dice representation at the top left corner indicating the number rolled by a unit when attacking and when you hover over a unit you can see the "roll table" representing what roll will have what effect. 3. There is a tutorial - not very clearly done by my part, but if you press "esc" you can see the menu and choose to look at tutorial for instructions. 4. Rally - for the lack of a better word to explain it is a heal. You can use it to remove the status effects on your units. 5. Mortar shell - can be used every 2 rounds due to a cooldown. PRICING This game will be free to play with no in-game store. If you want to...Read full article on Community Announcements (Immitated_One)
