About this game
Hoptale is a Roguelite adventure that blends hopscotch with slot machines. Play as Tuby the rabbit and stand against the awakened god of chaos.
Hop to Save the World
Hopping is Tuby's only weapon. Fight, explore, gather, fish, and solve puzzles — all by hopping from tile to tile.
Combat, Slot Machine Style
In battle, the tiles beneath your feet become a slot machine. Watch the spinning symbols, call your stop at the right moment, and line up the attack tiles to land a lethal blow.
Stack Tiles, Build Your Style
Collect tiles with wildly different effects and combine them into builds that feed off one another — then beat the chaos of the reels at its own game.
Adorable Animals vs. Grotesque Horrors
Our heroes are a troupe of cute little animals — both Tuby and Meowchi are playable. On your journey you'll meet a bird butler whose speeches keep getting longer, and a fox merchant who coughs up gold coins when you rub his belly. You'll also run into a cultist cat that swallows small animals in its embrace, a Lady of Blood who lifts her skirt to lure you closer, a music angel performing a funeral march, and a tall, thin silhouette hiding deep in the forest.

Hoptale Demo 2.0 is live — a fully expanded Roguelite experience
The Hoptale demo updates to Demo 2.0 today. This version strengthens the whole Roguelite experience: over 70 treasures, twice as many tile types, new meta-progression, and more stages and enemies — the biggest update since the demo first went public in November 2025. What kind of game is thisHoptale is a Roguelite adventure that combines hopscotch with spinning reels. You play Tuby, a small rabbit who takes on the awakened god of chaos with his one and only weapon: a jump. In battle, the tiles under your feet turn into a set of reels. Call the stop at the right moment, line the attack tiles up in a row, and land the killing blow. Collect tiles with all sorts of effects, build a set where every piece feeds the next, and outsmart the chaos. What got the big update? A complete Roguelite run New meta-progression New treasure system, with over 70 treasures so far New active skill system! New Blacksmith — a tile-upgrading forge minigame! Twice as many tile types! A big UI glow-up! You can finally interact with Forky the merchant OuO A few other updates 2 new monsters: the Exploding Bomblet and the Mimic Bunny Overkill damage now converts to Gold 1:1 Tuby's diary New option: battle animations at 1.5x or 2x speed Autosave and save backups More events on Mystery Tiles Hover over a tile to see its name and effect right away Every monster has beefed-up versions and its own difficulty rhythm across the three areas Overhauled settings screen Options for tutorial text size, screen shake and more UI and text in 11 languages Play it free right nowA run takes about 30 minutes to an hour, and we'd suggest at least two — the difference between builds is what this update is really about. If you enjoy it, add Hoptale to your wishlist and we'll let you know the moment there's news about the full game.
