About this game
Voodoo Fishin’ is a 1–6 player online co-op creepy-cozy fishing game featuring proximity voice chat and swamp-dwelling surprises.
Venture into the bayou with friends in search of rare and legendary fish. The deeper you go, the stranger things get.
Fish together. Laugh together. Try not to lose your haul. If you die, the swamp keeps your catch. (And any Tackle you have equipped)

Craft your puppet angler and hit the dock!

It’s chill… until it isn’t. This swamp hunts back.
If you make it back alive, the Fish Monger pays by the pound.

Upgrade your Bait, Reels, and Rods to chase bigger and rarer fish
Play Forever
The swamp doesn’t run on corporate servers. Voodoo Fishin’ is self-hosted, so once you’re in, you can always jump back in with friends. No server shutdowns. No “service discontinued.”
The swamp stays open as long as you can stay alive.
The demo provides access to the full core gameplay systems, but limits world exploration and higher-tier Tackle.

Connection Health Checks 🌐We’ve received reports from some players whose progress failed to save after their connection to our online services was interrupted. This update introduces a new connection health-check system designed to identify those interruptions more reliably and reduce the chance of progress being lost. We’ll continue monitoring reports and improving the system as we approach 1.0.Free Rerolls 🔄We fixed an issue that could cause the lobby to hitch when players clicked Reroll. We’ve also added a free Reroll with a timed cooldown, giving you another chance to find the Tackle you're looking without spending a dime!High-DPI Mouse Fix 🖱️We’ve included a potential fix for an issue where very high mouse DPI settings could cause smaller mouse movements to be ignored. If you’ve experienced this problem, please let us know whether the new update resolves it for you!As always, thank y’all for your continued support and feedback! Meet Dealin' Delores!
Ahoy, Anglers! 🎣This week’s update introduces the Pawn Shop and its sweet, stuffy proprietor, Dealin’ Delores!Got a tackle box full of gear you don’t need? Delores is ready to take it off your hands... for the right price, of course.Sell Unwanted Tackle 💰Bring your extra rods, reels, and bait to the Pawn Shop and sell them for cash. It’s a great way to clear out unwanted gear and put a little money back in your puppet’s pocket.Buy Used Tackle 🎣Delores doesn’t just buy. She sells, too!Her inventory is created entirely from what happens during your current session:Tackle sold to Delores will appear in her shop.Tackle permanently lost when a player dies goes into her trays. That means Delores’s inventory will change from session to session, and your lost gear might not be gone for good. She’ll be happy to sell it right back to you! Up Next! 🗺️Missions and New FacesWe’re hard at work on a new Mission System that will bring a whole cast of strange new characters into the swamp! It will begin as an extension of the game’s tutorial, helping new anglers learn the ropes through characters and objectives. Let Those Baits Dangle! 🎣
Ahoy, Anglers! 🐟This week’s update gives your fishing rigs a visual and physics-based overhaul!Danglin' BaitsBaits now dangle from your rig on a physics-based line while held in your puppet’s hand. This makes it much easier (and better looking) to see exactly which bait you have equipped before casting.🔥 Enchanted Sparky also has new visual effects while equipped, making it clear when its monster-repelling protection is active.Fishing Rig ImprovementsWe’ve also cleaned up several Rod, Reel, and Bait behaviors:Bait is no longer visible on fish after they’ve been hooked in the water.Holding a fish now automatically unequips your fishing rod.Equipped tackle behaves more consistently when your puppet dies.If your Rod, reel, and bait are visible in your hands when you die, they will now be dropped into the world. These changes are intended to make the Tackle Loss mechanic much more obvious: if you can see your fishing pole out, it can be lost on death. Up Next! We’re now working on two major features that will give you and your crew more choices during every trip to the swamp:A Second Fish Monger 🐟A second Fish Monger is coming to the Dock with an entirely new set of Bounties! Each Fish Monger will offer a different Quota reward, and you’ll be able to see both rewards ahead of time. You and your buddies can then decide which you want to pursue together. The Pawn Shop 🏚️Turn unwanted tackle into cash... or shop for somebody else’s castoffs! The Pawn Shop’s inventory will be populated by items sold there during your current session. Tackle permanently lost during the session will also make its way onto the shelves, giving your crew a chance to buy it back. We’re excited to see how these features add more strategy, choice, and player-driven stories to every Dock!As always, thank y’all for your continued support and feedback!
