As the Evil Emperor's daughter, strategize and simulate your way through the Imperial Election to rule the galaxy. Build alliances, raise stats, and outmaneuver rivals in this indie adventure from Hanako Games.

About this game

Rule the galaxy or die trying!

You were never meant to be the heir. You were the second child, the pampered princess, busy with your friends and your pet and your collection of beautiful shoes. But then your mother died, your brother the Prince turned traitor, and your father the Emperor disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Now it's up to you to win the Imperial Election and claim the throne.

Set in the universe of previous title Long Live The Queen, Galaxy Princess Zorana carries on the tradition of strategic life-simulation in a deadly game of court intrigue.

Choose Your Strengths

Every turn, you can choose different skills for Zorana to study, transforming her from an unprepared princess into a master of etiquette or swordfighting or lock-picking or spaceflight.

The skills you prioritise each playthrough will open up different possibilities for responding to story events. Danger is always brewing in the Celestial Empire, and every turn some situation will arise that requires Zorana to make decisions:

Attempting a lockdown without sufficient Military skill might backfire and make the Imperial Fleet rebel against you!

Keep Your Friends Close (And Your Enemies Closer)

To become Empress, you must win over a majority of the thirty Electors scattered around the Empire.

Travel to their locations and try to earn their favor by making political promises, carrying out quests, offering them positions in your cabinet, or even promising marriage. Every Elector has their own allies and enemies, so you must choose strategically which characters to court and which to ignore. Supporting one faction may make another turn against you.

Keep your eyes open - your fellow nobles are backstabbing schemers who wouldn't hesitate to assassinate an adolescent girl for their own benefit. Choose wisely.

Choice And Consequence

With dozens of skills to learn and hundreds of branching paths to follow, there is always another secret waiting to be uncovered. Your choices will shape Zorana's character and, through her, the future of the Celestial Empire.

Will you rule with an iron fist, or try to bring the Empire to a kindler, gentler tomorrow? Will your legacy shine brightly, or will you fail to win the Election and be wiped off the historical record? Will you even survive long enough to try?

LONG LIVE IMPERIAL PRINCESS ZORANA

  • Strategic map - travel around the Empire to claim votes and territory

  • Colorful aliens - dark elves, cat people, mushroom monsters, and many more

  • Dozens of characters - choose where to make alliances to shift the balance of power

  • Royal fashion - over a dozen outfits to unlock

  • Branching story - many ways to win and even more ways to die!

    Patch 1.0.31 live

Changes:There is now a little explanation presented the first time you hit one of various assassination situations, if you have Show Tutorials enabled. This should help explain a little better why these attempts happen and how to avoid them. Surviving an assassination attempt is always going to rely on having high skills to deal with an unforeseen situation, but preventing the attempt from happening in the first place is much more predictable. This will also unlock an Assassins entry in the codex with some useful information about common assassin types.Investigate Background now functions differently internally so it should no longer make all backgrounds be skippable as if you'd read them before when you hadn't - which means right now none of them will be skippable because the new info isn't set.Extra page breaks added to some Carjer-related epilogues, which both fixes some crashes and makes the text actually readableCrash while trying to scare Jade with a bomb at particular skill levels fixed.Removed a blank dialog box with MuistisAdded a missing dialog fade for Chapadoc's quest when you don't have enough piloting skill(This was mistakenly listed as 1.0.30 when it was in beta, I just forgot the numbering. Same thing, it's the patch that was in beta over the weekend.)

The first big content update for Galaxy Princess Zorana is now live on the main branch. Big Content Update in Beta - Patch 1.0.25

Hello! We've been cooking on this for quite a while now and the list of changes is pretty enormous so we'll only list the biggest things here. Patch 1.0.25 is now available for public beta testing - to get to it, right click on the game in your library and select Properties, then go down to Game Versions And Betas. You should see a 'Beta' option on the list - no password is necessary. If you do NOT see 'Beta' on the list you may need to restart Steam first (because we just made this visible). Switching to that should update your game to 1.0.25What's in this new version? Well, first off, we're finally bringing in flavor text for learning different skill levels. Had to do a bit of fiddly stuff to make this work with the way class studies are designed so we're definitely interested in feedback and any problems encountered with the timing and display of the texts. As part of adding the flavor texts and adjusting the details of every skill, a HUGE list of skill checks throughout the game had to be slightly altered or have new options added. These will be summarised in a forum discussion post so go there for more info. Yes, this means all the guides are now slightly out of date, sorry!Next, as promised in the kickstarter stretch goals, special graphics for every romantic outcome:Every wedding gets a picture. Since Vasily can't be married, he gets a special CG during the game instead. Along with which we are now adding a CG Gallery to the Checklist! You will need to pay through the big Dragocen confrontation again in order to unlock those images for the gallery. In smaller changes, the Skip button has been made, by default, MUCH BIGGER because a lot of players simply do not see it and keep hammering away clicking into oblivion instead of skipping through read text. You can turn it back to its original size by selecting Compact Skip Button in the config menu. The code for feeding an Ebon Blot has been adjusted slightly in order to behave the way it was originally intended and ...
