About this game

Lead a diverse party of adventurers as they explore an ever-changing world, engage in strategic combat, and manage the complexities of adventuring life. Take on costly quests, battle mythical creatures, and discover many wonders, as you make a name for yourself in a world filled with opportunities and dangers.

Turn-Based Tactical Combat

As the world evolves, so too must your tactics; adapt your strategies and fine-tune your party composition to face increasingly dangerous threats. Every encounter demands sharp thinking, clever planning, and the perfect blend of power and precision to conquer even the mightiest adversaries.

Your Epic Saga Is Waiting To Be Written

Venture into a dynamic world where every journey holds new surprises. Caravans brave perilous roads, desperately hoping to evade ruthless raiders, while dense forests and towering mountains hide both mythical creatures and untold dangers. Discover ancient ruins brimming with forgotten relics and bustling cities alive with intrigue, where secrets wait to be unearthed.

Embark on quests that range from hunting down ferocious beasts and defending vulnerable villages to delving into shadowy conspiracies that could shake the realm. Each quest presents fresh challenges and rich rewards, pushing you closer to legendary status with every choice you make.

Become Legends

Forge your ultimate team of heroes by recruiting adventurers with distinct classes and powerful skills. As they grow stronger, unlock devastating abilities that can turn the tide of battle. Beta Branch 1.0.1.0 - Contract Negotiations, Town Requests

There have been a lot of fixes and updates since launch. Thank you all for your enthusiasm, support and even criticism at times. The game has a lot of moving pieces and many layers so I appreciate the patience of everyone as there were a massive influx of new systems, new drivers, and overall hardware specs with the launch. I'm not a big company or even an indie with 20+ people so I appreciate all the patience truly. Now having said that, those were the original promised features in 1.0 so now it's time to keep adding to the world and enhance things to the next level. Starting with some additional features tying in backgrounds and personalities more. Contract Negotiation A new contract negotiation system has been added to town job boards. Before accepting a contract, you can now choose a party member to negotiate the terms and potentially change the reward, renown, town reputation, deposit cost, and even the danger level of certain jobs. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45075215/b4527f6ea4a3cb1d5c8ca6e756ddbb489ef6fed9.png Negotiation is meant to be a gamble, not a guaranteed upgrade. The right character can improve a deal, but a bad negotiation can lower rewards, reduce renown, hurt town reputation, add extra enemies to kill quests, or affect party morale. Backgrounds now matter more when deciding who should speak for the party, and party members may react differently depending on how the negotiation is handled. Always choosing the bounty hunter for your negotiations can cause more enemies to appear as an example. Town Requests The adventurers now want things when they enter a town. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45075215/376223f5de0b1fd6c8594e304203ad026ddc4f6f.png A request only appears when the game can actually justify it. Damaged gear triggers a repair ask. An empty armor slot prompts a trip to the blacksmith. Low morale brings up a round at the tavern. Exhaustion suggests the inn. Hungry horses, injuries you can afford to treat, an open roster slot with the coin to fill it they all ha...

    The Adventurers 1.0 Release

Adventurers, Today marks the release of the 1.0 full release of the Adventurers! I honestly don't think I can put into words how grateful I am to everyone who helped get the game where it is today. The patch notes are fairly large but you can take a look at them here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/3062500/discussions/0/4625854060009886796/ To everyone who played, reported bugs, wrote up feedback (even harsh ones at times), answered my questions, gave me suggestions, and stuck with the game through all the random errors (like when a save file got messed up), THANK YOU. Everything shaped the game to what it is today. There were definitely mistakes along the way and more than a few decisions I probably would have done differently but you all put up with those moments and continued to give the game a chance. The game has mostly been a solo side project for quite a while now and I am so happy at how far it has come. But I also wanted to give a big thank you to all the artists I partnered with along the way. I never called myself a solo project because when so many people have helped in the community and contractors I worked with (especially early on), I never wanted to say it was all just me because the honest truth is it wasn't and it wouldn't have been fair to say that. The Adventurers could not have made it to where it is without you all. This idea grew into something much larger because you were all willing to play it, criticize it and support it. I know there are a lot of questions about what's next? I don't have every answer, but I can tell you the world of Shion will continue on. In the immediate future I want to continue opening up more elements to modding if there is a demand for it. The game has so many layers on it that are really easy to miss as well so to aid in that I have created three new guides as well. The Adventurer Guide - Covers the adventurers themselves and some of the systems surrounding them. The Towns Guide - Explains the town features, shops, ...

Beta - Mod Support, Live - Balance and Icon Updates

Adventurers The initial setup for mod support is now currently available on the beta branch. This update exposes the classes, creatures and items. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45075215/823db0bf1a8f0876e35669534b49c96059b03ef3.png When this hit live, I plan to update with a full guide on how to change icons (just modify the file to override the icon or portrait and use a relative path in the folder for example icons/filename.png. This only works for the beta branch but now that it is set up, I'm looking to start to expose more elements. I'm just trying to ensure when you mod things it doesn't cause oddities since you won't have all the checks in place. Thanks as always for your patience and support!
