Road to Wealth - Fixes Time!
Hey everyone, I managed to find some time to address number of issues. Now game should be in much more polished state. Highlights Added a new Fencer strategy pawn with a Riposte effect. Added smarter strategy battle AI, including better target selection, ranged attacks, support positioning, and enemy spawning. Reworked the save/load system with manual saves, system saves, autosaves, backups, and legacy save migration. Added new display settings for window mode, resolution, monitor selection, VSync, and frame rate limits. Polished over 400 story text entries across multiple story files for grammar, clarity, and readability. Gameplay & Combat Improved enemy decision-making in strategy battles. Added better behavior for healers, banners, ranged units, cavalry-style units, and frontline units. Added smarter enemy spawn choices based on battlefield pressure and team composition. Added post-move ranged attacks for valid units. Improved shield, riposte, looter, regeneration, and group-buff interactions. Added a strategy battle speed toggle. Fixed several combat skill issues, including Holy Light targeting, spell effects and shield destruction accuracy. Improved Ironman behavior so defeat properly removes Ironman saves instead of preserving invalid progress. UI & Quality of Life Added a safer delete confirmation flow for saves. Improved Continue behavior so it loads the latest valid save more reliably. Improved death screen and battle replay availability logic. Added safer save slot date parsing and missing portrait handling. Improved character creation with trimmed names, name validation, portrait preview updates, and safer audio previews. Reworked loading screen curtain transitions with smoother fades. Visuals & Assets Added new main menu background artwork. Added a coin-based loading spinner sheet. Added a Fencer portrait. Added settings panel with audio sliders. Added confirmation panel to "Start New" button. Added button to lockpicking minigame to see tutorial panel again. Fixed some typos. Road Merchant and Box-boy should now recognize your gender correctly. If you encounter any dead end or any other bug don't hesitate to report it.
