Embark on a survival quest in To The Grave: The Wildlands of Faenora, where strategic battles meet vivid pixel art. Navigate the treacherous Wildlands as you explore, fight, and rise again if defeated—each playthrough is a new challenge from 2TG Entertainment.

About this game

Step 1: Get amulet from mysterious wizard.

Step 2: Chase massive gryphon through medieval fantasy world.

Step 3: Die. Come back. Repeat.

To The Grave: The Wildlands of Faenora is a tactical turn-based roguelite where you're either a hero in the making…or just the latest fool sent to their doom with an amulet and a dream. Choose your fate. Recruit your crew. Hope the gryphon doesn’t eat everyone this time. Or a dragon. Or a huge corrupted bear that wears gloves for some reason.

Key Features:

  • Tactical Squad Chaos: Command a squad of semi-qualified adventurers in turn-based battles where every move counts. Position your heroes on a 3x3 grid, exploit enemy weaknesses and try not to get obliterated. Again.

  • Customize or Die (Probably Both): Deck out your units with swords, armor, enchanted trinkets and questionable fashion choices. Promote them to new classes, unlock powerful abilities and pretend this was all part of the plan.

  • Pick a Path, Regret it Later: The Wildlands don’t come with a roadmap — just cursed loot, suspicious strangers and way too many forks in the road. Every run brings new events, new challenges and new ways to die (but creatively!).

  • Grid-Based Brilliance: Front-row brawlers, back-row sharpshooters and watching out for that one ghost who insists on floating sideways. Plan your formation wisely or watch chaos unfold. Pro tip: ranged units in front = bad.

  • Pixel Art Magic: A visually whimsical world packed with monsters that look surprisingly huggable. Every nostalgic pixel drips with charm and the potential of corruption by dark forces.

The Story

In the Kingdom of Faenora, legends are forged in steel, sorcery and, sometimes, a series of poor decisions.

You begin in a tavern. You hear about a gryphon. You get handed a death-defying amulet by a wizard with questionable motives. Now, with nothing but determination and a loosely assembled crew of allies, you march into the Wildlands to chase glory, riches and whatever that gryphon’s problem is.

But the Wildlands hold more than just oversized bird monsters. There are secrets buried in the forest, corruption leaking from the Netherrealm and maybe — just maybe — something you were meant to find.

Even if you die a few dozen times on the way. (Which you will.)

Join the Adventure

Be among the first to get slaughtered, resurrected and mildly traumatized in To The Grave: The Wildlands of Faenora.

Wishlist now to pre-register for early access, explore forests and dungeons in isometric pixel art goodness, save cute red pandas and help shape the game as it evolves. Your feedback could save lives. (Probably not yours.)

    Fighter Class Redesign

As part of our overhaul, redesign and tweaks galore, we've changed the Fighter class to a Brawler! The Fighter sprite was admittedly...heavily inspired. Playing through the game, particularly with the renewed focus on the story and a cohesive design concept within the world of Faenora, the Fighter sprite design seemed a bit out of place. Enter the Brawler. Eye covered, because he only needs one eye to see the enemy he's about to brawl with and/or it looks cool. Unlike the one trick, only fists pony that was the Fighter, the Brawler can equip swords and fists. The Brawler is the primary melee damage class and has the moves to prove it. . More to be revealed about the new and improved Wildlands of Faenora soon, including details on the private beta playtests that will be running periodically until the end of 2026! Stay tuned!

Wildlands of Faenora - June 2026 Teaser

It's time to open the kimono, just slightly, to share a glimpse of what we've been building in the shadows. The alpha demo for Wildlands of Faenora clearly showed us that people love the gameplay loop and the engaging RPG / roguelite systems we've built. So what was next? Time to dive in head first to add the heart of the game. The narrative that draws everything together. There is an epic tale to tell in the Wildlands - one of betrayal, sacrifice and a cute dimension-travelling red panda inventor - and we're on the path to do just that.We have done a complete redesign of the user interface, from the battle visuals (including all new unit and skill animations, targeting visuals and more), menus, transitions, animations and cutscenes. Rather than talking portraits, we have put together an isometric cutscene system inspired by our favourite pixel art cutscenes of yesteryear yesterdecades from the classics that inspire us, such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Ogre Battle 64. In the coming months, we will be pulling back the veil to showcase the behind-the-scenes development, dive deep into what is to come in the Early Access version of Wildlands of Faenora and start providing more concrete details, like "When?!". Thank you so much for your interest and excitement in the game. The Wildlands still hold many secrets and we can't wait to uncover them with you.

Wildlands of Faenora - Release Update

Developer Update: The Future of Wildlands of FaenoraHiya!First off, thank you. The passion, feedback and chaos you brought to the Wildlands of Faenora Alpha Demo were beyond anything we could’ve hoped for. Watching you experiment, strategize and spend hours and hours in this alpha demo reminded us exactly why we’re building this world together. In our alpha demo, we've had more than 7,000 players play tens of thousands of hours exploring the Wildlands and pressure testing our gameplay loop. The purpose of our alpha demo was to make sure that we were on the right track with the basic gameplay loop. Mission accomplished. Now for the update: Wildlands of Faenora will not be releasing in 2025.For those that are disappointed - thank you for caring about what we're building. You will not be disappointed with what is to come. We’ve been hard at work on three major fronts:A Complete Backend Overhaul – We tore down the old systems and rebuilt them from the ground up to allow for far more flexible, dynamic tactical battles and systems and better (less grindy) balancing. We had used some third-party systems to put together the alpha demo in record time, but it became clear that the ambition we have for the project requires our own proprietary system. That took time, but we're on the tail end of that work, which gives us all of the flexibility and capability that we need for what we have planned for the early access release and beyond.A Full UI Redesign – Every pixel is getting the royal treatment. Cleaner interfaces, sharper animations and a visual polish that feels right at home in Faenora’s handcrafted world. Our goal is for the pixel art in our game to live among the greats, without any shortcuts. An Expanded Story Worth Fighting For – This isn’t just another “save the world” story. It’s about what happens after the world demands saving and what kind of people we choose to become when we’re given second chances. Or third chances. Or fifty-eighth. Your choices won’t just chang...
