About this game
Unpossess is a 1-4 cooperative exorcism simulator game set in the early 1900s. Drawing inspiration from iconic supernatural films, players step into the shoes of exorcists tasked with numerous cases of demonic possession.
Whether alone or with your demonologist companions, you will have to exorcise evil spirits.
You'll encounter cases involving human possession that demand your attention. Your primary objectives include cleansing the afflicted area, capturing evidence, and conducting an exorcism ritual to free the possessed individual from demonic influence. However, as you pursue these objectives, you'll need to carefully manage your own health and sanity.
Progression
Unpossess offers a progression system where you can unlock new abilities and cosmetics as you gain more experience.
Character customization
Customize your exorcist with your own style.
Haunted object collection
Players will have their own haunted object collection, which they can showcase in the pre-case lobby.
Demonic AI
Encounter dynamically generated demonic AI, ensuring each possession case is a unique challenge.

As a solo game developer, it can be difficult to keep up with everything, but I want to start by once again saying thank you to every single one of you who played Unpossess or created content around it. Your support has meant a lot, and it has been an incredible experience.Now, I’m excited to share some news:The Unpossess universe is expanding, and it’s coming very soon.As some of you may know, the sequel, Unpossess 2: Exorcism Simulator, is currently in development. This sequel builds on the foundation of the first game and expands the world, gameplay, and overall experience.Unpossess 1 was set in the early 1900s and introduced the beginning of the exorcists’ story: how they started to form, learn, and face the unknown.Unpossess 2: Exorcism Simulator takes place in the late 1900s, where exorcists have grown, evolved, and become more experienced. The sequel will include graphical reworks, objective reworks, new equipment, a new gameplay loop, improved animations, and much more.There will also be an identification system for players who enjoy ghost-hunting mechanics. The game will combine the core objectives of an exorcism simulator with elements inspired by popular ghost-hunting games. While ghost identification will not be the main focus, it will be an important part of the overall experience.I’m currently looking for playtesters who would like to get early access to the sequel and help shape the game with feedback and suggestions.
