About this game
Dear high witchness,
The Lanternville is glad to inform you that the next Magic Lantern Festival will soon be held.
Everything you need to participate is thirst for wisdom and a nice little familiar.
Under the name of The Great Witch, let us praise every single drop of knowledge!
Sincerely yours,
Magic Lantern Festival Committee
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To newborn witches, the Magic Lantern Festival is a feast held in Lanternville every time the committee feels motivated.
This time, the rule is very simple; let your familiar survive a bullet hell of magic for a certain period of time.
Each witch you encounter in Lanternville will continuously emit magic while giving random quizzes on their field of specialty.
Not answering or making mistakes on the given quiz will result in tough penalty... Don't think about doing so on purpose!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
On a pixel-designed 2D stage, you will have to survive a bullet hell for a certain time period.
Not only that... you also need to answer quizzes simultaneously in order not to let the bullet hell become more and more dense.
During the Early Access, players can access to 9 genres of quizzes, each of them with an Easy mode and Hard mode.
There is also a practice mode where you can only practice solving the quizzes (without the bullet hell).
Back from the Dead — and Now Free to Play!
Hey everyone, it’s been a while! Some time ago, we announced the cancellation of the game’s development and took it offline... But good news: we managed to recover part of the corrupted development data! As a result, we’re officially changing the project’s status from “Development Canceled” to “Casually Back in Development.” 🎉 And that’s not all! With this comeback, Magic Lantern Festival will be shifting to a Free-to-Play model! That’s right — from now on, you’ll be able to enjoy that painful experience for free ✨ “Free? So... does that mean there’ll be shady lootboxes?” Don’t worry! We have no plans to add any weird gacha systems with ulterior motives. Watching you all reluctantly solve quizzes while desperately dodging bullet hell patterns—and seeing the abysmally low Stage 6 achievement rate—is the greatest reward for the dev team. 【Update Details】 Removed some leftover elements from the former paid version (Some stages that temporarily disappeared will be re-implemented in future updates!)Read full article on Community Announcements (ykn)Patch NotesOfficial
