Temtem: Pioneers supports a wide variety of survival and action RPG playstyles.
Map uncharted biomes and chase hidden discoveries as an explorer. Build the ultimate combat squad and perfect your battle combos as a strategist. The bounty of the Downbelow! Gathering and resources
Hello, Tamers! On another end-of-the-week entry We’re making sure we cover the entire gameplay loop in Temtem: Pioneers, so today we’ll be talking about the gathering of resources and the many ways to use them you’ll have! Resources are a key piece in your Downbelow journey, and they’re the fuel for everything you do! Want to create Trinkets? They’re crafted with resources. Want to capture Temtem? TemCards are also crafted with resources. Want to have a Mount? The saddle is crafted with resources, and so forth and so forth! Resources cover a wide array of items: there’s wood, stones, crystals, ores, mushrooms, berries… A single element can drop different types of resources, too, like a bush dropping fiber and berries. Some of the resources you find in the Downbelow can be simply picked up from the ground without the need of a tool, but many will require a tool before they can be farmed. Take a look at some of the beautiful drops you can find across this wild world! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/952930a3ea68226b0dfb25ce2d2f4055e948a252.jpg The poop is the most popular resource in our company at the moment As for actually gathering, picking them up from the ground is simple enough, but the ones that require tools also have a gathering minigame associated. You’ll see some focus points, and if you manage to successfully hit most of those, you’ll get a multiplier on the resources obtained. You can totally ignore this minigame if you’re in no rush and want to farm them relaxedly, but for those looking to optimize their gathering this is the way! We can’t show you the farming minigame in action yet, as it’s not complete, but we’ll promise to showcase it in the future! Your tool matters! You’ll start off with the most basic of tools, but you’ll have to improve them if you want to be able to farm higher-level resources! And what will you need to improve your tools? You guessed it: resources. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/54f9712d251818e0704962531914e8949a1e126b.jpg Big axe... sm...Read full article on Community Announcements (Tsukki)AnnouncementsOfficial
Shining beautifully: Auri and Iris Temtem will be in Pioneers!
Hello, Tamers! Really juicy update today as we cover the two new color versions that will appear in Temtem Pioneers! Thanks to having reached our fifth Stretch Goal in the backing campaign, Auri and Iris Tems will appear in the Downbelow! Enjoy having 4 different color variations for your Tems, and never run out of stuff to tame! Let’s talk a bit about Luma, Umbra, Auri and Iris, and maybe even show a teensy tiny spoiler of the latter! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/e3f56ac0977a9e48f1e13041b57f2777eb60b886.png For those who are new to the Temtem universe, Tems can spawn in their normal color scheme, or in one of the (now 4) color variations in Temtem: Pioneers. Each color variation has a distinct look: Lumas are Tems with different color schemes and sparkling effects and trail; Umbras are their gothic counterpart, with a dark purple and black color scheme, and dark, hazy effects and trail; Auri, like their name might have given away, will be golden Temtem, and last but not least, Iris Temtem will be a beautiful iridescent color. We’ll be able to tell you more about their visual effects once we’ve finalized them! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/369753e7f886a89381a5ce7a83d7f42dd2877761.jpgCan you spot all the variations?🔍 Color variations have different ways to appear before you. You can find Lumas in the Downbelow right from the start, but Umbra, Auri and Iris will each have different ways of unlocking, and conditions to be met before they can appear and be Tamed. The Temtem’s stats will also be affected by their coloration! Just like in OG Temtem, Luma Temtem always have 2 out of the 5 SVs at maximum, with the rest of their SVs always being decent and upwards. Umbra, Auri and Iris Temtem will always have all their SVs at the maximum possible, so they will naturally be perfect Temtem! We know you’re all dying to know the rates for each color variation in Temtem: Pioneers, but those details aren’t yet final and it’d be unwise of us to share them. What we can tell you, howeve...Read full article on Community Announcements (Tsukki)AnnouncementsOfficial
Temtem of class: Pedigree in Pioneers!
Hello, Tamers! Friday, I'm in love! We’re back with another update, this time on Pedigree, the nifty new system that will improve Temtem species just by interacting with them in many ways! Pedigree is a new feature that we’ll be introducing in Temtem: Pioneers, and it will work towards the improvement of entire species of Temtem. Pedigree is measured in levels, and each species has its own level, independent from all the others. This level is tied to the Tamer, so other Tamers joining your server will start with Pedigree at 0 for all species, the same way it would happen to us if we joined a friend’s server. Each Pedigree level adds positive bonuses to the entire species! These bonuses can range from passive buffs and stat increases, to unlocking new Techniques, improvements for Techs, extra Dashes, the ability to apply status conditions, and more! Notice how the Banapi with higher Pedigree level inflicts Burn upon the Tateru! Raising the Pedigree levels of a species is really simple, actually! You just have to use or engage with that Temtem: Taming, breeding, defeating enemies and having them harvest resources with you will earn Pedigree experience, which in turn will level up their Pedigree. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/1216c473e9410c0e925ae7fb978ccb562b720387.jpg UI mockup. Final results may vary! Pedigree benefits apply to all the Tems of that species. This means new Tems you capture will have the current Pedigree bonuses, and you won't pay a price for swapping your fully-trained Tems for new ones; Pedigree also applies retroactively, so all Tems you already have will also benefit from it, and you don’t have to worry about swapping your long-time partners in favor of new ones just because you’ve upgraded their Pedigree. We leave the choice to you! The more Tems you interact with during your adventure, the better the Pedigree for the species will be, and that means improvements all-around! Make sure to give fair attention to all species, and build the perfect squa...Read full article on Community Announcements (Tsukki)AnnouncementsOfficial
New Temtem: Venito!
A frontier as unexplored and intriguing as the Downbelow houses many of the Temtem that populate the Archipelago, but there are also some new creatures that the Tamers above have never seen before. As a castaway in the Downbelow, you’ll be one of the first Tamers to meet these new species. Temtem in the Downbelow, like their counterparts above, can be battled, defeated, and tamed. Since you are on your way to face all these new creatures, please pay attention to this second introduction for another one of the first new Tems you’ll encounter. Be it ally or foe, these new Temtem are sure to impress and delight you! Bzzt! The sound jolts you awake: when did a mosquito find its way inside your room? Then you remember this is no mosquito. It’s your partner Venito, happily buzzing around, waiting to go on your next adventure. Venito - Wind/Toxic Sharply landing on your hearts! Everyone, welcome the brilliant Venito. This mosquito-inspired Temtem, with its mischievous little face, is a Wind/Toxic type. You can find Venito in the midst of the arid desert, buzzing around. Its name comes from venom + mosquito, but it’s also an internal wink to a tiny bug that inhabited the Crema offices for quite some time. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/f7fddec111e850b7012a771c16cce3cb1877021a.png Venito is cool everywhere: from its unique idle animation, which imitates the way mosquitoes fly, to its very dynamic and flashy combo, and a set of Techniques to lay waste to your enemies! I never expected to like a bug-shaped Temtem so much, but here we are! We hope you’ve enjoyed knowing more about this dynamic Temtem, and that you’re eager to learn more about the remaining new Tems shown in the trailer! If you wanna chat with other Tamers about Venito and any other Temtem: Pioneers news, you can join our official Discord server! And if you can, add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! It's the next best thing after backing our Kickstarter campaign :) https://store.steampowe...Read full article on Community Announcements (Tsukki)AnnouncementsOfficial
Questing through the Downbelow
Hello, Tamers! We're a bit late on the weekly update this week, but that's because we posted our first devblog yesterday!! Today we talk about the quests in Temtem: Pioneers Quests, like in most games, will be the main system to guide you forward and help you advance in your Downbelow story. It’s sometimes daunting to find oneself in such a large world without a goal, but quests can help you feel a sense of direction until you create goals of your own. You’ll find main quests, which must be completed to further progress, and side quests, which are optional, but all of them will be beneficial to complete! Some quests will be divided into steps, which are actions to complete before the quest can be marked complete. Some steps must be achieved in order, while others will not require you to follow any order. You will come across quests naturally as you explore the Downbelow, as you advance through the game, and from a few other sources, one of them being our next subject: Dr. Sasaya. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/a62a900f1c34b9abb990b02c76a6c493c37b5ce8.jpg In a situation like the one you’ll be in, stranded in an unknown place, a familiar voice means everything. From the banged-up remains of a radio comes a voice you recognize from the Archipelago: Dr. Sasaya. This brilliant Neoedo scientist and Dojo Master will become your one point of contact with the islands, and an invaluable guide and aide during your Downbelow journey. From giving you goals, to helping you understand this new world, to even sharing new recipes for you to build with the resources you find down there, Dr. Sasaya’s helping voice will become a beacon in your scary, but exciting predicament. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46072883/7184e559cd0f91327c634741e4fc5f9bc6fc7a8b.png The other important concept that will influence your progression across the Downbelow are the already-mentioned Trinkets. Trinkets are unique, small objects that you can equip and carry. They’re shaped like little charms that might pass off as d...Read full article on Community Announcements (Tsukki)
