Choose Cthulhu Files is the official adaption of the internationally acclaimed gamebook series Choose Cthulhu, based on the original works from H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos. The game will cover the different plots in the original gamebooks plus extra branches and brand new content exclusive for this game adaption.

While resting at home in Boston during the Christmas vacations, you receive an unexpected letter: Your great-uncle George Gamell Angell has died under strange circumstances, and you are his only heir.
You are about to begin a terrifying investigation full of dangers, in which each mystery you unravel will bring you closer and closer to death or madness. Visit dozens of different locations and talk to a large variety of characters that will help you unravel the mysteries behind you uncle's death.

Playtest Remains Open After Steam Detective Festival
The participation of Choose Cthulhu Files in the Steam Detective Festival has been a very positive experience for us. Thank you for an amazing 2025
This year has been very special for the Wildspell Games team. It has been a year of constant work, important decisions, and steady progress with Choose Cthulhu Files. The most important milestone of this year has been the release of the demo. To get to this point, we have taken part in different events where we received very valuable feedback that helped us improve the game, add new features, and fine-tune existing mechanics. This entire process allowed us to present an increasingly complete and solid demo. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45266872/6fa3189547557adbe1b49533ad109e7b305a0524.jpg Throughout the year, we had the opportunity to showcase the demo at events such as Animayo, Guadalindie, Gaming Experience Gran Canaria, Gamescom, London Anime & Gaming Con, Tokyo Game Show, BCN Game Fest, Unwrap Festival, and the Las Palmas Manga Festival. Each of these events was an opportunity to learn, listen, continue improving the game, and see firsthand how people face the story, their choices… and their own sanity.
