About this game

Story

Fed up with unavoidable double ads before videos, the protagonist decides to enter a bullet-hell shooter game (shmup) where shooting down ads is the goal. Completing all stages promises an ad-free experience for a while, but is it really that simple?

Bosses are Advertisers from Fictional Companies

Bosses attack using their company products as bullet-hell advertisements.

Note: Objects resembling hamburgers, cars, and realtors are advertisements and not actual food, vehicles, or people.

Full Japanese Voice Acting

Voice Cast:

Kyōhei Natsume / Haruki Asada / Yūki Amezawa / Daisuke Hirakawa / Masahiro Yamanaka

Note: The English version will include Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Beginner-Friendly Bullet-hell

Recommended even for those who usually don't play bullet-hell.

An Easy mode is available, and you can also increase the number of continues from the settings menu.

The protagonist's life is based on an HP gauge, so you can take more hits than it seems.

Original Soundtrack

Every stage and boss comes with its own custom-composed theme.

With ever-changing vibes, there’s never a dull moment.

All 7 Stages

Main Game: 6 stages × 3 difficulty levels

Extra Stage: 1 stage × 6 variations (with unique dialogues and ending illustrations)

Ads Aren't the Enemy

Defeating bosses earns you skills that can be used in subsequent stages.

Not shooting down ads — pausing your shots — can also prove beneficial.

Score Attack

Global score rankings are categorized by difficulty level. Advanced shooters, aim for the world's top score in Hard mode.

No In-Game Ads

No real ads are included in this game.

You’ll never be forced to watch one while playing—promise!

    Increased Score Cap

【Score Cap】 Previously, the score cap was set at 999,999,999. It has now been updated as follows: Steam Community Leaderboard: 2,147,483,647 In-Game Leaderboard: 99,999,999,999 The score cap of 2,147,483,647 represents the maximum positive integer value (int type) that the Steam ranking system can handle. 【High Score Recording Timing】 High scores will now only be recorded during the following moments if a new high score is achieved: During the mid-dialogue after defeating the Stage 6 Boss. During the mid-dialogue after defeating the EX Boss. Bug Fixes and Adjustments 【Unplayable Bug Fix】 Fixed an issue where skipping dialogue before the Stage 4 Boss battle by holding the button and releasing it during the final line prevented the boss battle from starting. 【Boss Durability Adjustments】 The Stage 4 Boss and the second phase of the Stage 6 mid-boss were too weak. We have adjusted their HP and the player's shot power accordingly. 【Confetti Randomization Adjustment】 Confetti during Stage 3's mid-section was biased towards the right side. This has been corrected to spread evenly across both sides. 【Item Spawn Fix】 Fixed an error where Graze items (green particles) were mistakenly spawning in place of Score items (light blue diamonds). 【Image Optimization】 Changed the image format for bullet patterns used by the initial attacks of the Stage 5 Boss and EX Boss from PNG to JPG to reduce file size. 【Graze Hitbox Enhancements】 Increased the number of enemies and bullets with Graze hitboxes. 【Volume Adjustment】 Decreased the title screen's background music volume by 10%. 【Easy Mode Interval Tweaks】 Adjusted certain patterns in Easy Mode where bullets took too long to start or had overly long shot intervals. 【How to Update】 If you open Steam for the first time that day: In your Steam library, the usual green "Play" button for Ad SHOOt will turn into a blue "Update" button. Click it to proceed. You may also see "Installing" or "Downloading" as the update progresses automatically...

Fixed Bug Limiting Score Ranking Display to 3 Entries

Bug Summary Due to a configuration error with the Steam ranking, only up to three entries were being displayed out of all participant entries. Score submission to Steam - Normal Ranking update - Normal Ranking retrieval and display - Error Apologies to those who cleared the game and were left wondering, “Why isn’t my score displayed?” or “What rank did I get in the end?” We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused! Click here to learn how to check your rank without replaying the full version. Fix Results Full Version: All entries now display in-game across Easy to Extra modes and are also reflected in the community rankings. Demo Version: All entries are now displayed in-game across Easy (Demo) to Hard (Demo) modes. Ranking Scroll Functionality If there are many entries, a scrollbar will appear, allowing you to scroll through the rankings with the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard or the D-pad or left stick on your gamepad. Although unintentional, scrolling also works with a mouse or pen tablet. It may also work with touch on supported devices. How to Check Community Rankings Open the full version of Ad SHOOt from the Steam client’s library. Click any icon in the Achievements section. In the top right, select the "Global Ranking" tab. "Easy Ranking" will appear in the upper left, displaying the Easy mode rankings for the full version. Select other difficulties from the top left tab, e.g., "Normal Ranking," and click the "Show" button next to it to view the selected ranking. *In-game confirmation of whether you’d like to participate in the rankings, showing your Steam username and icon, pertains to this community ranking display. *Demo version rankings are only viewable in-game and are not displayed in the community. Other Fixes In the Extra boss's second-to-last bullet pattern, grazing (near-miss) detection for enemy bullets was missing and has been added.
