Craft and customize your spaceship in Nion Forge, an indie action game where each module you add shapes your strategy against challenging bosses.
About this game
Play the Demo now for free.
Nion Forge is an action roguelite where you fight swarms of enemies above the streets of a cyberpunk city – in a ship you built yourself. Fast, arcade-style and hands-on: you're actually flying, not just walking in circles. A run to the fourth boss takes around 20 to 30 minutes. How much time you spend in the hangar after that is up to you.
Your ship is your build
Put it together in the hangar from 50+ modules and enter the games: 9 districts, 9 bosses, and beyond them, the way out. Run went sideways? Come back with scrap and build it better: 100+ upgrades, 30+ cores, countless builds.
Choose your own path
Upgrades are class-based: you steer where your run is heading instead of hoping for the right upgrades. More modules means more options in the pool – not more junk in your picks.
The loop
Enemies drop scrap. Scrap becomes modules in the shop. Modules become your next attempt in the hangar. And if top-down feels too relaxed for you: switch the camera and fly the chaos in third-person.

# 🔧 Nion Forge – Demo Patch 0.5.14Hello Pilots, this will likely be one of the final demo patches:). Our full focus is now on finishing the game.ːsteamthisː Forge Cores ːsteamthisːWith this patch, we’re introducing a major new system.Forge Cores are designed to give you more freedom in your builds while also providing a noticeable advantage for larger ships.Cores can be found during a run starting from District 2 through various actions. They are divided into:Weapon CoresDefense CoresSupport CoresUpgrade-Weapon CoresEach ship has its own inventory, including a slot bar for socketing Cores. The number and distribution of slots are determined by the modules you install:The more modules you equip, the more Core slots become available. If you install the same module multiple times, the corresponding slots receive a multiplier. A new display in the hangar has been added to show this. The possible effects range from protection and increased thrust to cross-scaling between different weapon classes. For example, you can grant your Rocket Launcher additional Bullet Damage scaling. In total, 37 unique Cores have been added to the game.Upgrade-Weapon CoresIn the full game, each upgrade weapon will receive two Cross-Scaling Cores. These not only increase damage but also add new tactical effects.Examples:The Head Cannon can either trigger explosions on kill or set enemies on fire on critical hits. However, you must choose one of these variants. For the demo, we’ve added two Cores each for the following weapons:Head CannonSpread GunRocket LauncherShock NovaOrbital LaserBackfire BeamYou must first select the weapon at a boss. In subsequent boss fights, there is a chance that instead of another upgrade weapon, you’ll be offered a matching Core.In the full game, after 8 Districts, you’ll typically end up with a combination of 4 upgrade weapons and 4 Upgrade-Weapon Cores. When you choose to take a new weapon or a Core is largely up to you.We hope you enjoy these additions.---## ⚖️ Balancing...Read full article on Community Announcements (Prayer90)
