About this game
A heartwarming buddy comedy adventure set in a colorful utopian space mall. Explore casinos, hotels, bars, gardens, a nonsensical trade show, and touch some synthetic grass. A fully voiced ensemble of quirky characters. Cinematic cut-scenes and an original synth-heavy score.
You are Cargo. An alien with a heart of gold and dreams made of stars. When a freak transporter accident fuses his mind with his idol — the legendary, presumed-dead scientist Nova Cassidy, Cargo's plans to start a new life are put on hold.
Nova concludes the sinister TEAL Corporation sabotaged her, which now controls The Plaza, turning it from the place of scientific progress Nova once envisioned, into a space mall with bars, shops, hotels, casinos and many more questionable attractions.
Cargo loves this place — Nova hates it!
Can they work through their differences to bring Nova back to reality?

A chunky demo of Nova Forever is on the way. Let's take a look!
Demo is on the way! Let's take a look.Friends, it has been so long!I think it's safe to say at this point that I'm not the best when it comes to devlog consistency, or sending life signs, period. Life is busy these days, and with the things taking up my time outside of making this game, I more often than not decided to focus on making actual progress on the game itself, which resulted in radio silence. But the good news is, this game has a healthy, beating heart! (Currently at around 128 BPM, which is the BPM for that new Phoebe Bridgers song Lost Boys.)I'm super happy to announce that a chunky demo of Nova Forever will be released this year! I can't wait to share something playable finally after such a long time working on this already.A lot has happened since the last time I told you about the demo. I got some lovely people to test and give their feedback, leading to quite a few overhauls of the structure and design of this one-hour-plus-prologue. These changes were mostly to give the game a better flow, and to make the puzzles a tiny bit more elaborate and challenging. Last time, I mentioned the puzzles being a particularly nasty headache for me. So far, I haven't found a prescription for that. The thing is: How do you design puzzles in way that is only slowly ramping up in complexity and give a little nod to people playing this demo, looking for an answer of what to expect in the full game?Through vigorous, scientific testing and analyzing I came to the conclusion that I don't know. Also, it might be impossible — this is the prologue of the game after all. Things need to be introduced carefully and one by one, and the puzzles are no exception to that. I want players to experience the narrative and story I want to tell first and foremost, which is the main chunk of this demo. You'll see lots of cutscenes and lots of setup for this little adventure you can expect in the full game. I want to do all that, while still enabling players to explore their surroundings and...Read full article on Community Announcements (potion of midi)Patch NotesOfficial
A Very Serious, No-Nonsense Update on My Game Nova Forever.
A Very Serious, No-Nonsense Update on My Game Nova Forever. This is a no-nonsense update about my game Nova Forever. Let me tell you something: People on the internet expect excellence, so we write concise and consistent devlogs — always! There are no fun and games to be found here. Well, this is about a game, so disregard that part, but we **are** serious here on the internet, so you better *not* strap in, because this is *not* going to be a bumpy ride, but a rather smooth one with lots of toilet breaks and snack runs in between. Stretch out your legs and download some shows onto your tablet — Plur1bus is excellent for example. We could even stop on the way and visit some obscure attraction on the roadside. I heard the world's biggest tumbleweed is rolling around somewhere on the way. I'll let you know once I see the signs!Update: I realized quickly that nonsense is way more up my alley! So enjoy this nonsensical devlog instead, please. Water sponsored this one today, so huge shout-out to water! It's healthy and keeps us alive and stuff.I Am Making a Demo!I am indeed working on the demo of a computer video game with features like full motion video, saving to disk, and stereo sound — it's a cutting-edge graphic adventure game called Nova Forever. Making this demo is like I'm on this unstoppable bus — very much like that movie Speed back in the day — only that this bus is very slow, and also very stoppable. More like a small, battered soapbox car. It's really nothing like the bus from that movie Speed back in the day.The Story So FarThe last time I talked about my game, I shared that I played through the prologue for the first time, which is also roughly the scope of the demo — more on that later. A lot of stuff happened since then. First and foremost I managed to launch the Steam Page.Making the TrailerI knew very early on that the trailer would be an important milestone that I wanted to get out with the Steam page. Why? To make myself happy! Also, to make a possibly...Read full article on Community Announcements (potion of midi)
