Navigate the perilous waters of Neverseas, an open-world RPG where your choices on the high seas determine the fate of empires. Command diverse crews, engage in tactical battles, and uncover hidden secrets beneath the waves.

About this game

In the Age of Discovery, amid rumors of new lands, vanished fleets, and untold riches, there arose a legend of the Neverseas — a world beyond the known maps, hidden behind a veil of mist.

For a long time the tale was dismissed as a fable. But when the first travelers found their way there and back, the great powers could no longer afford to ignore the rumors. Armadas, merchants, mercenaries, and adventurers set sail beyond the horizon. And so began a new race for power, resources, and trade routes.

Neverseas is an adventure action RPG about a captain, a ship, and the struggle for influence across uncharted seas. Explore islands, wage battles at sea, make landfall, join sieges, trade, plunder, forge alliances, and bend the world's economy to your own ends.

Venture beyond the known maps — to where the mist conceals new lands, ancient ruins, sunken ships, and perilous routes.

Explore islands, seek out rare resources, chart new paths, and confront mysteries that for centuries have lain beyond the reach of the known powers.

Your ship is more than a means of travel. It is your home, your weapon, and the foundation of your future influence.

Command your vessel, gather your crew, and upgrade the hull, sails, armament, and rigging. Make the decisions that will determine the outcome of your voyage, the state of your crew, and your place in the world of the Neverseas.

In Neverseas, trade, war, and politics are bound together.

Haul cargo, supply settlements, intercept enemy shipments, and shape the flow of commerce. Engage in naval battles, maneuver under fire, pick your moment for a broadside, and win the advantage through cunning as much as through force.

And when cannons are not enough, make landfall, take part in land battles and sieges, and seize control of key strongholds.

Begin with a single ship and gradually forge it into a force to be reckoned with.

Forge alliances, take sides in the conflicts of the factions, develop trade hubs, expand your influence, and harness the world's economy to shift the balance of power.

In the Neverseas, every decision carries a price: a bargain struck, a raid, a disrupted supply line, or a battle won may prove the first step toward building a maritime power of your own.

Neverseas Open Playtest — starts May 18 at 18:00 GMT

Captains, Ahoy! We're glad to share the news: on May 18, the Neverseas open playtest kicks off and runs for three weeks. That means you'll get your hands on a noticeably larger slice of the game than originally planned — and we'll finally get to hear what you think of it.Why an open playtest instead of a demoWe were originally putting together a classic demo. But the closer we got to this stage, the clearer it became that, for what we want to achieve right now, an open playtest is the better fit.A demo is, by design, a small and tightly curated slice — a fixed scenario, a polished set of mechanics, presentation-ready from top to bottom. It's a great format for showing the "face" of the project to people seeing it for the first time, but for our current goals that slice ends up being too small. An open playtest works differently. It lets us put a significantly larger chunk of the game in your hands while keeping room for us to maneuver: add mechanics, tune existing ones, and ship updates during the playtest itself, based on what you tell us. That's exactly the mode of work we need right now to move toward release faster and more precisely. So the format change is a deliberate choice — we want to show you more of the game, and to keep enough room to act on your feedback not "in the next build six months from now," but right here, right now. What's in the playtestOpen world — for the playtest, we've prepared ten islands. That's enough to get a baseline feel for how the core mechanics work, and how they interact with one another.A living economy — colonies and settlements are connected by trade routes, and prices react to demand and events. It's not set dressing: you can plug into this system, profit from it, or break it.Your own path — from pirate to merchant patron — some will go for the black flag and boarding actions; others will buy up production and play the long, quiet game. We've worked to make both paths viable, along with anything in between.Factions and relations...

20,000 wishlists — the result of our shared journey and hard work.

We’ve reached 20,000 wishlists, and we want to sincerely thank each and every one of you.For our small team, this is a very important milestone. Every wishlist, comment, discussion, piece of feedback, and share helps Neverseas move forward.Right now, we are actively working on the Neverseas demo, which is planned for release on May 18. The main focus of the demo is to show not just separate mechanics, but gameplay built around a living world simulation: economy, naval battles, sieges, trade, resources, and conflicts that do not simply happen on their own, but emerge from what is taking place in the world. We want players to feel that every action has consequences. A captured ship, a disrupted trade route, a shortage of resources, or a successful siege should influence the overall course of events and open up new opportunities. We are especially grateful to our friendly community — your support, interest, and belief in the project mean a great deal to us. Thanks to you, we continue working with even greater motivation. There is still a lot of work ahead, but this moment is truly special for us.Thank you for being with us. The seas beyond the veil of fog are getting closer.— The Neverseas Team💬 Boosty 🎁 Patreon

    Demo Trailer Out Now!

Welcome, dear friends! We’d like to share that we’re currently at a very important stage. We’re preparing a major update and a demo for May — including for the festival.Today we’re showing you the first teaser of what’s to come!It feels like this is no longer just a set of mechanics, but the point where everything starts coming together as a system. After playtesting, we significantly expanded the foundation: added boarding mechanics, factions, and began developing the management of your own holdings. But our main focus right now is the economy. We are gradually moving away from the idea of “economy somewhere in the background” toward making it the foundation of everything that happens. It begins to explain the conflict, the progression, and the player’s decisions. In the demo, you will experience:— Naval combat inspired by the Age of Sail (16th–17th centuries)— Team spirit: gather your friends, take your place on the captain’s deck of your flagship, and chart a course to victory through roaring cannons and relentless battle— Sieges of cities and colonies— Boarding actions evolving into brutal close-quarters combat on deck— A living world economy where every decision shapes the fate of nations— Management of your ship, trade routes, and colony development— A dark, oppressive ocean atmosphere where the sea itself becomes a threat“The sea here is not just a battlefield. It is a system you must become part of.”What’s next?Add Neverseas to your wishlist if you haven’t already.Join us on Discord and share your feedback and ideas — we read everything! The demo is just the beginning. Raise the sails!

Our Naval Playtest is now over!

Ahoy, friends! Our Naval Playtest has come to an end! We'd like to thank you for participating in it!The main goal that we pursue is the goal that makes each of us crawl to our computers in the morning, spilling coffee along the way, the goal that keeps us sitting in our chairs for hours, like a kraken from the depths of the sea, wrapping its long tentacles around the developer...Thoughts about this goal keep you awake at night, and because of these thoughts, the developer may miss a night watch on the foremast a meal, or a nap. This goal is the answer to the question:Will they play our game? The idea may be great, the wrapper may be beautiful, but will the player want to play again? What is the key mechanic of the game, what actions will I repeat over and over again, and what will never bore me?It is the naval battles that we were excited about and that we would like you to enjoy. In this test, we wanted to understand how playable our core mechanics are, how clear they are, and how engaging they are.Naval Playtest was a test of naval battles, which are a key mechanic in Neverseas. Thanks to you, we've been able to determine whether the massive ship feels pleasant and easy to control. Is the water beautiful, do the cannons feel recoil, and is the overall naval battle dynamic? Do the cannons take too long to reload, and do the sails obstruct the view?During the development process, we constantly faced difficulties and disagreements, quarreled and made peace, but it was only thanks to your many feedback that we made important decisions and drew the necessary conclusions. Thanks to the feedback and bug reports we received, we were able to fix more than 200 errors and bugs! Together with you, we have done a great and important job, which resulted in the definition of the appearance for the following systems and mechanics:Wind modelIn the testing process, we found that a more arcade-like wind model and its predictable behavior allow the player to focus on the action of the ba...
