About this game
Exploration
Explore atmospheric, detailed locations and enjoy realistic graphics with a carefully crafted environment. Overcome obstacles, climb over barriers, crawl through tight spaces, and scale heights - only the most determined will find their way forward.
Puzzles
You will encounter various puzzles along your path, solving which will be the key to understanding the true nature of these events.
Atmosphere
Step into the role of a fragile girl and feel the silence of the dark corridors. Explore the shadowy locations hidden around every corner of this once-familiar place.
Story
You open your eyes - it's a familiar ceiling, but something feels off. The silence is too deep. The place that was your home since childhood now feels empty, lifeless... almost unfamiliar.
Where is everyone? Why did they leave you behind?
To find the answers, you’ll have to move forward - through the unsettling darkness, through abandoned hallways hiding unknown dangers. But you won’t give up. Because you have a purpose. And if the world has truly fallen… then someone has to save it.
Combat
A unique close-combat system has been designed to make every encounter intense and dangerous. Even the simplest zombies are now formidable threats. With only a kitchen knife as your main weapon, combat takes place at a dangerously close distance. Experience a classic combat system where every move matters.
System Requirements
Will my PC run this? →Minimum
- OS: Windows 10, 11 (64bit) or later
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
- Memory: 4096 MB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB VRAM)
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 2 GB available space
- Additional Notes: To achieve optimal performance on minimal required hardware, I recommend playing at 1080p with Resolution Scale set to ~65% and all graphics settings on High. This should provide a smooth 60 FPS experience with good visual quality. Use this configuration as a starting point and adjust settings accordingly if your hardware is below or above the minimum requirements.

Update 0.51.2
Hello everyone! It's been just over a month since the release of update 0.50.0, and during that time the game has received several smaller patches. The current version is now 0.51.2.Below is a brief overview of everything that has been fixed, improved, and added to the game. All of the changes listed below are already available in the game and were introduced in patches 0.50.1 through 0.51.2.FixesFixed an issue that could cause the player to partially lose control of the character. This usually resulted in the player no longer being able to interact with the environment. Various combinations of player actions could trigger this issue. The cause was a major overhaul of the character control system compared to the previous version. The new system provides much better control over the character's various states from the developer's side. However, it also meant that situations which previously resulted in soft locks could now turn into hard locks.Over the past month, I have done my best to identify and fix all known cases, including those reported by players during the first few days after the update's release. Thank you to everyone who took the time to report these issues!Fixed a funny bug that allowed Ealish to climb over obstacles almost anywhere, instead of only at designated climbing spots. As part of this change, the entire climbing system has been reworked. Climbing over obstacles now uses the Interact (E) key instead of Space. This also fixes situations where Ealish would sometimes fail to find a valid climbing point on the first attempt.Fixed several minor issues with puzzles on the Research Floor.Removed an outdated note from Mark's room. After the release of version 0.50.0, players could find a note in Mark's room that no longer matched the current state of the game. It has now been removed.Fixed hints for undiscovered journal entries.Previously, some hints could point players to the wrong floor, causing them to search for journal entries in locations where they di...Read full article on Community Announcements (Black Rabbit's Tales)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 0.50.0
Hello everyone!Update 0.50.0 is now available. As usual, below you can find the most important and noticeable changes included in this new version of the game.Important:The story timeline has been shifted forward by approximately 10 years. As a result, many dates throughout the game have been updated. This is not a bug, but part of the revised lore.To access the new playable area, players who have already completed the Residential Floor must open the safe in Room 204 (Ealish's apartment) once again.Inside, you will find a keycard required to continue the story. To open the safe, you need to find out Ealish's date of birth. The clue is her birthday card, which you have most likely already found earlier. Check the date written on it carefully.Ealish's date of birth is the password to the safe.New Area: Research FloorA new playable floor has been added, continuing Ealish's story.Laboratory WingMedical WingTechnical LevelThe new area places a greater focus on fighting the infected and exploring dangerous locations. Players will encounter 4 new puzzles, new documents, audio recordings, and the next chapter of the story.Crafting ImprovementsThe crafting system has been reworked and received several quality-of-life improvements.Added the ability to choose how many items to craft at once.Added notifications for insufficient resources and inventory space.Improved interface navigation and overall clarity.A new "Processing" section has also been added. This allows players to process a new resource called "Sewing Scraps", which can be obtained from certain enemies. These scraps can be broken down into useful materials used for crafting new outfits and other items.Journal ImprovementsThe Journal has been significantly reworked to improve navigation and make it easier to find information. The location-based filtering system has been replaced with a nested category system, allowing for better organization of the growing number of records and making the Journal easier to browse. As the...Read full article on Community Announcements (Black Rabbit's Tales)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 0.50.0+ Releases on June 11
Hello everyone!I'm finally able to announce the release date of the next major update and break the silence that's lasted a little too long.Three busy months of development are now behind us, and in less than a week, on June 11, the new update will be available to all players. To be honest, the release was postponed several times. Each time there were new things that I wanted to polish, fix, or improve. But at some point, you have to draw the line and release the update. So I've decided not to delay it any further. You may still encounter a few rough edges after launch, and I hope you'll understand. As with previous major updates, the release will be followed by a series of smaller patches focused on fixing issues and improving the game based on your feedback. Now, let's take a quick look at what you can expect from the update.Research FloorThis is a brand-new area consisting of three subzones:Laboratory WingMedical WingTechnical LevelBased on my own experience, the new content should take around one to two hours to complete, although the actual playtime will naturally vary depending on each player's playstyle.New OutfitsTwo new outfits will be added to the game, with even more planned for the months following the update.Story ImprovementsA great deal of attention has been given to the main storyline. New areas have been created for the story, existing locations have been reworked, and the overall narrative has undergone significant changes. Notes and diaries have been completely reorganized, while a number of dialogues have been rewritten and improved.MiscellaneousThe crafting system has also received some attention. You can now choose how many items to craft at once, and a new resource has been added to help create missing materials needed for outfit crafting.Work on the character animations is still ongoing, and there is still plenty left to do. However, this update already introduces new walking and combat animations for Ealish. In addition, you will now be able to ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Black Rabbit's Tales)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 0.44.0
Hello everyone. While I continue working on the next zone, I’ve prepared a small update dedicated to the Lunar New Year and a number of QoL improvements. Below are the most notable changes.A new outfit for Ealish has been added in celebration of the Lunar New Year.Originally, a more complex costume with a new hairstyle and additional details was planned. However, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, we were unable to complete it in time. The full version of the outfit will most likely be added in the next update. As a small bonus, a themed swimsuit with Asian-inspired elements has been added to the game. The magazine related to this outfit can be found in Room 104 on the Residential Floor.A new wakizashi-inspired knife has also been added in celebration of the holiday. It can be obtained in the Gallery Storage on the Residential Floor as a reward for completing the level.BalanceIn one of the previous updates, a character level (displayed as a number in the corner of the screen) was added. Previously, it did not affect gameplay, but it now determines the maximum amount of health and energy. As a result, item restoration values and zombie damage have been adjusted. The system remains fairly compact and is intended to add some variety to the gameplay.A new parameter for knives has also been added — “Ease of Use.” It determines the amount of energy consumed when attacking with a specific weapon. Lighter knives consume less energy, while heavier ones consume more.InterfaceThe Statistics tab has been updated. This is mainly preparation for future Steam achievements support. The achievements themselves and their integration still require additional work. The first achievements are expected to be added in 1–2 upcoming updates.Important: When loading an old save file, statistics will be reset. To restore the counters, you need to move clothing items and plush toys to storage, and then take them back into your inventory.Posters cannot be restored at this time, as they will m...Read full article on Community Announcements (Black Rabbit's Tales)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 0.43.0
Hello everyone! Over the past two months, a lot of work has been done. As usual, below I’ll try to highlight the most significant and interesting changes.IMPORTANTDue to the reorganization of the Residential Area, and especially Ealish’s room, the character save and load system has been improved. Because of this, the first time you load any of your saves, Ealish will appear at the beginning of the game near the incubator. All your progress is fully preserved. Simply save again in any slot, and from that point on the save will load at the exact location where you left off.Residential AreaThe Residential Area has received major changes. Some locations have been reworked, with employee rooms being the most affected. These rooms were optimized to better match the environment and the game’s story.New connecting corridors have been added to make movement between areas more logical and convenient.Several new rooms have also been introduced: General Storage, TV Room, and Poker Room. Previously, some of these areas were located inside staff apartments, which could be confusing for players unfamiliar with the environment. In addition, many small environmental improvements were made.New OutfitsA new outfit has been added in celebration of the upcoming Christmas and New Year — so Ealish won’t get cold: a long sweater and reindeer antler headband.A new brightly colored swimsuit has also been added to bring a festive mood.Stockings are now available in two variants — black and white — as well as white versions of tights and footless stockings. The new outfit magazine can be found in General Storage.Graphics and UpscalingSupport for DLSS and FSR has been added in addition to the existing TSR. You can now choose between three different upscaling algorithms. New options are available in the Graphics section of the game settings. The Graphics tab has also been reorganized to provide a more convenient and clearer user experience. It is important to note that if you were already playing w...Read full article on Community Announcements (Black Rabbit's Tales)
