About the Game
Mercenarian is a single-player action RPG where monsters aren’t just enemies — they’re opportunities. Hunt powerful creatures, collect weapons and skillstones to steal their abilities, and shape your own fighting style.
Spit poison like a spider, slash through relentless foes, and grow stronger as you face deadlier challenges. Sharpen your weapons, choose how you fight, and live the life of a Mercenary.
Hunt and Slash Your Enemies!
As a Mercenary, combat is your way of survival. Hunt dangerous monsters and slash them all. Every battle pushes you toward deadlier challenges.
Steal Your Enemy Abilities!
Monsters are born with dangerous abilities — poison spitting, teleportation, diving underground, dashes, and more.
By using Skillstones, you can steal these powers for yourself. Equip up to five out of 40+ Skillstones to redefine how you approach combat and adapt to any enemy.
Raise Pet Monsters
Find young monsters, capture them, and raise them with care. Feed them properly and watch them grow — but remember, even monsters require attention to survive.
Upgrades!
Sharpen your weapons, improve your character’s stats, upgrade item capacity limits, and gain experience as you rise from a newbie into a Professional Mercenary, mastering the art of monster slaying.

☠️Unique Enemies☠️
Hey Mercenary! It's been too long since the last news, isn't it? I hope you're ready with all of these addition!New MapsThere are two new maps, all of them are dangerous, more dangerous than all of the maps currently available. The first one is Inner Creepfly Cave, a natural evolving cave, a glowy cave! Inner Creepfly Cave is full of Spiders and Bats, and there are two Unique Enemies inside (I will tell you more about it, so go on...)! Watch this video below and have a look at its dreamy cave!The second one is Abandoned Campsite. A campsite, deep inside the Deep Slimy Forest, an abandoned place that is left for too long... New type of enemy is here in this map! Not only that, there's one Unique Enemy here!Watch this video below and have a look at its danger!New Enemy TypeSkeleton is the new enemy! It is the first humanoid enemy in the game. It's not that tough, but they are hard to deal with since they hit hard, and they usually move in a group.Unique EnemiesThere are also three new enemies in the game, and all of them are Unique Monsters (which are harder than normal-type enemies). The first one is Batsy, a poisonous bat; Skeleton Hero, a long-ranged and heavy-hitting skeleton; and Albinee, a tough spider. Another BGM Teaser: Inner Creepfly Cave
Hey Mercenary! It's time for another update for the game. There are a lot of new things in the game, and the biggest new thing for now is a new map, which is called Inner Creepfly Cave. There are a bunch of new quests in there, and it's more challenging than others (Well, I also added a new hard quest in the Deep Slimy Forest :D). 🌎World #2 - More Details & Story Remake
Hey Mercenary! In the world of Mercenarian, there are several new additions. There are some more environment-related particles. Along with that, I also added some minor details that have a chance to be triggered during your journey, such as the Flower particle and Grass particle. Now, we can even hit the trees and bushes, and a reaction will occur in response. You can watch this short Devlog to know more about this!What's that at the end? 🤔You might notice that at the end of the video, there is a shot of the Main Character smiling.That's an example shot of the new Cutscene. Yes, I remade the entire story cutscene and the cutscene BGM. You will find that this new story cutscene is more detailed and gives more information about the Mercenary's motivation, and a very simple background.I remade the story cutscene due to a lot of graphical changes in the game, and a lot of changes too in the world itself. Other than that, the Story cutscene is just too simple and doesn't give a lot of information about the Mercenary. Rather than creating another "slideshow", I put more effort into this one and tried to enhance the quality. Still maintain the "slideshow-like" cutscene, but upgraded with a different approach. I personally think that this is A LOT better than before! Therefore, I hope that you will enjoy it too in the future!Lastly, I also did a lot of bug fixing in the game. While doing this and that, I noticed some bugs that can ruin your immersion in the game, but now they are fixed. However, there might be more undetected bugs in the game that I really hope to be fixed, so you guys can gain the best experience when the game is ready! The World Around Us...
Hey Mercenary! In this article, I want to tell you about what is happening in the world of Mercenarian. Now, you will see multiple visual effects in the world, such as Dust, Falling Leaves, and environment/place-related particles. These little changes matter a lot, they will add a little immersion to the world. You can also listen to the Creepfly Cave soundtrack Teaser! This background music (BGM) will accompany your journey in that cave. Be sure to wait for the full music in the future!There is also a new Visual & Sound Effects for the player when activating the skillstone. The sound is unique to each one!Lastly, there are also some things that I haven't showcased yet, because I just finished them. There will be a big change in the map/level itself. Multiple landscape modifications to make the level more fun to navigate, a lot of addition outside the map (so it doesn't seems flat), and also more decoration to see in the level.
