About this game

World of Sea Battle is an action-packed, open-world MMO set in the Golden Age of Sail. With dozens of historical sailing ships, pirates, PvP & PvE, player-driven economy, and territorial guild wars, this historical naval experience will put you at the helm as you sail, fight, upgrade, and trade alongside other players in search of glory on the high seas!

Welcome aboard! You are but one of many captains on the high seas. Trade, loot, explore, and wage war as you fight for control, glory, and riches! Will you fade as a nameless wreck or rise as a legend feared by foes and honored by allies?

From a modest schooner to a gigantic man o’ war and beyond, you’re at the helm of your fine journey, Captain. Featuring over 50 upgradable and customizable historical ships from the Golden Age of Sail - schooners, galleons, brigantines, frigates, and so much more - the Archipelago rarely sees the same ships wandering the deep.

Sail ho! Enemy ship on the horizon! Man your ship and show off the menacing captain that you are by engaging in epic PvE or PvP Naval Battles! Use round shots, heated shots, chain shots, and many more to beat the odds and become a feared ruler of the seas!

Set sail into the unknown as you push past the edges of the map into the Endless Sea - uncharted, untamed, and full of mystery. Amass enough gold, and you can claim your own private island - an outpost of power where fleets are mended and riches flow in from distant mines and workshops.

Gold fuels everything - and how you earn it is up to you. Raid merchant ships for loot, build trade empires through production chains, transport rare goods between regions, or fish the seas for profit. Whether through battle or business, fortune favors the bold.

While sailing solo has its pros, it can be incredibly risky. Team up with friends or form a crew and rule the seas. For larger battles and deeper strategy, join a guild and dive into port wars, politics, and the race for dominance across the Archipelago!

    Ship Elite Status

Elite Status: Develop Your Favorite ShipsCaptains! Each of us has a ship we want to play again and again.Maybe it is not the most powerful or the fastest. But at some point, you get used to it, find your own playstyle, and realize that this is the ship you enjoy taking out to sea.Over time, your favorite ship may become less convenient or profitable: repairs can be expensive, the hold may feel too small, and other ships may offer better economic returns. And sooner or later, ship progression reaches its limit — while we all love developing the things we enjoy.Elite Status will allow you to overcome this limit: you will be able to continue developing your favorite ship, making it noticeably more convenient and profitable to use in everyday gameplay. The Main Point: Elite Status Does Not Make Your Ship Stronger in BattleElite Status does not increase a ship's combat characteristics. It does not provide bonuses to damage, defense, range, or other parameters that directly affect the outcome of a battle. All bonuses are related to convenience and economy:reduce resource losses upon sinking;increase integrity;increase cargo hold capacity;reduce integrity repair costs and increase repair speed;increase experience and loot gained;add equipment preset slots. In other words, Elite Status makes your ship more convenient and efficient to operate without changing its combat capabilities.Six Elite Status LevelsElite Status consists of six consecutive levels. Each level has its own experience cost, and the levels can only be unlocked one after another. You do not have to aim for Level VI immediately: each stage already provides its own useful bonus.Level I — Resource Loss Upon Sinking −10%The first level reduces the amount of resources you lose when your ship is sunk.Level II — +2 IntegrityThe ship gains +2 maximum integrity. The additional two points become available immediately after unlocking the level.Level III — +10% Cargo Hold Capacity and an Additional Sail Design SlotStandard c...

    Q&A

Captains! This time, we decided to slightly change the format of our “Q&A”. Instead of a long list of short answers, we’ll take the most relevant questions one at a time — but in more detail. One of the questions you’ve been asking especially often lately concerns the new damage system and hits to the bow of ships. We've decided to answer them all in this article. Have a nice reding! Why can damage to the bow be higher than damage to the side? This is not a bug - it is intended behavior. It is the result of reworking several interconnected damage mechanics. We’ll go into the details below, but first, here are two important terms:Penetration - a shell’s ability to overcome a ship’s armor. The higher the shell’s penetration compared to the armor at the point of impact, the more damage the shell will deal.Damage - the amount of health a ship loses from a shell hit after its armor is taken into account. How did the system work before?Originally, damage was affected by several additional rules that were not always easy to notice. For example, hitting the stern gave the shell a +20% damage bonus, while the stern itself had its own armor value. As a result, the final damage was not always as straightforward as you might expect from the cannon’s stats. Moreover, the Targeted Fire skill increased damage, rather than the shell’s penetration. It also turned out that this bonus was not limited to shells hitting the bow or stern - it could also apply when hitting the side of a ship. What did we change? We decided to simplify the damage system and remove some of these additional rules.Removed the +20% damage bonus for hitting the stern.Removed the stern’s separate armor value.Changed the Targeted Fire skill: it now increases penetration instead of damage. The last change is particularly important. The Targeted Fire skill now helps a shell penetrate the ship’s armor rather than simply increasing the damage dealt after the hit.A damage bonus is applied after armor is taken into account, wh...
