Adventure, RPG, Simulation · More free games
Embark on whimsical adventures as an axolotl in Dungeons and Dining Tables, where you navigate treacherous dungeons for unique furnishings to decorate your cozy home. Improve your character's attributes by creating a warm sanctuary, making this adventure both challenging and rewarding.
About this game
Dungeons and Dining Tables is a Cozy-Adventure RPG where you play as an Axolotl on a quest to decorate their house and defeat the termites out to eat their furniture!
Randomly generated dungeons to explore with puzzles to complete, enemies to defeat and rare furniture loot to collect. Travel through the World Tree, take on new rogue-like challenges and defeat bosses for the most epic of furnishings (maybe even a Legendary Bed of Maximum Health!)
Furniture collected on a dungeon run can be used to decorate not only your humble home but also the homes of the cute and quirky characters of the Town of Kindlerest! Decorating your home will give you comfy points that are used to level up your house, improve player stats, upgrade shops and other quality of life features for your dungeon runs.
Uncover a story about kindness, compassion and community by helping each of the townsfolk with their fear and insecurities and doing battle with their alter egos.
Learn about the Town of Kindlerest, an old tailor named Percy, his adventuring buddies, and a spiky villain who really just needs a hug!
Your perfect home is just a dungeon away!

Kickstarter Backer Surveys Out Now!
Backer Surveys!!Hey everyone! Thank you so much for your patience on this, I'm incredibly excited to announce that we have just had our backers survey approved by Kickstarter and are now ready to start posting out your orders to you!! In the next day or so you'll receive a notification to fill in some details so we can start sending off your merch! this includes Keychains, Tote Bags, Sticker Sheets, Desk mats and of course- AXOLOTL PLUSHIES!! This is such an exciting time for us as a small studio because we get to share just a little bit of our world with everyone. This also means that we will no longer be accepting late pledges on our Kickstarter so we really wanted to that the almost 500 people who have believed in our vision enough to pledge funds to help us in the development of our first ever independent indie game! While you will no longer be able to pledge to the campaign, we have opened up the backer survey for addons - so if you missed out the first time, you can still get an Axolotl or a anything else. This type of support is my favorite because it helps us as a team to pay our developers and amplify our message (and you get something cute to show off!!) There is only limited stock left so get in quick! I don't know when we will be getting more merch!! Pixel Expo Perth trip! This week, we are visiting Perth, WA for their annual convention: Pixel Expo!! if you are in Perth please come along and visit us! we had such a great time last year and we are so excited to see everyone again this year! How's Development Going!?Oh man, Development is coming along SO WELL at the moment! in fact - we are actually starting a YouTube channel to show off all the awesome work the team is doing!! I haven't posted anything yet but once I do I'll make sure to let everyone know! We've been making a lot of changes to some of our more "Legacy" systems - this includes some boring stuff like updating our save system and hub states so that as the project scales and gets bigger these ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Catalyst Games)AnnouncementsOfficial

We are SO BACK! (from Japan)
Hey everyone! I hope you've all had a fantastic month, I know I did! Why did I have such a great month? well, because I was fortunate enough to be part of the Future Leaders Delegation by Screen Australia to represent Australia's game developers at BitSummit in Japan! It was such an incredible experience and I can't thank Screen Australia enough for their funding and on-the-ground support to help us navigate one of the biggest indie games conventions in the world! Can you see our little guys? 👀BitSummit in Japan was such an amazing opportunity and I'm feeling so grateful that I was able to attend and meet so many awesome developers in the process. I spoke in some interviews and totally forgot to take a bunch of pictures so here are some of the ones I did take! After the event we explored Kyoto and Osaka and did all your regular tourist-y things, including feeding the Deer in Nara and climbing a mountain shrine to watch the sunrise and visiting the Nintendo Museum! All in all it was a great experience and I'm now even more motivated to get back to work on Dungeons and Dining Tables (More info coming soon!) Where are the Plushies at!? In some really awesome news it looks like our plushies are almost ready to be shipped to Australia! I don't want to make any promises but it looks like we may be able to start fulfilling our Kickstarter backer rewards sooner than expected! how great is that! - this picture has become my new phone wallpaper- it's SO cool! Backer surveys are coming! I wasn't super prepared by the incredible response we received to our Kickstarter and demo so I want to make sure this process is as frictionless as possible for everyone! Extra MerchWe have has a few request from people about purchasing additional merch like more plushies, the LED Desk mats or Tote Bags. I don't have a great way of doing this just yet but if you'd like something please just message me and I can figure it out! - We may add a link to the Backer Survey for where you can order mor...Read full article on Community AnnouncementsPatch NotesOfficial

WOWEE! We are fully funded on Kickstarter!
Hey everyone! WE DID IT!!We are now OFFICIALLY FUNDED on Kickstarter. 101% of our goal with 5 days left! And you all know what that means??? STRETCH GOALS!!Thank you all SO SO much - we literally could not have done it without you - we are so looking forward to filling all of our backer rewards , both digital and physical (look at the end of the update for a secret picture)The world of Dungeons and Dining TablesThe poll is in and we are talking about dungeons today! Oh my AXOLOTL, this is seriously one of my favorite parts of this game and I'm so looking forward to pulling the curtain back a little to tell you all about the dungeons part of Dungeons and Dining Tables 🥳I closed this vote off early because I wanted to make this post but I imagine it will be the winner (So don't make me a liar!) I am such a big fan of dungeon crawlers, my cousin and I would grind Diablo 3 together on the PlayStation when we were kids - in fact I may call him up today and see if he's keen to run some of the new season content! I loved the idea of always getting new and interesting loot, I love the idea of finding new cosmetics like fire wings, or pets from a special treasure goblin, special armor or a special potion that improved stats when it healed you (all of which are inspirations we've used to help us build our game) so from a very young age I have been OBSESSED with making dungeons, especially random dungeons with random encounters and ambushes... 👀So, let's talk about dungeon designIn the early days, when I was first figuring our how we would create our random dungeon generation, I started on paper! There's lots of great ways to make dungeons, but something I thought would be easiest to test and give us a lot of freedom to create was this sort-of chunk method. Basically, We would create hand-crafted chunks and stick them together in a different order each time the level was generated. I took some inspiration from some of my favorite games at the time: Diablo 3 (obvs) but also T...Read full article on Community Announcements
