  Play Under Canopies October 23

  Hello everyone!I can finally give you a date.Under Canopies launches into Early Access on October 23! It feels a little unreal to finally write that down.I've been working on Under Canopies for almost four years now. What started as a small project about building a quiet life in the forest has grown into something much bigger than I originally imagined.And on October 23 you'll finally be able to start that life with me.⛺ A lot has changedIf you played one of the earlier demos you have only seen a small part of what Under Canopies has become.Over the last few months I've been working heavily on the progression and tutorial, expanding the building system, adding farming and improving animal behaviour. There are new resources to find, more things to craft and cook and more reasons to explore the different parts of the forest.Animals now have their own trust progression. You can feed them, care for them and slowly get closer to them. Photography and your wildlife album have become a much bigger part of exploring the world too.I've also spent a lot of time on the less exciting things that make a huge difference when actually playing: inventory improvements, controller support, better building controls, clearer quests, more settings and lots and lots of bug fixes.Under Canopies is much closer now to the game I've had in my head all these years.🌳 Build your own life in the forestEarly Access will let you explore a handcrafted open world and decide what your days there look like.Build your cabin piece by piece. Grow your own food. Cook meals. Explore new areas. Photograph wildlife. Get to know the animals around you and slowly turn a small shelter into your own place in the forest.There is still hunger, thirst, energy and temperature to think about. You'll need resources and better tools to progress.   Hello everyone,Today is a very special day for Under Canopies and I’m incredibly excited to finally share some big news with all of you.Over the last few years, I’ve been working on this project with a simple goal in mind: creating a peaceful survival game where players can slow down, connect with nature, and build a cozy life in the forest.What started as a small solo project has continued to grow thanks to your support, feedback and encouragement.And today, Under Canopies takes another big step forward. 🎉 Under Canopies Is Coming This SummerI'm happy to announce that I plan to release Under Canopies into Early Access this summer. To make this possible, I have a new partner - publisher Assemble Entertainment on my side who help me making my dream come true. As I mentioned in my old posts, I have various reasons to launch into Early Access. First and foremost, because I develop the game alone. But Under Canopies is not a game that is meant to be developed alone.   Building Under Canopies Together

  Hello everyone,I wanted to take a moment to speak openly with you.I have been working on Under Canopies by myself for almost three years now. It started as a small personal project, and over time it grew into something much bigger. Working alone has been rewarding, but it can also be difficult. When you are the only person building something, it is not always easy to know if you are taking the right direction or making the best decisions for the game.That is why I need your help.I truly want Under Canopies to become the best version it can possibly be. I want it to meet your expectations and feel like a meaningful, peaceful experience you enjoy coming back to. I am planning to release Early Access in a few months, and I am fully aware that there is still a lot to polish and many systems that need to be deepened and improved.I am completely open to feedback, ideas, and honest criticism.If you have played the demo, thank you.   Hey everyone! I wanted to share a quick (and honest) update with all of you who’ve been following Under CanopiesAbout the Discord ServerA few days ago, someone got access to my Discord account and deleted the official Under Canopies server. I’ve already contacted Discord support and I’m waiting to hear back to see if recovery is possible.If it can’t be restored, don’t worry — I’ll create a new official server as soon as possible so we can rebuild our cozy little community together again. I’m really sorry to everyone who was suddenly kicked or lost access — thank you so much for your patience and kindness. Development ProgressThe good news is that development is more active than ever! I’ve fixed lots of bugs, improved several core systems, and I’m now focusing on bringing more life to the forest — literally. Animals are coming to Under Canopies!Some will be shy forest creatures that roam freely, while others can be tamed and cared for on your land. Alongside that, I’m experimenting with a photography system, where you’ll be able to explore, find animals, and photograph them to add to your personal album.The Heart of Under CanopiesAs always, my goal is to make Under Canopies a peaceful, cozy, and nature-loving experience — a place where you can build your cabin, grow crops, cook, and live calmly under the trees.Thank you so much for all your support and excitement — you keep this project alive every day.
