Embark on a quest to uncover the truth behind the Demon Queen in Sacred Earth - Reverie. As a former knight of Amarcia, navigate the vast region of Istina with an RPG that blends adventure and anime inspiration from Sacred Star Team and VisuStella.

About this game

Sacred Earth - Reverie is a fantasy JRPG presented in the style of Point and Click games, inspired by JRPGs from the 2000s and 2010s. Explore dungeons, interact with your allies and the townsfolk, build your characters with equipment, abilities, and perks, and test your might against foes in thrilling turn-based combat.

Make peace with the past and embrace the future

In the ashes of a fallen golden age, long following the heroic deeds of the legendary group of heroes known as Illuminate, humanity now fights a seemingly endless war. At its heart stands the Demon Queen. An inscrutable force said to be the enemy of mankind.

After yet another catastrophic campaign ends in broken banners and lost morale, a battle-scarred knight of the Kingdom of Amarcia can no longer stomach the lies swirling about within this conflict. With a single doubt in their mind, they ask themselves: Are they truly fighting for salvation? Is the Demon Queen the monster their noble masters claim her to be?

Casting aside their armor, a lone knight takes up their sword and sets forth into the wilds. Seeking the truth behind the Demon Queen. The truth behind the heroic legacy of Illuminate, and perhaps the truth behind the current era.

Choose between Cain or Abelle to be the protagonist of your journey. They have differing personalities as well as differing dialogue at points. But their stories are the same, so choose who you prefer.

Utilize point and click functions to explore dungeons and study the environment. Seek treasures and interact with your allies to learn more about each other and your surroundings as you advance the story.

A colorful cast of townspeople await in the Town of Istina. Learn about their daily lives, as well as those of your allies, as you pass the times together. Gear up for your next dungeon, take quests, and wind down with amusing conversations and side events.

Engage in speedy turn-based battles against dangerous enemies utilizing various resources. Each character has a unique skill set with special interactions and conditional effects. Learn what each of your allies can do, Chain together Arts for big damage, upgrade your Arts with additional perks, and manage your resources in order to come out on top.

Your actions will decide the fates of these characters. Experience multiple endings depending on how you approach exploration and the story. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden events and interactions. They just may change the course of the narrative in unexpected ways.

    SER Patch 1.10

Ver 1.10 Patch NotesAdded a special 'Limiter Off' version of the main story final boss that can be encountered on subsequent NG+ playthroughs after fully clearing Lunar Mirror. This boss can only be encountered on Ending routes B, C, and E. This new version has stats comparable to the final boss of Lunar Mirror, as well as new skills, and a new music track. There is no Achievement tied to beating this boss, so fight it at your leisure.Added a toggle station at the last room in the final dungeon when Limiter Off conditions have been achieved. This way, players are not forever forced to fight the Limiter Off version of the final boss.Added new learnable perks for late game characters who previously had none. This is intended to help bring them in line with early game characters who have a variety of perks, and to allow players to patch up some flaws in their kits for a price. Originally, I had tuned these characters as if they were already 'maxed out', but I think I may have been a bit too modest with them still.Added new generic perks for all characters to learn on standard playthroughs and NG+. This isn't anything groundbreaking, but it gives players something to spend excess AP on once all the skills are learned. Each character has a different spread of percentages based on their core strengths.Changed the effect of Barrier Crystal I and II from 25/50% LF barrier to a flat 2500/5000 LF barrier. A stat bump was also added to the accessories themselves. This should make it more useful. At certain points, the main character became unintentionally able to be removed from the party. I added a few more checks across playthroughs to keep the MC lock in place.Reduced the blur effect in town.Removed the Delay effect from Taurus Fiamma's Power Strike skill and made it usable only at 50% LF and below.Reduced Taurus Fiamma's action rate. It will take double actions within a turn less frequently now.Fixed an issue where unintended scenes played during Ending F.Fixed some typos a...

    SER Patch 1.09

Ver 1.09 Patch NotesBosses can now gain a state called 'Delay Resist' when using skills like 'Empower', 'Greater Empower', and other buffing skills, which reduces the effectiveness of player inflicted Delay unless dispelled. The skill 'Ignition Burst' now properly consumes the 'Waymarker' state.Cleaned up the translation in the Arts Learning Menu and in State Tooltips in battle when the language is set to Japanese.A number of character tutorials didn't have their translations implemented. This is fixed.I intended to hold this one back until I got a few more things done, but I noticed in a Japanese LP that some tutorials were untranslated. So welp, had to fix that quickly. The rest will come at a later date, I suppose! I'm still waiting on a few things.

    SER Patch 1.08

Ver 1.08 Patch NotesThe Platinum Achievement 'True Master' should now be obtainable. If you have 32 achievements, try running the credits to the New Game Plus screen again to activate it.Rebalanced some late game boss skills.Swallowtail's Cooldown has been increased to 4 turns to match other delay skills.Swift Strike's delay now requires Blessing to be active on Kanna. This doesn't change much initially, but it makes reapplying Blessing more important later into longer fights when it falls off.The Arts 'Crimson Gram' and 'Great Earth Rage' can now combo into EX Arts. The 'Equippable' section at the bottom of the equipment menu has been removed. It really wasn't doing anything anyway. The Ranks of late game party members are now synced to MC's on NG+.

    SER Patch Ver 1.07

Ver 1.07 Patch Notes'Star Mark' is no longer consumed by EX Arts. Instead, it lasts for a number of turns. This should increase its range of utility.Adjusted the EX gain of Kanna's Arts. The skill 'Fortuitous Moment' now grants Kanna Blessing, in addition to a random ally. Acting as a cast of 'Blessed Seal' would.Adjusted various EX Arts so that it's easier to combo into EX Limits.Increased the cooldowns of most Delay skills by 1 turn.Fixed an issue where the final boss form 1's half LF event had an outdated trigger on it, preventing it from immediately triggering when it should on certain routes.Adjusted some Achievement Triggers.Fixed some typos. After testing a few playthroughs on Steam, I think the game is in a stable enough state at this point. There was one stubborn achievement that wasn't triggering, but I managed to get it to trigger. They all should be obtainable now, according to the achievement stats. My other concern was the viability of a certain endgame character in Lunar Mirror, as well as Kanna in general across a playthrough. So I made some minor adjustments. Kanna in particular had slow EX gain, which meant that while she was integral to keeping a party alive, she didn't get much EX for it. In addition, some changes to the timing of Limit gain during EX Arts should make comboing into EX Limits more consistent. With all this done, unless something truly earth shattering comes up, I intend to step back and let the game be for now.P.S.If you haven't written a review yet, I deeply implore that you do. We're still chasing that magical number of 10 customer reviews to get the ball rolling. We'd really, truly appreciate it.Thank you!
