About this game

Microwaves. Everyone has one. Most people use them to reheat sad leftovers. You are NOT most people. We want COMEDY, EXPLOSIONS, CHAOS, AND MAYHEM!

Your cozy little sandbox of a home is a fully operational microwave-powered business. Cook, Sell, and Pay your power bill before the lights go out and your empire collapses. It’s basic micro-nomics 💰

Get your greasy fingers on a Shrink Ray and suddenly, everything fits into your microwave 🤔 The bigger, the better, and probably more questionable.

🍤Just about anything is shrinkable! 🫡

Every empire is fragile. Spend too much on the wrong “ingredients,” and you might be watching your profits literally go up in smoke. Managing resources, buying wisely, and keeping a steady flow of income is the only way to stay in business. Some items will pay off big, others will blow up 💥 in your face! And not always figuratively!

Beware of the weapons lying around the house. They're not toys! 🤌🏾 Definitely don't microwave them!

Microwave Simulator: where cozy, creepy, and absurd collide. A true AAAAAAAAAA experience!😅

Devlog #2: The Sandbox Has Expanded

Development on the Microwave Simulator demo has moved forward in ways I only previously conceptualized. With great investment from Ultimate Games, I've been able to expand & enhance (😉) every system. The demo is now pretty much feature complete, with a few more polish items to finish, like your neighborhood NPCs and a bit more UI polish.Just about every system was rebuilt or heavily refactored based on feedback from Microwave Simulator’s initial test. I take pride in the work, as it took months to complete and bring all of these features together. Here's an extended look at Microwave Simulator.Interaction and Item PlacementThe interaction system has received a major usability pass. The large prompt that used to sit in the middle of the screen is gone. Interaction information is now placed where it belongs, making it easy to read without blocking your view.Interactable objects now highlight when you look at them. Placement has also been cleaned up and gives you much more control, with a ribbon showing the placement path and a distance readout showing exactly where the object will land. These changes apply across doors, packages, loose items, and the microwave. The result is a cleaner system that clearly communicates what you can interact with and where an item will be placed.Reticles and Player HUDDedicated reticles have been added for weapons. The pistol uses a three-point crosshair, while the shrink ray uses curved indicators designed around the way it functions. The HUD has been improved Health, Stamina, and Sanity are now tracked in the lower-left HUD. The weapon display shows the ammunition remaining in the current magazine or the shrink ray’s current charge. This pass adds the information around it. Holding the shrink ray builds charge toward maximum power, and the bar makes it clear when the ray has reached its fastest shrink speed.Growing ObjectsGrowing objects are a must-have! You can restore the size of items you shrunk or just have a little fun with it.Manual ...

Dev Log #1 – The World Is Taking Shape

The Microwave Simulator demo is under heavy development. We are now working with Ultimate Games S.A and the game has grown a lot because of it.Their support has allowed us to expand the scope, add more depth to the world, and push the game further than we originally planned. This dev log is a small look at the world that you will be playing in soon. ADD TO YOUR WISHLISTA First Look - Beauty and AbsurdityThe demo takes place in one part of the map, but it is built to feel alive. There is more beyond it, but this is where your experience begins.Just about everything is shrinkable, growable and microwaveable! We added the ability for the shrink ray to also grow items. This opens up a lot of new possibilities and means objects are no longer limited to just one scaling direction.Dynamic Time of DayTime of day changes how the world plays. We are building it so that it's not just visual. It affects what you can see, how the world moves, and how safe or unsafe things are in different moments of the day.At night, it is harder to see what is going on. Some situations become easier to miss. Some become easier to get away with.Dynamic WeatherWeather is fully dynamic. Clear skies can turn into something else fast. It changes how the world looks and feels while you play. This is just a small look at what is being built. There is a lot more coming. Bigger systems, more interactions, and more ways for things to change based on what you do.We will continue showing progress as development moves forward. If you are interested, wishlisting helps more than you think.WISHLIST NOW!
