Command firefighting vehicles and rescue civilians as a firefighter in wild blazes across the globe. Rescue Ops: Wildfire from Exkee combines simulation and strategy for an intense co-op or solo experience.
About this game

Step into the boots of a firefighter and battle raging wildfires around the world. Work solo or in co-op to rescue civilians, command vehicles, and outsmart dynamic, fast-spreading fires.
Climate change is making wildfires more extreme and more frequent in many parts of the world. Firefighters are always on the front lines helping communities. Experience the intensity of being a firefighter up close to the danger and face megafires in Rescue Ops: Wildfire, solo or in co-op.

You’ve been called to respond! Assess the situation and take to the skies in your helicopter. Once ready, head to the scene of the incident behind the wheel of your French wildland fire engine.
Your first priority? Rescue any civilians who may be trapped. Locate them, assess their injuries, and provide appropriate care before guiding them to safety. Get ready to battle the blaze like a boss! Hack through trees, wield your clearing tools, ignite tactical backfires, master your hose systems, and stay sharp on water levels to outmaneuver the flames!
Need help? Request tactical support! Call in water bomber planes, have a water supply delivered by helicopter, or request ground support with attack or defense lines.

Feel the heat! Quick reflexes and slick strategy are key to mastering the blaze and saving it all in two pulse-pounding game modes:
Put yourself in the shoes of a firefighter deployed for a fire season like no other. The immersive campaign mode will guide you through various missions, solo or in a squad of 2 to 4 players.
Organize your team in our sandbox mode. Use everything that you have learned. With random objectives and a dynamic fire simulation, every mission is unique. This time, you have to plan it all — each choice matters to minimize the damage.
No two fires are the same! Our dynamic fire system takes into consideration factors such as wind strength and direction. Each intervention will test your nerves and your ability to adapt. Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Fight to control massive wildfires, alone or with friends from around the world.
Face a dynamic, large scale fire system with realistic behavior, which can spread across vast hectares of terrain.
Manage your team to adopt the best strategy in two different modes: campaign and sandbox.
Operate a fleet of firefighting vehicles – take control of ground and aerial units, including fire engines and helicopters.
Call in tactical support to gain the upper hand: deploy water bombers, have a water supply delivered or ask for ground support to establish an attack or defense line.
Gear up with cutting-edge equipment, developed with the support and expertise of French firefighters.
Charge into maps inspired by the world’s wildest regions—each with unique terrain and challenges. Discover strategies specific to each region.

Rescue Ops: Wildfire - Dev Diary #13
Hello everyone!August means vacation time at Exkee. Most of our developers took the opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved time off. As a result, this Dev Diary is arriving a little later than usual and will be slightly shorter than our usual updates. But don't worry: you won't have to wait as long for the next one! September is shaping up to be a busy month, with plenty of work going into the preparation of our public demo, coming this October. On the art sideWe carried out an optimization pass on the project's textures.New decorative assets were created to further enrich our environments.Several art explorations were also conducted for potential new environments. On the development sideOn the development side, several features are continuing to take shape:Work on Focus Mode continued and is now finished. We started working on the players' ragdoll system, allowing characters to react to certain events. For example, when one player sprays another player with a jet of water!Work on the end-of-mission statistics screen is still ongoing. We also worked on the storage system to make interactions with multiple types of objects smoother, such as backpacks and handheld items. This also allowed us to fix the infamous bug that caused hoses to endlessly respawn in the hose carrier! As always, another debugging pass was carried out.On the sound design sideAudio work is also moving forward! New sounds have been created, while existing ones have been reworked and improved. Here is a look at some of the sounds that were created and/or reworked this month:Water-related sounds: hydroshield nozzle, differences between the various water jets, water flowing from the fire truck, and more.Fire truck sounds: a new take on the engine sound, siren tests, and sounds associated with the pump controls.Interaction sounds: UI sounds such as pressing a button in a menu, sounds for picking up and putting away objects with variations depending on the object, as well as sounds for dropping an object.Miss...Read full article on Community Announcements (Exkee_CM)AnnouncementsOfficial
Rescue Ops: Wildfire - Dev Diary #12
Hello everyone!July has been another incredibly busy month for the team, just like June. Following all the valuable feedback we received during the Alpha, we made the difficult decision to slightly delay our roadmap. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check out our updated roadmap in our previous post. Now, let's take a look at everything we've been working on this month alongside managing the Alpha. On the art sideThe port is almost complete! However, we've temporarily paused work on it to focus on improving the fire station because... let's be honest, it still felt a little empty despite our little improvements. To make it feel more alive before players head out on missions, we're adding a control room, additional office spaces, and a storage area. This also meant creating plenty of new props such as telephones, computer towers, keyboards, office furniture, and many other small details that help bring the station to life.Tada! Still WIP but that looks much betterWe've also continued polishing the Provence map based on Alpha feedback: floating objects, terrain issues, collision problems, and more.On the development sideAs mentioned previously, our private Alpha took place in July. Since then, we've spent a significant amount of time reviewing every piece of feedback and fixing many of the issues reported by our testers. We've also started migrating the project to Unreal Engine 5.8, allowing us to benefit from the latest engine improvements. Here are some of the features we're currently working on:Mission statistics: end-of-mission summary so you can review your performance and everything that happened during the mission.Mockup VS WIPSemi-rigid suction hoses: allowing you to pump water directly from retention basins and other water sources.Focus system improvements: making interactions smoother and more intuitive. As a reminder, the Focus System lets you zoom in on complex equipment, such as your fire truck's pump panel, making it much easier to operate.Controller sup...Read full article on Community Announcements (Exkee_CM)AnnouncementsOfficial
Updated roadmap & a word from the developers
Hello everyone.Today, we have an important update regarding the Rescue Ops roadmap. After many discussions within the team, we have made the difficult decision to move our upcoming milestones a little bit to give ourselves more time to work on the game and deliver the quality experience we have always envisioned. We know many of you have been patiently waiting for the next steps, and we are truly sorry for this delay. This was not an easy decision to make, but we believe it is the right one for Rescue Ops.Game development is a journey with many challenges and unexpected obstacles along the way. While we wish we could always stick perfectly to our initial plans, our priority remains creating a game we can be proud of and that you will enjoy playing. More development time means more time to polish features, improve the experience, fix issues, and bring you the best version possible.Another important factor behind this decision is the current release landscape. November is becoming an extremely busy month for games, with GTA 6. We have seen several studios adjust their own schedules because of this, and after careful consideration, we believe giving Rescue Ops more space is the best choice.Thank you so much for your patience, your support, and your trust throughout this journey. ❤️ Rescue Ops: Wildfire teamRead full article on Community Announcements (Exkee_CM)AnnouncementsOfficial
