About the Game

The Rewinder 2 is an action adventure game inspried by eastern methology. As the last known rewinder, you'll wield the powers of Sizhi god to explore disrrupted villages, dungeons and save people from their dreams.



Explore our unique memory levels and puzzles. As the last known rewinder, use your ability to explore others' memory. Bring them out of nightmares.



A unique set of dungeons are waiting for you to explore. Collect different charms to get various bonuses and special abilities.



Through out your journey, you will meet all sorts of monsters and ghosts, hear their stories and be friends with them.

  June Dev Update – The Rewinder 2

  The beginning of June was tough. A familiar environment changed unexpectedly, so I took a short break to reset—spent some time with family, went on a trip, watched a few films, and revisited some screenwriting books to clear my mind.Mid-month marked the official start of the Rewinder 2 remake.Most of this month was spent reworking the narrative and refining character development. On one hand, the story needs to integrate the newly added rewind dream levels. On the other, we're addressing some long-standing narrative structure issues:The Rewinder 2 has a large cast of NPCs, but many lacked depth, making it hard for players to feel invested in them or their stories.Key world-building elements were introduced too late in the plot, leading to a disjointed experience that felt like a deus ex machina.Some of these problems now have clear solutions; others still need time and iteration.The rest of June was spent drafting a new opening sequence and laying the groundwork for several ewind dream levels levels.This remake has turned out to be far more demanding than I initially expected. A book on screenwriting once said: After the darkest night of the soul comes the final battle. For me, finishing this remake is that battle. Whether the ending is happy or bittersweet, this story isn't over yet.Thank you to everyone who's shown us care and support.   An Update on Major Changes Coming to The Rewinder 2

  Hello everyone, I’m Xinyu, the producer of The Rewinder.After carefully reviewing the project, I’ve decided to implement major adjustments to The Rewinder 2 in the following areas:Redesigning the "Rewind" levelsRevamping village storiesAdjusting the narrativeReworking map designsImproving combat mechanicsEnhancing puzzle-solving and deduction elementsEnglish TranslationI hope to bring these changes to refine the overall gameplay experience.Given that the studio has disbanded and our funds are exhausted, this overhaul will require more time. However, I promise to complete all updates within six months. To keep players informed, we’ll release regular progress reports detailing the current status and completed tasks. I encourage everyone to follow our discord or social media—not only to stay updated but also to hold us accountable.Since we want to focus our efforts on polishing the game to its ideal state, The Rewinder 2 won’t receive major updates in the short term. However, we’ll continue fixing bugs and technical issues. I hope that after this large-scale update, The Rewinder 2 will finally meet everyone’s expectations.Lastly, I want to address the overwhelming response to my previous letter. I received many messages of support, encouragement, and constructive criticism. Many players even offered suggestions or expressed a desire to help the studio in various ways—thank you all so much for your kindness.That said, simply purchasing the game is already the greatest support you can give.
