  Jugs Bay UI Overhaul Update: Clearer, Cleaner, Easier to Play

  Hello everyone, Cass here!The Jugs Bay interface was something I was never fully happy with, but I just couldn’t find the right solutions at the time.Thanks to everything we learned while working on our game Tunturi Lumi, I finally had some fresh ideas. I put those ideas into Jugs Bay, and in my opinion the UI is now a lot clearer, cleaner, and more enjoyable to use.I’d really love to hear what you think!This update focuses purely on improving playability, visual clarity, and bringing more life to Jugs Bay. The juicier scenes will arrive in the next update, that one will take care of your desires much more. 😉 What's new in 1.4.0:Dialog New default "Cinematic" dialog style Clean movie-style subtitles with the speaker's name over the scene, and lines that fade in like in a film. Choice buttons got a fresh look too, all the same size and placed so they don't cover the scene. Prefer a classic text box? Different dialogue designs can still be picked in the settings.City Map Location cards are now larger images, and they clearly show who is there and what activity they're doing. Evenings now glow in warm sunset colors that fit the warm Jugs Bay vibe, and nights got a deeper, moodier look. Time Skip The time controls are now much easier to read at a glance: one clear "+1 Hour" button that even changes color with the time of day, and one button that always tells you exactly where it takes you, like "Advance to Evening". No more guessing what a skip does. HUD & Menus Money now uses thousand separators for better readability. The top menu was cleaned up into one tidy panel with little keyboard hints, and pop-up notifications got a complete makeover. They even switch to a fitting medieval style while you are in the Chronicles of Cassadria. Memories Gallery Locked scenes now show a clean centered lock instead of hiding it in a corner, and the unlock hints are much easier to read. Filtering by character got a nicer look as well.   Jugs Bay: Cabaret & Hugs 'n Kisses Update

  Jugs Bay Update v1.2.8 is Ready to Play!This update adds several new Cabaret shows you can attend by buying tickets, along with new slice-of-life interactions for Nora and Hitomi at their homes and workplaces once you’ve reached Lover status.The goal with this update was to add more depth to those relationships after the main endgame content and make that stage of the game feel more alive. We also made several under-the-hood improvements:Phone > Contacts has been overhauled to better reflect each romanceable character’s relationship status and presentation.The audio system has been reworked to behave more reliably across different Windows audio drivers, while also improving compatibility for Steam Deck / Proton players.The Quest Log now includes a memory guard to help prevent older quest hints from overwriting newer progress.Fixed a bug where typing in in-game name fields could trigger keyboard shortcuts instead of staying in the text field.Fixed quest markers on the map so objectives in sublocations can still show correctly on the main location.And if you’ve read this far, here’s a small sneak peek at what’s next: our upcoming game, Tunturi Lumi.We're actively developing our new game set around a cozy winter resort in Lapland, Finland.This time the game features: - Two playable main characters (female and male) - Multiple storylines - Several romanceable characters - A large cast of side characters to spend a good time with. - Fully voiced charactersGameplayNow, bare in mind that everything I'm going to show you is very much still a work in progress. None of this is final and it's all still subject to change.You already know that Tunturi Lumi is set in Lapland and that means plenty of snow and ice of course. For now here's a little test we did to make use of parallax displacement for use in a minigame.Just like with Jugs Bay we plan to have plenty of gameplay components...
