Command swarms of evolving bugs to devastate human worlds in Buggos 2. Strategize your way through this unique simulation where strength and speed are key to victory.
About this game
Buggos 2 is a swarm-based auto-battler where YOU play as the Evil Hivemind controlling the murderous bugs. Conquer the dirty Humans by sending wave after wave of Buggos - eventually all will crumble under your sheer biomass. Gain control of each planet and eradicate any Human presence along the way.

Buggos 2 is a low-micro RTS. This means controlling the swarm is easy. Just set the Attack Pins for your Spawners and watch as up to 5000 bugs destroy the disgusting Humans. This allows you to focus on the high level strategies and the fun parts of the game. If you are an RTS veteran, you still have access to control groups and chaining command pins for those who wish to take things more into their own hands.
Unlock evolutions after every battle and turn your Buggos into the perfect killing machines. If you need something stronger for the next missions, reset your evolution tree and try something new. Stay unpredictable and try new strategies by re-evolving the Buggos as you see fit.
Unlock powerful mutations to wreak havoc upon the battlefield after conquering an entire planet. Mutations are game changing evolutions that can redefine how a unit works or how you engage with the game.

Each mission is tailored to carnage and crafted with replayability in mind. Paint the map in Goo and living structures. Make use of terrain features and alternate routes to blindside the gross Humans in ways they least expect.
With half a dozen planets and over 30 missions between them, the possibilities to create a corpse playground are endless.

If you are an RTS veteran or Buggos enthusiast - you can crank up the difficulty! During your campaign progression you’ll be faced with tough choices on which ways the humans adapt to the growing threat. Buggos aren’t the only ones who evolve anymore.
Game Features:
Campaign with 45 missions over 9 planets.
Each map is hand-crafted to allow clever use of level geography and different unit combinations.
Over 150 evolutions and nearly 25 mutations to make your swarm stronger, providing countless play styles to experiment with.
Full level editor with Steam workshop support.
Hassle-free approach to RTS management. Let the bugs handle the details for you, all they need is a direction to march.
Difficulty is more than just a number. In higher difficulties each planetary conquest makes humans harder than the last, forcing you to choose how they punish your aggression.
The stars await their true masters. Conquer Buggos 2 today.

Multiplayer Update
Buggos 2 - Update 1.3.0 Multiplayer Buggos vs Buggos multiplayer is here. Up to 4 players fight it out over Steam, free-for-all or in teams. Host a lobby from the main menu, or join one from the lobby list or a Steam invite. Lobbies can be password protected. Before a match every player drafts their own evolutions and mutations from a point budget the host sets, then locks in. Two maps to start: Duel for 2 players and Crossroads for up to 4. Each player picks a color. Units, buildings and goo all take their owner's color so you can tell whose swarm is whose. Lose your last Hive and you're out, but you can keep watching with full vision until the match ends. When the match is over everyone lands back in the lobby, ready for a rematch. This is a first pass on multiplayer. Expect more maps and more support in the updates ahead, and if you hit problems or have ideas, let us know on the Discord. Gameplay updates Swarm Mother spawns will now rush towards units as well as buildings. Added a custom mouse cursor that should be easier to see. The evolution chamber camera can now be moved by holding right click. The level editor has a new mirror painting option (left/right or four-way) for building symmetric maps. Added a peek at our next game, Buggos: Death Squad, on the main menu. Balance Human Tank damage reduced from 30 to 25. Human Tank attack range reduced from 200 to 150. Human Tank speed reduced from 35 to 25. Bug fixes Fixed a bug where mind controlled units would take up supply for the humans.Read full article on Community Announcements (Intrepid Marmot)AnnouncementsOfficial
The Humans are fighting back - announcing Buggos: Death Squad
You have spent Buggos 2 as the Hivemind. Evolving the swarm, cracking Human colonies open, eating their worlds one dirty little settlement at a time. Buggos: Death Squad puts you on the other end of it. It is a 4-player co-op horde survival shooter with base building. Customize your loadout on the drop ship, land on a world the Buggos are already eating alive, and raise a fortress of turrets. Then hold it, while the swarm comes at you hundreds at a time and evolves every wave to counter whatever you just built. The swarm adapts to you Stay on top of the nests, watch for the attack waves, and understand that the Hivemind is upgrading itself specifically to beat your build. New species, growing evolutions, and boss Buggos will come for your base. You know exactly how this works. You have been on the winning side of it. Prepare for drop Pick your loadout on the ship before you land. Unlock new weapons, armor and modules as you clear challenges and push higher difficulties. Meta progression with a free respec, so you can specialise however you like - stack turrets and building health if you want to be the base builder, or go combat armor and health regen and head out to hunt artifacts yourself. Sockets and modules Every building, weapon and piece of armor has module sockets, and modules stack however you combine them. Give your guns split shot or chain lightning. Put a riposte module on a wall so it shoots back at whatever hits it, add teleport-on-hit, then make it explode when it finally dies. Mix and match freely - the daft combinations are the point. Coming January 2027 Wishlist Buggos: Death Squad on Steam Wishlists make a real difference for a studio this size, and it is the fastest way to hear about it the moment there is a demo to play.Read full article on Community Announcements (Intrepid Marmot)AnnouncementsOfficial
