Navigate through chaotic traffic jams in Going Loco, a fun, accessible puzzle game where strategy meets simulation. Created by David Addis, this casual VR experience challenges you to keep the streets moving with a unique low-poly aesthetic.

About this game

Armed with spare bits of road, railway, and anything else to hand, take on the role of a city planner as you repair the routes for vehicles on your charming, low-poly city map.

Your targets will travel at different speeds, and they may travel on custom routes, so you will need to get creative and build around their various requirements. You may need to block access one way in order to free up another, or send cars in a loop to let a bullet train pass through.

This charming puzzle game should be easy to learn, but hard to master in order to attain all the 3-star scores. Can you perfect every level?

    Small leaderboard fix!

I've just pushed a new update live which will fix a bug related to Leaderboards. Essentially, one, or a few, or perhaps many, players without Display Names had posted scores to the leaderboard, which made it fail for everyone. It's not their fault - it's simply that the code had never intended to deal with it. Now these 'nameless' players will appear as anonymous in the leaderboards, and they will display properly. Enjoy! The Big Pre-Christmas Update!

Greetings, fellow town planners! I've just made a big update to Going Loco. It was mostly for the Meta competition, but good news: the Steam build gets all the good stuff too!Main new features:New environment: you're now placed in a stylish virtual apartment, with idyllic views out of the window, and a dynamic table which the Tiles sit on. It resizes to match the level, but you can still place Tiles anywhere. Leaderboards on the main menu: you can now check the latest scores for all 50 official levels straight from the menu, no need to finish a level first! Fun with flags! Add a flag to your leaderboard name. There are lots to choose from! Don't worry, all your previous scores will be updated with your new flag (and will be, every time you change it). Wind and dust effects: there are wind trails are some dust motes floating around. Of course, they slow down as the gameplay does too! A quick word about hand-tracking. Please consider this feature in beta. I've technically enabled it for the Steam build, but it's difficult to test OpenXR hand-tracking - I don't actually have a device that supports OpenXR and hand-tracking and isn't a Quest. If you have such a device, let me hear your feedback!Enjoy, and see you on the leaderboard!

    Creator Mode, Leaderboards, Bugfix Update!

Hello Town Planners! Now that Creator Mode and Leaderboards have been out for a couple of weeks, I've ironed out the bugs and they are both ready for public consumption! The game has generally had a few fixes here and there, and it's in good shape to create your own levels, upload them, and share them with the world now. And every Custom Level will automatically get its own Leaderboard - so you can track who plays it and chooses to upload their score. I look forward to seeing any and all creations you make in Going Loco! David

    Leaderboards Update!

Greetings, fellow Town Planners! I've just dropped a cross-platform Leaderboard update. Now players on both Steam and Quest can compete for the best scores! It's opt-in, so you'll be asked if you want to upload scores the next time you finish a level. If you change your mind later, you can find the setting in the Options Menu. And, bonus: leaderboards will automatically work on any and all Custom Levels that are uploaded to mod.io, too! So you can set a challenge for your friends (and the world) and see who's the fastest! Creator Mode Preview!

Hello Town Planners, I've just pushed a build with the first preview of Creator Mode. This allows you to create your own levels, edit them later and share them online with other players! The system is powered by mod.io, so you can also browse all the levels on the web on their site. It's early days so I expect the UI will need some more work, and a few bugs will come out of the woodwork during playtesting. If you have some feedback, please let me know at gamedev@davidaddis.com. But for now, please make some levels and have fun! David
