Embark on chaotic adventures as a goblin gladiator, battling junkbots and delighting the crowd in Ash & Adam's Games' 2024 mini-FPS roguelite.
About this game
Gobsmacked is about riding a wave of chaos as you smash, tear, & shoot your way through waves of procedurally generated gladiator arenas, performing for adoring fans. It's the fast-paced mini-FPS roguelite you’ve always dreamed of getting your gobliny claws on.
You are a furry, frenetic, sensationally stylish goblin.
Spend your cash on permanent gear you can equip at the start of a run, or arena upgrades to make the run you're on easier. Will you upgrade your flamethrower to bounce off walls or upgrade your melee attacks to explode on impact?
Grapple, glide, double-jump, climb & stomp your way to victory. Gobsmacked is all about momentum and verticality.
Put on a show to entertain the crowds; they determine your rewards.

Gobsmacked is fully physically simulated. You can snatch, throw, kick and gleefully wreck almost anything you can see.

Our whole thing is "small, delightful, obnoxious games sold for the same price as a beer during happy hour". We don't put this on sale. It's a low sale-ish price, all the time. Pick it up if you think it looks cool!

Price reduction: Ash & Adam's GOBSMACKED is now $5 FOREVER
Hey Goblins, Today is the anniversary of the start of our collaboration and we wanted to mark the day with a special announcement that we’re both very excited about: we’re permanently dropping the price of Gobsmacked to $5. It won’t go on sale again. The price is $5, always and forever. Here's a video about it. Or just keep reading. Such options! This is the result of a change in our thinking about how we price our games writ large. There are very smart people out there with very well-reasoned ideas about how to make money in games. About how to capture and keep players’ attention. About how to A/B the perfect marketing message. About how to design mechanics themselves that produce profitable outcomes. But that’s not us. And many of those people might say we’re idiots for not doing that stuff. Okay, fine, we’re idiots. But neither of us want to spend any of the sand in our mortal hourglasses scheming how we can make the maximum amount of money from you all. It feels like such a poor use of precious time to us. We want to spend our time making small, expressive, colorful, obnoxious games whose primary purpose is to DELIGHT, and we want to think about the price of them so they’re affordable to most everyone. So, moving forward, our games are going to be priced like beers during happy hour. Or a fancy coffee, if that’s more your vibe. That’s the high level concept. We’re going to make games that are priced like drinks you’d buy for a pal. So Gobsmacked is now $5. And Existential Treads - the game we’re working on now - will be priced similarly. If this sounds cool to you, high five. Tell your friends. If you grab the game and you dig it, mega huge thanks for leaving a review. We, like everyone who makes stuff in this day and age, exist at the mercy of algorithms and positive reviews are the best way for Steam to start boosting us. Or if you just want to quietly enjoy what we make, that’s fine too. We’re happy we got to add something to your life. Whatever the case, tha...Read full article on Community Announcements (Ash and Adam's Games)Patch NotesOfficial

GOBSMACKED is Here!
Hey Goblins, Today GOBSMACKED is moving from Early Access to 1.0. We've spent the last few months in EA refining almost every part of the game, listening to player feedback in our Discord and adding a brand new game mode: The Gauntlet. The Gauntlet is part of the underground Gob-scene where you don't use currency to upgrade gear but the pace is much higher. Maximizing your reputation is the ultimate goal. The Gauntlet is available after you've achieved victory in The Arenas. As we fully release the game today, we'd like to send extra thanks & hugs to everyone that helps us make Gobsmacked. Our collaborators, playtesters and players who've joined the Discord to share their thoughts and kind words about the game. We hope you have as much fun playing GOBSMACKED as we had making this little game.Read full article on Community Announcements (demontjie)Patch NotesOfficial
