Embark on an 8-bit styled dungeon-crawler adventure as Scarmonde challenges you to assemble diverse classes and brave the perilous depths in search of treasures.
About this game

The God of Dragons beckons you to Scarmonde.
Gather your most trusted and skilled companions, then brave The Depths to locate each of the Dragon God's Sacred Treasures. Legends say paradise awaits the one who gathers all three, but will you and your band of adventurers be the first to have their wildest dreams become their new reality?

Before departing into The Depths below Scarmonde, you're tasked with assigning each of your nameless companions a Class. There are 12 Classes to choose from, all designed after the classic Knights, Clerics, and Thieves we all know and love.
The Classes you'll be able to mix-and-match to forge your ultimate team of adventurers is as follows:
The Knight.
The Warrior.
The Cleric.
The Mage.
The Thief.
The Monk.
The Paladin.
The Hunter.
The Sage.
The Duskar.
The Bard.
The Dancer.
In this retro-styled RPG adventure, you're immediately thrust into the world and made to fight for your lives! Although the graphics may say otherwise, there's many modern conveniences to aid you on the journey to acquiring all the Sacred Treasures.
This game is being made for anyone who just wants to jump right into a classical RPG experience without any of the thick layers of story and dialogue bogging them down. If you're here, you're here for the gameplay!

September 2025 Update
Made several small (and one greatly requested) updates! Aside from addressing minor collision issues, missing pieces of info from several equipment descriptions, and resistance oversights on early-game enemies... The player(s) (YOU) can now adjust the game's Battle Speed! It's right there in the Options menu for you to access from the very beginning! This should make repeat playthroughs far more enjoyable, and is otherwise there for everyone to make use of if it's something they want to utilize!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ephiam Oricuna)Patch NotesOfficial

April Hotfix
Hey, folks! I have to push out a small update this morning to address some newly-discovered oversights! -Added an NPC to warn players of entering The Random. -Orbs acquired from the random chests can no longer be "0," the lowest number you can acquire is now 1. -A small oversight on one of the first 5 floors made it possible for players to potentially end up with a black screen. This has been fixed. -A mapping error could have POTENTIALLY blocked progress on one of the floors in The Random. Thanks for the support, everyone!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ephiam Oricuna)Patch NotesOfficial
April 2025 Update: Introducing the RANDOM DUNGEON!
It’s time for another update! This time, though, there’s a little bit extra thrown in for fun. Introducing Scarmonde’s “RANDOM DUNGEON”! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44829566/7820a36517d0d322c0549cee0d262b6a2e11f650.png What IS the “Random Dungeon”? You, the player, can assemble your party however you see fit, then equip them with some basic gear in Scarmonde. HOWEVER! Now you’ll notice that there’s a new addition to the cozy l’il town: a door just east of the Inn! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44829566/d1fb8c2484003a027d9b69eb15e13ec4ed0c8c83.png TO ACCESS THIS NEW DUNGEON: you CANNOT have set foot within The Depths. That means you CANNOT descend the stairs in the center of Scarmonde. If you do so, you’ll be locked out of entering the Random Dungeon. You must start a new file to access this additional area! Everything within the Random Dungeon is… randomized! Players will traverse between five pre-made but randomly selected floors in each “zone/area” before facing a boss and moving onto the next. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44829566/27d461be1df5f93d3d34f8e1c2a077aa02f54d34.png The exit for each floor is a blue orb, and its location can change just like everything else! To proceed you’ll need to locate that orb and interact with it. You’ll ONLY BE ABLE TO SAVE after changing floors. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44829566/8befc7ae3c7293dba8da102bb288e867018cfecf.png The contents of the chests are (you guessed it) also randomized! Chests all look the same, but depending on how lucky (…or unlucky) you are, can grant you: Magic Orbs, Items, Armour, or Weapons. Many of you will also be VERY pleased to know that any and all debuffs or ailments you inflict onto enemies will be now visible in battle! So instead of showing an animation (which still plays over character battlers), an icon will be displayed over an enemy’s head indicating what they’re afflicted with (and will cycle between all afflictions). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44829566/3156df2e8a80e1ad8c90c93bef7dafb7c8f0f4d3.png Have fun, everyone!! Minor Update (March 3rd, 2025)
Made some minor adjustments to the game today! There were a few passability issues that were addressed, along with some mapping errors, but the MAJOR thing I had to look into and fix was some counterattacks causing errors. This should hopefully now be patched! Thanks for playing, everyone!Read full article on Community Announcements (Ephiam Oricuna)
