Just a quick patch for the most recent build. Decided to go ahead and send this stuff out since it was already done. Patch Notes: Decrease the min sensitivity range. Cow death sounds now play 50% of the time to make them less repetitive. Fixed cows not being able to spawn in the barn. Cows now don't get stuck in the garage in Belgrade. Added sounds for picking up items. Added a link to the discord on the main menu.Read full article on Community Announcements (TaterTLK)AnnouncementsOfficial
Build 2.1.0 is out now
In this patch, I prioritized polishing Milkman Mayhem with new visual effects, audio effects, and gameplay features which I think greatly improve the state of the game. I wasn't disappointed with the game I've made, but I wasn't comfortable moving forward without completing the LONG list of improvements that I've accumulated over the past year or so. This took far far longer than I anticipated (as game development tends to be) so I apologize for that. But anyway... Here's what I completed from that list: New Features Controller support. I'd recommend an Xbox controller simply because that's what I used to implement it. But it should still work with any other controller. Added a personal leaderboard which shows the player's highest round, most points, and most milk. This can be accessed in the pause menu. The game now keeps track of how many tapes (games) the player has fully completed on the home screen. Just for fun I guess IDK. Lots of new settings in the settings tab. I also moved the control mapping here. The settings tab can now be accessed in the main menu as well. Updated Cow Combat(™) Extra blood particles and blood splatter sound when cows are dead. The cow ragdoll now flies back when killed. The force of which changes based on the method used to kill the dang thang. New Audio Effects Reverb zones which change depending on the map location. New ambience audio for the Belgrade map. Bullet impact sounds onto enemies and other objects. Cows now have crunch sounds when attacking a barrier. New milk pickup sounds. Many sounds now slightly randomize their pitch. This should help keep them from sounding too repetitive. New Visual Effects and Changes (yet again) Updated the in-game cursor. Updated lots of UI stuffs. Added animated CRT visual effects like scanlines and distortions. Tweaked the post processing a tad Changed the screen resolution, screen curves effects, and all that jazz. Now things will be a lot less distorted. Decreased the pixelation amount as it m...Read full article on Community Announcements (TaterTLK)Patch NotesOfficial

Build 2.0 is out NOW!
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44829703/cba8e25822b4234697ce6498fc4d9e51ea7a2ad6.png That's right, it's finally out! Last post I promised to release build 2 by the end of summer. Obviously, I missed it by a couple weeks and that's my fault. Everything that I mentioned in the last post has been added along with a few minor things that I likely forgot to write down. The biggest that I want to reiterate are... New map BOSS FIGHT! (which is found in the new map) New weapons and upgrade Cassette recordings that lay down the foundation for the lore Lots of polishing and bug fixes "Ermm... I liked the old version better..." If by chance you want to revisit the older version of Milkman Mayhem, I'm keeping that version of the game available to download. You can find it under the Betas tab in the Milkman Mayhem settings on steam. What's next? I still want to make even bigger updates for Milkman. However, I've honestly had a bit of fatigue for this game and will probably take an extended break from it. Updates for bugs and polishing will likely still happen when needed, but at far as major game content goes, I need to take a step back from it. Let me know how smoothly the update is for you all! That's all for now. -TaterRead full article on Community Announcements (TaterTLK)AnnouncementsOfficial
Build 2.0 is almost here!
WOAH Something new! Howdy. I Hope you milkmen and milkwoman are doing alright. I know it’s been a while since I’ve released an update for Milkman Mayhem. I've been busy with the whole life stuff (finishing college, finding a proper job, relationship junk, a general fatigue for programming cows, and lots of other stuff). However, in the past few months that I have gotten energy to work on it, I’ve made lots of progress. The video below is the trailer for the first major and FREE update titled ‘Burned Bridges’ which you can also find on my YouTube channel. After that is a list of everything I’ve accomplished. Everything that I remembered to write down, anyway. So what’s gonna be in the update? In short, there’s gonna be a bunch of new gameplay stuff like weapons, upgrades, a map, boss fight, and a few more things. That and a LOT of bug fixes and tweaking to make the game less… dumb and ugly. Here’s the current comprehensive list if you’re interested. Additions MAP: Belgrade, a small town in rural Montana WEAPONS: Molotov cocktails, grease gun, lever action shotgun UPGRADES: Firefighter pants which negates fire damage, chocolate straws which heals the player whenever they pick up milk LORE: The first set cassette tapes can be found around the game which give hints towards Bobo's Bovine Company MUSIC BANK SYSTEM: The player can deposit points at the bank which they can later withdraw in future games. STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS BOSS BATTLE Bug Fixes/Tweaks Scroll wheel can be used to select weapons (WOOHOO!). I had to pretty much recode how the inventory system worked but it was worth it. Minor UI changes. Music now fades out when going to and from the shop. Fix blood particles with blaster bullets. Fix a few sounds that don’t change when max volume is changed. Instantiate some sound effects individually as game objects. This means that some sounds, like gunshots, can be played over each other and don’t get cut off when the same sound is played or when the object is removed. Fix...Read full article on Community Announcements (TaterTLK)
