Eggs: perfection in two parts. The simple whites. The sublime yolk. Each the lesser without its partner. Chorus and verse. A symphony of flavor. The catchy tune reminding us of warm baths and late-night movies. The elevator music to whatever lies beyond.

About this game

Cooked on both sides. As always
Embrace the truth in Arctic Eggs, or the Tale of the Modern Odysseus. Slip into the boots of a humble Poultry Peddler, stripped of rank for crimes forgotten. Pan in hand, set forth and feed the hungry inhabitants of this humble habitat. It’s all in the wrist.

What are fish but eggs with extra steps? What is bacon but pigs without the fluff? How long should one cook a cigarette? Such questions have plagued poets and kings since man claimed fire. Perhaps in your journey you’ll find the answers. Or like, at least the answers for YOU, dude. That’s what matters most.
TOUCH LIVES
Everyone has a story. All you have to do is listen. Or don’t. You can just click real fast to get to the cooking parts. It’s not like we’re watching you. YOU bought the game. You can play it now YOU want. I mean, who am I to tell you what to do? Not really my vibe.
REALISTIC PHYSICS
The game isn’t hard. Cooking is.
Can you cook an egg on top of Mount Everest? I am not sure. But perhaps that’s irrelevant.

The new game I’m making has a demo!
HeyIf you're here, you probably still have Arctic Eggs somewhere in your heart. (Or in your stomach, depending on how you look at things) Thank you for that! I wanted to let you know that the demo for my next game - About Fishing - is out right now on Steam. Give it a go! It's a fishing mystery game. You cast a line into calm water and occasionally pull up fish or things that were never meant to be found. Physics-based casting, a story that gets strange, and some Arctic Eggs easter eggs hiding in there. This demo drop comes with a bit of a celebration too. About Fishing just crossed 100k wishlists, and I'm still a little shocked thinking about it a whole weekend later. If you're curious what's in the demo, check out this post: Goodbye and I still love you- Kevin (The Water Museum)Read full article on Community Announcements (kevin.brown)AnnouncementsOfficial
2 years of Arctic Eggs
Hey!You know what day it is. Exactly two years ago Arctic Eggs gave you a frying pan and said “satiate”. Damn, can’t believe it’s been this long! Arctic Eggs took just under half a year to make, and here we’re celebrating the passing of four times as much time. Was the game about the drive to become the best cook this polar cap of the Earth? Obsession with frying an egg on top of Mount Everest? Commentary on future food habits? To preserve the cold air of mystery, I won’t be answering that. Instead let’s see what you have to say about the game’s themes. To be completely open and honest, it freaks me out that it has already been two years. The day the game released it was around 12pm, I went on my lunch break for work, opened up the steam app to hit release, and then went right back to working.I remember how unceremonious It all felt, so once again I want to thank everyone who saw it and made it special, because at the time I really had no idea if anyone would care at all. In any case, thank you for following me on this journey. And making it possible in the first place. Cracking the Fangamer Merch This time around we actually have something for you to celebrate your dedication to Arctic Eggs with! We’ve collabed with Fangamer to bring you some sweet Arctic Eggs Merch. Fish And Cigarettes
Hey! Thank you for still having Arctic Eggs deep in your hearts. But, we both know it wasn't the eggs that kept you coming back. It was the cigarettes. I just wanted to drop by and let you know that there was a big update to my next games playtest, and cigarettes have been added. I am not sure what their purpose is yet. Originally I was going to just drop that news here and leave, but figured it'd be wise to give some more context.About Fishing - Playtest 2.0 is live right nowIt's a mystery fishing game where you cast your line into calm water and occasionally pull up things that were never meant to be found. Think Shenmue meets Sega Bass Fishing, with a female protagonist in a yellow raincoat. The first playtest had over 25,000 of you show up. 96.5% rated it positive. What's new in Playtest 2.0?The biggest change is casting. It's more physics-based now - rebuilt completely. The feedback from the first playtest kept circling back to the line physics. Lots of people praised the way you could interact with the Trout puzzle, and that helped me realize I was leaving so many opportunities on the table. So I rebuilt it from the ground up.The line doesn't just go where you point it. It flies. There's something between physics and chaos happening when you cast, and that's exactly where I wanted to end up. Your approach to each spot really matters now, helping the worlds actual geometry feel important.Beyond that:New areas to fishMoving objects underwaterThe shop is inMore story - including the area near the churchA mausoleum puzzle How to get in?Head to the About Fishing Steam page, click Request Access on the playtest, and you're in immediately - no waiting, no queue. If this sounds like your kind of thing, wishlist it while you're there. It helps more than you know.Stay hooked. ~ Kevin (The Water Museum)Read full article on Community Announcements (kevin.brown)AnnouncementsOfficial
New Vinyl Run
Hey! Lots of people were upset that they missed out on the last run of the Vinyl's so the lovely people at Lost in Cult and Stumpy Frog Records pressed another batch! You can buy them at either store front! This shit is pretty expensive (honestly a lot pricier than our little game justifies) so it's again a pretty limited run, 100 egg face, 300 egg splatter. If you miss out on these don't worry I am sure there will be more in the future, they love making them and I love supporting my good friend Cameron Ginex, the incredible composer of this game. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Again I appreciate your continued support on this gameRead full article on Community Announcements (kevin.brown)AnnouncementsOfficial
A Game About Fishing
Hi everyone, I just wanted to drop by with a small update: I’ve been working on a new game for a while now, and I am finally able to talk about it! It’s called About Fishing, and it’s a game about fishing. Give it a Wishlist if it looks like something you'd be interested in! There is also a playtest live right now that you can check out here as well: It’s a short slice (15-20 minutes), but enough to get a feel for what I’ve been up to. Thanks again for all the love for Arctic Eggs. Because of your support I have been given the freedom to continue to creating games about whatever I personally find interesting, which I couldn't be more thankful for. I won't let you down, and thank you again! - Kevin (The Water Museum) SteamRead full article on Community Announcements (kevin.brown)
