About this game
Outer Storms is a 3D survival and exploration game with a top-down view in which you play as a Kerrien. After a long space journey, your capsule crashes on an unknown planet where you must survive. You will need to gather resources and accumulate energy to upgrade your equipment and defend against the alien infection spreading across the universe.
Terraforming
Dynamic terraforming: The terrain reacts to energy and changes in real time around you.
Strategic terrain modifications: Transforming the ground generates plants that improve survival conditions and create safer zones.
Weakening of the infection: Terraforming helps push back the infection and makes certain areas safer for exploration.
Resource Management
Mining: Collect minerals to produce Kyrrite, a vital material for upgrading your capsule and exploration abilities.
Capsule upgrade: Use Kyrrite to upgrade your capsule into a highly sophisticated turret to reinforce your defense.
Resource management: Be mobile, as resources deplete and are necessary to maintain your equipment.
Mutations
Alien DNA exploitation: Collect DNA and create temporary but powerful mutations.
Infection: Learn to control the minds of aliens to make the most of difficult situations.
Survival, Exploration, and Colonization
Survival: Protect yourself from aliens attracted by your energy and adapt to the planet's extreme weather conditions.
Exploration: Venture into unexplored territories, unlock new zones, and discover ancient technologies.
Energy management: Harvest resources to accumulate energy and increase the power of your capsule.
Colonization: Terraform the land to rebuild your civilization.
Day/night cycle: Adapt your actions based on the light level; the environment and aliens are sensitive to it.

Outer Storms at the Steam Next Fest (postponed)
Hello everyone, First of all, thank you so much for adding Outer Storms to your wishlist. Your support means a lot to me! I’m sorry to announce that I have to postpone Outer Storms' participation in the Steam Next Fest for February 2025. After careful consideration, I’ve realized that there isn’t enough time left to deliver a demo that meets the quality I’m aiming for. Instead of rushing, I’ve decided to take a bit more time to refine Outer Storms. My goal is to provide you with an experience that meets your expectations, and this will require additional adjustments in various areas of the game. I’m still excited and fully committed to the development of the game, and I’m confident that this extra time will be well worth it. Outer Storms at the Steam Next Fest
Hello everyone, I’m excited to announce that Outer Storms will be participating in the Steam Next Fest in February 2025! This is the perfect opportunity to give you a first look at the game and immerse you in its unique universe. Right now, I’m focusing on two key aspects of the game: the energy system and terrain terraforming. Energy management is at the heart of the experience, influencing your actions and strategies. As for terraforming, it will allow you to colonize environments, whether by carefully cleansing them or annihilating everything with force. These elements will be featured in the demo, so you can explore how they work and how they impact gameplay. I’m also working on the visual and sound aspects to enhance the immersion and ensure every detail contributes to the game’s atmosphere.
