About this game

Action-packed top down shooter gameplay in a 3D physics environment!

  • Challenge your friends to a split screen gunplay duel (up to four players). Last man standing wins.
  • Or fight against robot AI enemies in single player or split screen co-op (up to four players).

Key features:

  • 28 weapon modes, each bringing different tactical mechanics.
  • Hold two weapons at any one time. Learn to combine them effectively.
  • Destroy robot spawners in room to room arena challenge combat.
  • Varied enemy types and AI keeps up the challenge. Each enemy uses different weapons and tactics.
  • 5 difficulty settings making the game accessible for all skill levels. Also adapts to the number of players.
  • 25 varied arenas, many featuring randomized features and layouts (hundreds of variations ensuring replayability).
  • Interactive environmental elements such as hoverboards, cannons, player flashlights, bounce pads, pushable spiked walls, elevators, exploding barrels, destructible walls / floors and more.
  • Strong, immersive sound effects.
  • Varied boss battles.

Unique features:

  • In both game modes, players who die are automatically respawned as a turret, allowing them to continue taking part in the action.
  • Dead players in co-op mode are fully revived if one surviving player unlocks the next arena room. Keeps all players in the fight.
  • Over two hours worth of original music (combining, rock, metal, industrial, electronica, drum and bass, and dark ambience)
  • Retro visual style prioritizes clarity during gameplay rather than visually overloading the player.
  • Co-op players touch each other to pool and share their combined health.
  • Unique cross-fire mechanic. Co-op players can cross their laser sights to inflict explosion damage on enemies.

    Update V 1.9.2 - Gameplay Enhancements +

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44831347/451d754f71c1848db5d8dc06b11dc37ac9201063.png Lots of new features for this update. BOTS & SPAWNERS HAVE HEALTH BARS Players can now see how much damage a bot has taken and how much health it has left. CUSTOMIZABLE CHARACTER COLOUR 12 colours to choose from. Player health bars, dead player ragdolls and player spawnable turrets will match the selected colour. IMPROVED BOT SPAWNER DEFENSES Bot Spawners will now detect if a player is in close range and emit a plasma shock wave to damage and repel the player. These shockwaves can also damage nearby bots, allowing the player to trigger them tactically. Frequency of shockwaves adjusts to player difficulty level. Shockwave graphic and sound effect added. Spawner defensive guns will now only rotate to face player if the spawner has recently taken significant damage. Use tactical retreats to trick spawners into switching off their targeting system. PRIMARY PLAYER TURRETS HAVE A.I. Player spawned turrets now act independently, targeting and shooting enemies in range (including vertically for taking down flying enemies or enemies on higher or lower platforms). These are now now a powerful weapon. In PvP mode they target all players other than the player who spawned it. DEAD PLAYERS SPAWN A TURRET Brought back this feature from early in the game development, but updated. If a player dies and other players are doing battle the dead player ragdoll will spawn a turret. In PvP mode this turret will target all remaining players, becoming an additional hazard in their battle. In PvBots mode the spawned turret will assist the remaining players by targeting bots. SECONDARY PLAYER TURRETS IMPROVED The alternate player turrets (launched in Aim Mode then dragged by the player for aiming) now have a wider spread of bullets, making them much more useful in combat. They now also auto detect whether the player has moved into position to take control of their movement, generating a harness around the player, plus red...

    V 1.9.1 – Better graphics and gameplay mechanics +

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44831347/52b32344cc7932b4709c7eef8589d6da62d11892.png IMPROVED PLAYER CONTROLS Right stick no longer contributes to movement speed (Makes aiming easier when not in Aim Mode). Changes to button controls allow for easier use of Aim Mode, toggling of camera distance and player dash move. Updated player controls image in menus. DASH & BASH The player’s dash move will now cause explosion damage to enemies on impact, with a small amount of damage sometimes taken by the player. Useful if low on ammunition. Doesn’t damage other players during Co-op mode. AIM VIEW CAMERA IMPROVEMENT When the player enters Aim Mode the camera will offset itself from the player’s position to show a further range of the terrain ahead of them, but also reduces view of what is behind the player. The offset cancels itself if the player is close to a wall or other obstruction (prevents the camera moving outside of the arena walls). The distance of the offset also adjusts according to the camera’s height from the player (zoom your camera out to get the furthest view of the terrain). PICK UP INDICATORS Collecting a weapon, health boost or ammunition now triggers a brief graphical display that floats up from the player’s position, indicating what item has just been collected. Player health share in Co-op mode also triggers this display. GUIDED ROCKETS Player can use the right stick to curve the flight of a rocket immediately after firing. Use it to guide rockets around corners and obstacles. Only works in Aim Mode. HOVERBOARD IMPROVEMENT Hoverboards are now easier to get into and less likely to throw the player off when moving at high speeds or over ramps. Improved the model and textures of the hoverboards. IMPROVED VISUAL EFFECTS Significant improvements to visual effects for wall penetrator bullet impacts, flame thrower fire and all explosions. BETTER TEXTURES Many textures for enemies and environments have been changed to include “normal maps”. These maps alter the calculation of...

    V 1.9 - Enemy Variants +

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44831347/6a01848379b6a87aa2f569bf232ef1a39487f962.png ENEMY VARIANT RANDOMIZATION Most enemies (including some bosses) can now generate at least a half dozen variants, randomizing visual appearance and / or combat abilities. These include variations on: Physical size Health amount Number and types of weapon Combat range 3D model design Model textures Speed Jump height Other combat A.I. variants The full range of these variants is too much to list here. Play the game and you'll encounter over 100 variants. OTHER CHANGES INCLUDE: Players now have a directional arrow attached to them for clarity, this helps with aiming and identifying other players. Can be toggled on and off with the flashlight in dark arenas, so as not to interfere with stealth combat. Full redesign of Drone 1 enemy, including new animations. Graphical overhaul of explosion effects and rocket launcher smoke trail. Fireballs now bounce up to three times, making them more useful in combat. Fireballs now reduce player ammo more, given they are more powerful. Wall penetrator bullets now also damage bot spawners. Improvements to environmental graphics in Bot Arenas 3, 4 & 5. The pistol bullet, when fired in aim mode, now shoots a remote control bullet, which the player can control with the right stick to shoot around corners. Graphical improvement to the doors separating rooms in Bot Arenas. Lots of new textures added to the robot variants. Player 2 ragdoll physics bug fixed.

    V 1.8 - BOSS BATTLES plus - Part one

BOSS BATTLES This updates adds a unique boss battle to each of the first four Bot Arenas (more boss battles will be added in future updates). Each of the first four arenas now has an additional room added to its ending, where the new bosses can be fought. These bosses have multiple independently animated body parts and multiple modes of attack. BOT SPAWNERS HAVE DEFENCES Bot Spawners were previously too easy to destroy, so now they have a chance to spawn with their own rotating gun and defense shields. The guns can have up to two fire modes (one for close defending and one for distant) and the shields can spawn in different orientations. Bot Spawners will remain defenseless in beginner mode, while the chance and power of defences spawning increases with higher game difficulties. PLAYER HEALTH REGENERATION A major problem with gameplay flow was that when the player had very low health they would have to wander the edges of the arena (sometimes for several minutes) hoping to find a medikit thrown by the crowd before bots had a chance to kill them. All players now have automatic health regeneration, which only kicks in when the player hasn’t taken damage for a certain amount of time (between 4 and 12 seconds, depending on gameplay difficulty level). The speed of health generation is also affected by game difficulty level. This mechanic also reduces the overall game difficulty, as I’d previously had reports of the game difficulty being too high even on the lower difficulties. PLAYER CAMERA IMPROVEMENT The player camera now has a third height position, allowing for a much closer view of the player and close enemies (good for short distance weapons like swords, flamethrowers and shotguns). Player still toggles between these camera heights using the upper D-pad button. PLAYER APPEARANCE Have darkened the player colours and made their material less shiny. Was looking too plastic previously. BUG FIXES After playing a PvP arena, then returning to main menu, the next PvP game ...
