About this game

A challenging survival RTS roguelite about surviving against thousands of enemies. Start each run with the hopes of going as deep as you can. Customize your army with different weapons, armour and upgrades. When you inevitably fail, use the knowledge gained to make your next attempts stronger through meta progression upgrades.

Hold your ground

Once you start fueling your drill, a massive swarm of monsters will attack you. Setup defensive barricades and choke points to survive.

Expand your Base

Clear out and expand into as much of the darkness as you can. The more resources you control, the more powerful you can become. Your goal is to collect as much Radium to fuel your drill as you can. The more you collect, the deeper you can go.

Customize your units and buildings

After every level, all units and buildings can be customized with different weapons, armour and upgrades. The better you do in each mission, the more currency you have to craft new equipment.

Meta Progression

Defeat is inevitable, but after each loss unlock powerful meta progression to become stronger. The further down you go, the more meta progression you will get, and the more powerful you can become!

Drill ever deeper into the unknown!

As you descend you will face increasingly more powerful enemies. Do you have what it takes to survive what lurks below?

Thousands of units

The unrelenting assault of the swarm is upon you. Can you survive long enough?

    Patch 1.1.32

Patch 1.1.32 * Fixed text issues on negative map modifiers. * Added rarity labels for equipment comparisons/crafting. * When salvaging buildings the cursor will snap to grid. * If all sides of a replicator are blocked, units will spawn in the nearest open tile. * Fixed bug where on the crafting screen if you had an equipment selected, and then pressed craft the comparison would still appear. * Fixed bug where the area beside the "Start Engine" would block cursor interactions. * When maps fail to generate because they can't place resources, make the map larger as well, * Make the validation check faster when determining whether or not a map is valid. * The Massive Reinforcements modifier label now properly says 5 minutes (instead of 10). * Fix bug where the last slot of your drill modules were not being properly saved when you were in T3.

    Patch 1.1 out now!

Hi everyone! This patch has been in the works for quite some time and I am glad to finally release it. Version 1.1 Patch Notes General New Bosses. New weapons, buildings and drones. Slightly reduced the difficulty. Knowledge is now gained quicker. Shortened the length of each run. Drill Changes Forge - New Drill module used to spend Forge Cores to increase crafted equipment's power. New random events that can happen while drilling! Increased chance of finding higher rarity equipment. Renamed all gear from old/advanced/expert to now be Mk1/Mk2/Mk3. In Game Changes New level types can now appear, including special boss levels. Completely new map generation for tunnel maps. No longer linear paths and more balanced difficulty in comparison to open maps. Reworked awareness system - New visual indicator of progress towards next awareness level. Enemy waves are now directly tied to awareness and appear each time the bar is filled. Artifacts - In each level you will find Artifacts randomly scattered throughout, activating them will provide a bonus but cause the swarm to become more aware. Forge Cores - Randomly spread throughout maps, collect them to upgrade your Drills Forge. Artifacts and Forge Cores appear white on the minimap. Burrowers have been removed from normal maps and can only appear as a negative modifier. New Hunt unit command - Units will automatically explore and clear the map. Projectiles can no longer go through walls. Units and buildings will not aggro or target through walls. Vipers are now ranged. Blueprints are now obtained 2x faster in the second/third biomes. This should help reduce the grind needed to collect them all. Death nests spawn more swarm. Can now give orders to units/drones using the minimap. Medic units will follow units that are in combat. Healthbars now appear over selected entities, or press Left-Alt to show for everything. Added display showing average resources gained per second. Many bug fixes. Patch 1.0.67

Patch 1.0.67 Drill UI Improvements Added tabs onto the right side UI to contain crafting, equipment lists and augments. Hovering over equipment now shows the stats and gives comparisons. When you have no valid starting units, the game will notify you immediately. Gameplay Changes You can now queue orders for your units. Added "Patrol" unit command. Slightly improved unit movement to not get stuck when moving in a giant ball. Added Supply Placement Helper - When placing supply towers the game will find the closest position that keeps the supply chain going. This will allow you to rapidly place supply towers and never accidentally place them out of supply range. Holding ctrl will cancel supply placement helper and allow you to place anywhere, you can also disable it in the game options. New supply overlay colour for supply towers that are not yet built. Each time a unit or turret attacks their icon on the minimap will flash yellow. Ctrl Clicking units/buildings will now select all of the same type. Ctrl Shift Clicking and pressing a control group will add those to that group. Don't forget to join the discord to discuss the game, provide feedback, or give suggestions! Join Discord
