Action, Indie · More free games

Navigate through a harsh, AI-ruled landscape in Red Metal, an indie game that challenges you to drive and fight your way forward using precise skills.

About this game

DRIVE. DESTROY. SURVIVE.

Red Metal is vehicular combat with a roguelite spine. Fast. Physics-driven. Punishing if you're sloppy.

It's the 1970s in a timeline where an AI fixed the planet by quarantining humanity. Cities are empty. The air is clean. The machines are not friendly.

You drive. You fight. You build a loadout and push further than last time.

THE CAR IS THE WEAPON

Drift, ram, boost. Momentum kills. Every vehicle handles differently. Your build changes how the run feels.

THE WORLD PAYS ATTENTION

Ignore a radio tower long enough and it stops warning you. Destroy enough of the wrong things and the world adjusts. No cutscenes. Just consequences.

EVERY RUN IS DIFFERENT

Maps remix. Enemies adapt. Unlocks compound. The more you play, the deeper it gets.

New game trailer + Development updates

Kicking in summer with style! We've received tons of positive feedback and excellent ideas on our G.Round playtesting session - a big thank you to all who tried out our game! We'll be doing another playtest on G.Round soon, so be sure to follow for next playtest date. ;) A team of three people from Silent Factory also attended Nordic Game 24 in Malmö at the end of May where exhibition visitors could get hands-on with the latest build. We also gained tons of experience from a pitch battle with excellent competitors! You can also read a short news story from a visitor reviewing the game here. You will soon get to know our team better as we're about to start showing you guys some developer logs! So stay tuned and follow our Steam page and other social media channels. We've decided to launch the game in Early Access on Steam as our first step. We've receieved so much great feedback from you all we'd really like to involve you in the development process and make Red Metal together with our players. For more on this, see the notes below Notes about Early Access Why Early Access? “We want to make this game together with players. Red Metal comes with a lot of unique challenges because there aren't a lot of games like it and we feel the best ideas come from getting a broad range of different perspectives on the physics, the combat, items, weapons, and other features.” Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “We plan to be in early access for approximately 10-12 months, but if we feel that the game could still use more work before a full release, we might extend that to a max of 18 months.” How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version? “The full release version will include much more mission content with voiceover, additional levels, and additional characters and enemies. We are also planning to support online co-op multiplayer in the full release (Though we're very tempted to work on this even sooner).” What is the current state o...
