Embark on a thrilling journey as you solve puzzles and uncover secrets in I Want to Believe. This first-person adventure from Fang's Lab combines elements of simulation, stealth, and driving, offering a unique blend of action and mystery.
About this game
In a small village in the northern United States, there are several extraterrestrials who mimic local residents. Your task is to determine who is who and eliminate the aliens. Assisting you in this perilous endeavor are an old pickup truck and a camera.
I Want to Believe is a first-person action game with elements of detective work, simulation, stealth, freedom of action, and driving.
A 2x2 km open world. Your pickup truck is your best friend — it’ll get you anywhere you need, haul cargo, and even play a full country radio station made just for the game, complete with a voiced radio host.
You’re new in town. Aside from being a sharp-eyed detective, your character’s only skill is driving a pickup — so you’ll earn money the way life prepared you for. Make cash while scouting the area for your investigation.
The town has its own eccentrics. Or maybe they’re not crazy at all, just people who know more than the folks around them. Join their club — they might have the info you need to crack the case.
Your instant-print camera is your second best friend. Snap anything that looks suspicious. Ask locals if they’ve seen anything strange. Hunt for clues and pin them to your crime board to piece together the puzzle and expose aliens disguised as humans.
Eliminate the aliens — quietly. You don’t need witnesses or police finding evidence of your crimes. Even if you’re saving humanity, no one will believe you. Don’t leave behind blood, shells, or bodies.
And if all that’s not enough — explore the area and find other ways to have fun.

Expanding Horizons: Upcoming Asian Languages for I Want to Believe
We’ve heard your requests – and we agree! I Want to Believe deserves to be experienced by more players around the world. That’s why we’re working hard to bring Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language support to the game. Our goal is to deliver a fully localized experience: from UI and subtitles to the detective board, notes, and in-game internet. We want players from China, Japan, and Korea to enjoy the same immersive and eerie atmosphere while solving mysteries in Roswood Valley. These translations will be added as free updates after release. We are collaborating with professional translators to make sure cultural nuance and tone are preserved, especially since the game leans heavily on humor, sarcasm, and small-town personality.Stay tuned – we’ll share progress updates and screenshots of localized versions as we go. Your feedback will be invaluable when testing these builds, so if you’re a native speaker, we’d love to hear from you once the beta versions are ready!Roswood is a strange place – and we can’t wait to open its doors to even more players around the world.Read full article on Community Announcements (Fang's Lab)AnnouncementsOfficial
Ukrainian voiceover is already in the game!
I was a bit late adding full Ukrainian voiceover to the game, so we didn’t manage to finish it before the start of Ukrainian Games Fest 2025. But I did manage before it ended.Voiceover is the final stage of development — you get to it when you know the game is close to the finish line. Today I fully wrapped up collaboration with American and Ukrainian dubbing actors (not sure if that’s the right term). In total, 3 professional American VO actors and 8 Ukrainian actors took part — voices you’ve heard in movie theaters, on streaming shows, and even on TV.Even though I don’t really like the prologue in I Want to Believe, I decided to keep it in the full version — and paid for its dubbing as well. Besides the prologue, the voiceover has already been added to the main story. The game is now in the stage of pre-release polishing and bug fixing. Over time, the release date was pushed back 4–5 times, but September 15, 2025 is now the final release date. There are surprisingly few games in the world with professional Ukrainian voiceover. Apart from a few AAA titles like Stalker or Metro, it’s hard to name many off the top of your head. So don’t deny yourself such a rare experience. The first time I went all-in on this was in my debut Steam release — Timeloop: Sink Again Beach — and I’ve never regretted it. I can even say it was the main news hook and key selling feature of the game.Read full article on Community Announcements (Fang's Lab)AnnouncementsOfficial
🎉 Professional Voice Acting for 30 Characters!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve officially completed the English voice-over for all in-game characters — and even the radio host! Both the Main Story and the prologue (demo) are now fully voiced. In total, the game features nearly 30 characters and over an hour of unique lines recorded for the radio. The English VO is already integrated into the build. As for the Ukrainian version — voiced by some of the country’s best dubbing actors — it’s running slightly behind schedule, but it will be added before the end of the festival! All temporary AI-generated voices are now gone for good. We strongly encourage you to try the game after this update. For Ukrainian players in particular, this will be a rare and unique experience. Fang’s Lab remains true to its principles, bringing familiar and beloved voices to our audience.Read full article on Community Announcements (Fang's Lab)
