About this game

Six friends embark on a weekend getaway only to find a mountain with an ancient secret. Can they escape its clutches? Pryzm is a survival adventure mystery presented in a hand drawn pixel art comic book / visual novel hybrid. Players have to manage the characters, maintain a special resource, and weigh their choices in order to make it out alive. NOT EVERYONE WILL SURVIVE in each playthrough.



It also features turn-based combat and elements that change with each new game.



Each normal run usually lasts between 1 to 2 hours and is encouraged to be completed in one sitting for the best rank. Mistakes can be recovered with a good plan, but game overs are very likely. There are features after a game over that allow players of all skill levels to improve their runs, learn the lore, and figure out how to manipulate resources and time to their advantage. Skilled players can challenge the end game via the online leaderboard speedruns that rank the best no-continue runs. Find the fastest strategy for each leaderboard!

WARNING:

While Pryzm contains themes of the supernatural and horror, THERE ARE NO JUMP SCARES OR OUTRIGHT DISTURBING IMAGERY. The main FEAR comes from having only ONE auto save while wondering if the next decision might end up spiraling a run towards an unrecoverable GAME OVER.

  This small update changes the Audio volume scale down to 10. Players may have to readjust the audio options if they changed it before. It also adds a Catalog section on the title screen to view other games.

  Ver 1.1.7 Update

I am now able to use more older controllers that did not even register before. Do note that players on macOS are still better off WITHOUT Steam Input, due to the phantom X360 controller issue that appears or Steam Input simply not allowing the controller to work at all. Ver 1.1.7 Update Note: Updated controller support (may require a remap for your current controller) Clarity changes during events in the story will now be shown as part of the text immediately
