About this game

The galaxy's most advanced alien species, with the ability to adapt to any situation, hostile environment. The ultimate survivors come up against their greatest challenge yet... an old man!



Our hero Terry is enjoying life in God’s own county, Yorkshire, until he makes a shocking discovery. His quaint English village has been invaded by... ALIENS. Terry, the local detective arrives at his favourite pub only to learn that some of the local people have been taken over by shape-shifting aliens. It is now up to Terry to investigate the locals and find the imposters among them. With his quick wit, skills and a bunch of sarcasm can Terry uncover the identities of all the aliens hiding among the village population before his knees give way!?​



In this point and click adventure, the only way to deduce who is impersonating the locals is by interacting with different quirky characters and questioning them. You must try your best to outsmart them by using your local knowledge against them and the best way of doing that is by completing a bunch of fun and ridiculous puzzles like the point and click games of the past!

  Chapter 2 is here! I hope you enjoy the MOOdy Chef! Here is what you can expect from the update New chapter with a bunch of crazy characters and puzzles to solve 3 new boss characters boss rush level. You can now replay bosses from both chapters 14 new achievements quality-of-life changes 1: We have removed the crafting boxes at the bottom of the Inventory UI. You can now just drag items onto each other quality-of-life changes 2: We changed the interaction options. Select the interactive item, and an interaction menu will appear above it.

  Chapter 2 release date and info

  Hello againSo, I promised to make an announcement soon on chapter 2, and here it is. Are you ready for it? Are you sure? It’s coming in red hot? Like this very moment? And that moment is NOW! Wait, that was too early… okay it’s now. Chapter 2 update will come 22nd August! Here is what to expect from the update:The new chapter will contain a whole range of new characters and ridiculous moments to enjoy. We estimate that the run time will be around the same length as the first one.3 new boss charactersA boss rush level. So, if you want to replay bosses from both chapters, you will now have a little room to choose whose butt you want to kick!14 new achievementsquality-of-life changes 1: We have removed the crafting boxes at the bottom of the Inventory UI. You can now just drag items onto each other, and if they are compatible with each other, they will combine.quality-of-life changes 2: We changed the interaction options. Rather than scrolling to select your interaction, you just select the interactive item, an interaction menu will appear above it. I have been testing the game a number of times since july and all this month to try to get it as bug free as possible. So hopefully it will be all good when you get to try it out next Friday!

  Chapter 2 announcement

  Hello all!I think this our first time making news update for our game. To start off, I am Harun, the designer, creative director, and other big fancy names I want to give myself (ah, the fun of being a small indie dev.) Before getting onto the announcement, just want to write a quick update about the development of this game.It’s Grim Up North has been a passion project of mine for some time, as with many other smaller indie devs, I am balancing day job and wanting to make games. Sometimes it can be a challenge but one I am happy to take head on!Our original vision for the game was to bring out a few chapters over course of a year but… yeah that didn’t happen. However, I am anything if not persistent and wanting to see this vision come to life, myself and few members of the team have been working hard to bring some new laughs to you.So, I would like to announce that Chapter 2: The MOOdy Chef will be coming out this August (final date TBD). And the best part is, it’s COMPLETELY FREE!!! We will make another announcement with the date of the update soon as well as outlining what you can expect from the update.Please enjoy this little teaser trailer we made.
