AirlineSim challenges you to build a thriving virtual airline by acquiring planes, scheduling flights, and managing finances. Compete or cooperate with other players on the real-time market as you grow your business.
About this game
AirlineSim's Payment Model
AirlineSim is played in game worlds which differ in configuration and duration. While some of those (with short durations) are free forever, most require a certain amount of credits to play, depending on game world duration. Credits are charged on a daily basis and can be purchased in-game. There are no recurring subscriptions, topping up credits happens exclusively at the players’ discretion. To unlock all features, especially those that require direct interaction with other players, in all game worlds, at least one completed payment is required. To ensure a level playing field, there are no other charges (like for cosmetics, in-game currency or similar) besides game world fees. More information on AirlineSim’s payment model can be found in the AirlineSim handbook.
About the Game
THE AIRLINE SIMULATION FOR PROS
In AirlineSim, you become the CEO of your own airline: Take your business to the skies as you acquire aircraft, schedule flights, form alliances and compete on a real-time market!
Manage your airline directly from the browser and use comprehensive tools modeled after legacy IT systems to adjust service levels, analyze routes and keep an eye on company finances as your business grows over time.
THE SKY'S THE LIMIT
Airport capacities, traffic rights, passenger demand and many other aspects of the game are modeled after the real world. With its sophisticated planning, management and monitoring tools, over 440 different aircraft types and more than 4,500 destinations to choose from, you’ll run your virtual airline like it’s the real thing.
Whether you’re offering domestic routes with a regional airline or expanding your network all over the globe – with efficient planning, the sky is yours!
PLAN
No business without a plan: Set the foundation for your new company by acquiring aircraft, creating cabin layouts and optimizing service profiles, use AirlineSim’s advanced planning features to evaluate potential routes and create complex flight schedules to get those virtual passengers to board your planes.
COMPETE
Watch as passengers book your flights using a state-of-the-art reservation system and keep track of your airline’s performance by monitoring your load factors and those of your competition, adjusting prices and service levels to adapt to an ever-changing market that operates each day throughout the year.
And no need to grind! AirlineSim offers a level playing field for everyone, so the success of your virtual business is not limited by the amount of time you put in.
COOPERATE
It’s not all about competition though: Build lasting connections with other players by cooperating in alliances or establish interline agreements to expand your network and let passengers transfer between flights operated by you and your interlining partner.
You also have the option to connect with other players by leasing out aircraft or providing terminal capacities to their companies. The choice is yours!
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
In AirlineSim, you create your own path: No matter if you want to go low-cost or full-service, explore local routes with a domestic airline or grow an international network with destinations all across the globe - set your own goals and take your business to the skies as you establish your airline on the game’s dynamic market!
A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD
With its prepaid pay-to-play model, everyone can play AirlineSim for the same price. Buying credits does not constitute a subscription, so you can purchase them whenever you like. After signing up, your account is equipped with 60 credits that cover a trial period in which you can play the game for free. For more details on pricing, you can also check out our website.

Domination X: Ready for a summer challenge?
Today, Domination takes off for its 10th round! And with my part of Germany - and thereby myself - heading into vacation mode very soon, this is also the last launch before my summer break. So let's get straight to it, including today's discount!Discount first: Credits across most package sizes are 10% off until the end of Friday, UTC.Game World DetailsDomination X keeps the configuration mostly identical to the last round: relaxed market restrictions for maximum competition, doubled starting capital, no used aircraft at start, and - once again - Single Holding Mode.As a reminder, this limits every account to a single holding, ever: once it's gone, whether through bankruptcy or deletion, there's no starting over. So make sure to found a holding company before creating a subsidiary, and think twice before deleting anything. As always, this mode is aimed at experienced players looking for a proper challenge! The one notable change this round: Domination X is only the second game world (after Smith, check the respective announcement for details) to launch with the latest generation of the Distribution System, featuring Individual Travel Requests. This should add an extra spin to the challenge!Domination X has a run-time of 32 weeks and will reset on March 15th, 2027.Domination IX: Top StatsBefore I properly sign off, let's have a look at the airline rankings from the previous round! Congratulations to Sire-Mike, defheri and brunoferretti for making the top three in the "All-Time Passengers" category! As usual, the full dataset across all categories is available on the forums. And with that, have fun and see you in a bit!MartinRead full article on Community Announcements (simulogics)AnnouncementsOfficial
Smith: A new game world featuring Individual Travel Requests
The Individual Travel Requests feature has been available for preview in our Paine game world since September. After months of tweaks and iterations, I feel confident that the feature is ready for a first roll-out to a regular game world. And Smith is that game world! Please find all the details below and don't miss the 10% discount we have going until the end of the weekend! What's in the name? The naming theme for our short-term game worlds revolves around aviation pioneers. So far, these were mostly pioneers in fields of engineering and aeronautics. But given that this game world is predominantly about a feature in the realm of business and economics, I decided to expand the theme into this direction: I picked "Smith" in reference to C. R. Smith, a former CEO of American Airlines who triggered the development of Sabre and thereby the first online reservation system. Given that ITRs are the first piece in the puzzle of bringing more depth to distribution in AirlineSim by modelling many of the real-world systems, including GDSs like Sabre, I found this a fitting name. What does the exact configuration look like?Given that Individual Travel Requests are a very new feature, I opted for a generic configuration that doesn't have too many moving parts. As such, Smith launches with regular slots and without second-hand aircraft. Compared to regular game worlds, initial demand is slightly higher to compensate for the increased market fragmentation introduced by ITRs.Smith will run until February 10th, 2027.Are Individual Travel Requests actually completed?Pretty much, yes.First of all, the version of ITRs running in Paine and Smith is the "bulk variant" (rather than the "point-to-point variant" developed for the AirlineSim Technology Demonstrator): It uses the general method of generating connections and distributing traffic the ORS uses in regular game worlds. So it distributes traffic for each airport once a day. The difference is that demand to each destination is split a...Read full article on Community Announcements (simulogics)AnnouncementsOfficial

Development Update Q1 2026
I know "Q1 2026" is a bit of a stretch as it's already mid-May. But it was a busy few months: finishing off last year's big features, getting the codebase into shape with a round of spring cleaning, and — finally — laying the technical groundwork for the long-awaited UI Refresh. Read on for the full breakdown and make sure to check the heads-up about upcoming visual changes before you do.A Heads-Up: Temporary Design Inconsistencies IncomingIf you've been playing for a while, you'll know the game currently offers a "classic" color theme alongside the light and dark one. And while it has a special place in my heart (and likely many others): the classic theme is effectively deprecated at this point and will eventually be removed as part of the UI Refresh, in favour of what's become the standard these days — a proper light and dark mode according to the operating system's setting, with an option for users to override it.Beyond that, as I start rolling out the first gen-3 components in the coming weeks (more on that in the UI Refresh section below), you may notice the occasional visual inconsistency here and there — like parts of the (new) page frame not quite matching the look and feel of (existing) content. This is expected and temporary. I intend to do the migration in an incremental fashion rather than one big risky switch, so there will be a transition period. The classic theme will likely be particularly affected as I won't spend resources on doing adjustments specific to that theme.I wanted to flag this upfront rather than have anyone think something is broken. Thanks a lot for your understanding!Location-Based Demand (LBD) — Refinements & Ongoing BalancingComing back from the winter break, my first order of business was tidying up the Location-Based Demand feature that I had rushed out just before Christmas. As a first visible step (week 2), I adjusted the ground network tab of airport info pages to show connected locations rather than other airports, and updated...Read full article on Community Announcements (simulogics)AnnouncementsOfficial
Rather late than never: Quimby XVIII is here!
I know, I know — new game worlds usually open at the start of the week. This time around, I wanted to squeeze in a small maintenance patch alongside a brief development update before opening the doors. As it turns out, the patch isn't quite ready yet, so I decided to go ahead and launch Quimby XVIII now rather than keep you waiting any longer. The patch will follow next week, and you'll be able to read more about what's in it in the upcoming devlog. A Q1 development summary is also in the works and will follow in due time. But enough about that — let's talk Quimby!Quimby XVIII is now open!To celebrate the launch, there's a 10% credit discount until Sunday, so now is a great time to top up if you've been thinking about it.Quimby runs with its tried-and-true beginner-friendly setup, making it a great choice whether you're new to AirlineSim or just looking for a relaxed environment to build your airline:Double slots — more room to grow your operationNo nighttime bans — fly around the clockNo noise restrictions — no need to worry about aircraft noise categoriesNo used aircraft market at launch — everyone starts on equal footing, but even out-of-production aircraft types are available straight from the factoryIf you're curious how the previous iteration played out, you can browse the Quimby XVII statistics on the forums.Have fun!MartinRead full article on Community Announcements (simulogics)
