Assume the role of an investigator who returns to this hometown after journalism school to unveil its mysteries.

Rockwell Mine has been plagued by numerous accidents, disappearances, and unexplained deaths, leaving authorities baffled. Despite countless investigations, the truth remains elusive, leading to the closure of the mine.
As a player, you must navigate the perilous mine, document your investigation with a camera, solve the mysteries behind the disappearances, and overcome obstacles while evading the dangers lurking within.

THE DESCENT UPDATE V 1.4 This update offers FREE NEW CONTENT offering NEW VOICE ACTING STORY DIALOGUES and NEW collectibles where player find MINERS HELMETS and SMELTED GOLD BARS scattered through out the maps to uncover 15 MORE NEW STORY ELEMENTS and acquire 2 NEW STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS. You will need to carefully find lost miners helmets and raw gold bars scattered around the levels in order to learn more about the events that unfolded deep in the mine. There has been limited feedback concerning bugs and or issues, and we thank you for helping us improve the game to its current version.
