Embark on a perilous climb through a dreamlike landscape in Clamb, an immersive VR experience developed by OP Softworks where your survival hinges on precise hammer strikes.

About this game

Clamb is a punishing VR climbing game inspired by the game 'Getting Over It' - now with optional checkpoints and multiple hammer styles.

Climb a surreal mountain with nothing but your hammer. The hammer follows the movement of your controllers. Hit, push, and drag your hammer past obstacles to overcome them. It will be difficult at first, but practice makes perfect.

  • Choose your climb style - The original Heavy Hammer for maximum challenge, or the new Twin Hammers for easier control.

  • Optional checkpoints - Checkpoints won’t save you... unless you turn them on.

  • Physics-based climbing with no hand-holding.

  • Climb a surreal mountain that reaches into the stratosphere.

  • Your skills will be tested, your limits broken.

  • Tunnelling option for comfort. (Vignette)

  • Option to swap hammer hands.

  • There is a reward for those who reach the top.

I know it's quite a clamber up those rocks, but once you get to the top, the view is worth it.

It's not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.

    Twin Hammers & Checkpoints Update

Play your way - new climbing options & checkpoints! This update adds two highly requested features and improves accessibility for new players while keeping the original hardcore climbing challenge fully intact.New Features:Checkpoints (Optional) - Toggle ON/OFF when starting a New Game. When ON, you’ll respawn at your last checkpoint instead of the mountain base.Twin Hammers - Play with two smaller hammers, one in each hand. Easier to control than the original Heavy Hammer. Selectable in the Hammer dropdown at the start of a New Game.Left / Right Heavy Hammer Option - The Heavy Hammer can now be explicitly chosen for the left or right hand in the New Game Hammer dropdown. The Settings menu option previously called "Hands" has been renamed to "Hammer" for clarity.Gameplay Notes:Hammer style and checkpoint settings are locked in once you start a game. To change them, start a New Game.Heavy Hammer players can still swap hands mid-game via the "Hammer" setting.Stats, personal best times, clears, and unlocked hammer skins are tracked separately for Twin Hammers and Heavy Hammer playstyles.Fixes:Reduced visual lag/stutter on moving boxes. The UI is now fully visible when underwater.Minor optimizations and polish.

    Major Optimization & Stability Update

This new update brings major improvements to performance, stability, and compatibility. The PC version now benefits from months of optimization work originally done to make the game run on standalone VR hardware. As a result, the game runs faster, is more stable, and the build size has been more than halved - all without significant visual differences. Highlights Controller disconnection no longer causes flying/stretching bugs. Resolved the "arm stretch" issue when tracking is lost or controllers run out of battery. Improved spawn logic. Players are now correctly spawned without risk of getting stuck or thrown away. Massive optimization of game assets. Textures, shaders, particle effects, and other assets were heavily optimized, leading to faster load times and a significantly smaller build. Improved colliders. Some colliders were simplified for better collision detection and smoother climbing. Simplified quality settings. The game now uses a single, optimized quality level that balances visuals and performance - the quality dropdown has been removed. Settings persistence. User settings are now saved properly when the application is paused or interrupted. Recentering fixed. The recenter function now works reliably via the headset dashboard. Unused engine services removed. Unused Unity packages and services have been stripped out of the project. Fullscreen only mode. The game now runs in fullscreen mode only. This improves both performance and compatibility with recording/streaming software. Visual Adjustments Castle moss removed. The heavy triplanar moss shader has been removed - rocks remain visible without the performance hit. Snow improved. The snow is now less bright and translucent, allowing underlying rocks to be seen. The snow shader was replaced with a lighter version. Other Changes Demo disabled. The demo has not received these updates and no longer represents the current state of the game. It has been disabled. Price adjusted. The price has been lowered to...

    Hammer & Physics Optimization

Thank you all for your feedback and support! Based on your input, this update focuses on one of the main areas of concern: the hammer swinging through or getting stuck in objects too often. My apologies to anyone who faced difficulties because of this issue. This update improves the interaction with the hammer, making the climbing experience more enjoyable. Here’s a summary of the changes made in this patch for both the full game and the demo: - Improved physics engine and object interactions for better compatibility across a wider range of hardware devices. - Optimized colliders throughout the mountain to enhance collision detection. - Closed gaps where the hammer or player could get stuck. - Adjusted hand collisions to prevent occasional hammer jitter by ensuring the player’s hands no longer collide with the environment. - Fixed issue with falling through the ground in the home and end scenes. - Corrected inconsistent explosion force for red barrels. I’d love to hear your feedback, let me know what you think! Fine-tuning the game is an ongoing process, so expect more patches in the future. Happy clambing!

    Swap Hands Option Added

Thanks everyone for playing the demo and sharing your thoughts in the discussions and elsewhere. Due to popular demand, the option to swap the hammer between hands is now live in the demo and will also be available in the full game. Added: Swap Hands Option Before starting a game, you can now choose which hand to hold the hammer with, regular or goofy (left or right). A 'Hands' option has been added to the Settings menu for this. Fixed: Game Ending Bug Launching yourself over the finish height, far from the mountain, with an explosive barrel for example, no longer ends the game. This bug in the demo caused the game to restart after being catapulted high by a red barrel.
