About this game
A SHORT DEDUCTION ROGUELITE ABOUT INCOMPLETE INFORMATION
Dungeon Tells is a compact, replayable game about reading unreliable thoughts and deciding when you know enough to act.
It combines hidden-identity deduction with the escalating reveals and calculated risks of a game show. Not every starting board is designed to give you one completely certain answer before you act.
Sometimes the clues narrow the possibilities rather than solve the puzzle outright, forcing you to compare probabilities and make a calculated gamble.
Every execution reveals more information, giving you greater certainty about what to do next.
EXECUTE TO UNCOVER THE TRUTH
Use Demi’s trusty axe, Beatrice, to execute the heroes you believe you can afford to lose.
Every executed hero reveals their true Personality and LVL. Use that new information to verify earlier statements, reconsider your deductions, and improve your odds as the escape continues.
A risky first decision can lead to a much clearer second one.
CHARM THE STRONG AND USE THEIR POWER AGAINST THEIR ALLIES
When only three heroes remain, Demi can Charm one of them and turn them against their former allies.
Choose carefully. Your champion must defeat the remaining heroes using their available LVL. Deduce correctly and they will save your dungeon for you. Choose poorly and the survivors will come for Demi next.
EVOLUTIONS COMPLICATE FUTURE ESCAPES
After saving your dungeon, choose an Evolution such as Looter, Selfless, or Nurturing.
During the next escape, your Evolutions are randomly assigned to participating heroes. They may strengthen a useful champion, weaken a dangerous enemy, or completely change how you evaluate the board.
RANDOMIZED HEROES, CLUES, AND RISKS
Dungeon Tells features forty-eight hero classes with different thought patterns. Each escape combines a fresh selection of heroes, LVLs, Personalities, and possible Evolutions.
Randomness is part of the challenge. You are not only solving what can be proven, you are deciding what is likely, what remains unknown, and when the risk is worth taking.
A FOCUSED GAME BUILT FOR REPLAYING
Dungeon Tells is a small game by design. Its main run is intentionally short and designed to be completed, not stretched into a giant campaign.
Replayability comes from randomized escapes, different hero interactions, and additional game modes that change how you approach the deduction.

Quick Invert Mode Fix
Hey there, Dungeon Keepers! After the last patch which introduced auto-inverting for the liar's statements, I've received a ton of feedback about the feature and it seems a whole lot of folks had an issue with liar heroes reverting back to their original "lie" statement after being executed. My goal with this to have the clues at the end of a Year being the exact same as the clues from the beginning of the year to help you backtrack your logic, but it seems it instead ended up confusing a whole lot of people. This is now all in the past though, as I just updated the game and made it so that while the auto-invert feature is on, liar clues would auto-invert or remain inverted on Execute.I also received some feedback about some of the drag ability descriptions being a bit misleading, so I also cleaned and polished those a bit.As always, thank you so much for all the feedback! Run Save Functionality
Hey there, Dungeon Keepers! This is a small, but important patch which introduces a run save system to the game and fixes some minor bugs that I missed with the previous changes.Initially, I didn't think a save system was necessary, but the feedback definitely proved me wrong, so now you can start a run in any game mode and if you happen to close the game or have to leave to do something, when you come back you can use the Continue Run button in the main menu to continue your run from exactly where you left it.I hope this helps to make Endless mode a bit more appealing as you no longer have to do it all in one sitting! And as always, thank you so much for all the feedback! Dungeon Tells 1.2 Breach Modes & More QOL
HEY THERE, DUNGEON KEEPERS!I had another burst of inspiration thanks to all the feedback and the awesome creators on youtube playing the game and swung for the fences! This is a dangerously ambitious patch to be adding so soon after the release, so I apologize ahead of time if you encounter any bugs with the new changes that I added, it's been a wild week!So without further ado, here are the patch notes for the changes that will be coming to the preview first and then to the live main branch soon after:NEW ACCESSIBILITY OPTIONSTwo new options in the Settings menu.READABLE CARD TEXTYou can now switch between the original pixel font and a more readable font. The readable font will only affect hero thoughts and Evolution text.AUTO-INTERPRET LIAR TAGSTagging a hero as a Liar can now automatically display the inverted interpretation of their statement and Evolution. For example, if a statement says: THE LIAR IS LVL25, Tagging its owner as a Liar may display: THE LIAR IS NOT LVL25.This is only a visual aid. Tags never alter a hero’s real Personality, statement, Evolution, or combat result. If you prefer to invert statements mentally, you can disable this in the Settings menu.BREACH DIFFICULTIESCompleting your first Dungeon now unlocks both Liars Den and Breach I.BREACH IMore Liars are in on the escape. The first three years contain two Liars, while the final two contain three. (up from 1/2)BREACH IIThe third Liar appears earlier, and the differences between hero LVLs are considerably smaller. Choose your executions much more carefully!BREACH III: THE VERDICTYour Charm must now land precisely on its intended target. The hero you Charm must have exactly one LVL tag assigned.EXPANDED DRAWING TOOLSThe pencil tool has received a substantial upgrade! Press D to enter or leave Draw mode.Draw using the left mouse button.Hold the right mouse button to erase with a brush ten times larger than your current pencil.Use the mouse wheel or the + and - keys to change brush size.Press Q or...Read full article on Community Announcements (Bow)Patch NotesOfficial
