Embark on a chilling journey through mist-shrouded landscapes in Mist, an atmospheric first-person adventure by 43N34S set for release in 2024.
About this game
Weird things can happen on the road...
A short, simple first person horror game about exploring area in the middle of nowhere to get help with repairing your car and continuing your path. Your only real enemy here is mist that shrouds the whole forest and does something weird with anyone who end up getting lost here... On your way you'll find forester's cabin but, unfortunately, there's no one home, so you better go looking for its owner, maybe he'll know how to help or have a phone so that you can make a call. You'll stumble upon different places, be it an abandoned meteostation or radiotower, but the longer you stay here the more the mist is taking control over you.Eventually you'll find something that shouldn't be here: places that have no connection to the forest you are in, voices from nowhere that tell about their lives and...weird figures in the distance.
To get out of here you'll need to use various items, from the classic indie horror shotgun to defend yourself to the radio receiver that'll help you to navigate through the forest to find important locations. Be aware that your resources are quite limited and you'll need to utilize everything you'll find in order to succeed and get out of here.
Game has several various endings, each one depends on your actions in the playthrough: dialogue choices you make, and amount of sheer boldness of your actions in defending yourself and finding your way out.

New game in development
Hello everyone, it's been a while.A lot of things happened, a lot of projects made, but Mist is so far my one and only published game. I had some attempts at creating a new entry, but to no avail, until now. Since november 2025 i'm developing a project that in my opinion has a chance to be finished - a boomer shooter game, a lot like HL1 with a mix of HL2:MMOD mechanics(ballistics), set in alternative version of Dnipro city in Ukraine locations from which were already used in Mist. It's going to be a criminal story, much like Max Payne(very long stretch, atmosphere-vise) but with a comedic/even satirical spin, akin to eastern european alcoholic kino like Felvidek/Disco Elysium. Im telling you that because i think it's finally coming together, i have a solid vision of the project and i want to gain some traction before self-publishing it on steam. It's long from done, i am implementing basics right now, but if you liked Mist's visual atmosphere prepare yourself for something similar, although more lively, a lot more lively. For english speakers i have a profile on X, i'm already posting some progress there and it would be nice if you subscribed if you're interested. Ну а свої вже мають за все знати, я думаю. Have a good onehttps://x.com/43N34SRead full article on Community Announcements (_=+ZAZA+=_)AnnouncementsOfficial

Visuals & Fixes
Hi everyone, decided to roll out an update before finally beginning work on my new game, let's get started. First of all - fixes and optimization: -Fixed two endings for english-speaking players because my crappy code that checks neccessary conditions for an achievement only works when you selected ukrainian as language, so you couldn't get escape endings achievements if you selected english. -Optimized snow in the park scene by turning off collisions for each individual snow particle and that resulted in ~30 fps increase -Various animation fixes -UI fixes Post-processing Added post-processing effects such as color correction, bloom, ambient occlusion, lens distortion and chromatic abberation. I tried to maintain the original look of the game while tweaking it just a little bit because i was left unsatisfied with it on release because i didn't knew how to add post processing in unity built-in render pipeline(the universal render pipeline was terrible for an already laggy game so i decided not to switch). Now game looks less washed out and sort of tries to mimic crt/old video camera look. Here's some comparison: OLD {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44980361/b074c2b28db7d4b166ac0339df01f82a12c1b3fc.png NEW {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44980361/9997cc25fafe4d6b9e2036c04a0cbd6ebe00aaf2.png The changes are very subtle but they create the look i wanted to make and plus they are not performance-heavy, which is a win. Playing with post-processing is an intended way so you're not able to turn it off in settings but if you really want there's new console command: "/proc", that toggles all of the effects, i used it to make comparison screenshots but decided to leave it in game in case someone needs it. Other changes -Now there's a button in the bottom center of the screen in the menu that takes you to the supporter pack page. If you already own the pack, the button changes to display a small thank-you message. -Added smooth camera mode in settings that changes the way how mouse input works, it feels ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Братуха "Молоко")AnnouncementsOfficial
Supporter pack released!
To all fellow Mist enthusiasts(Misters) out there. Mist is not the project i'm really proud of, to be honest, now it seems like a huge waste of time if i wasn't that stubborn and talkative to get this game all the way from a joke project to Itch and then to Steam. But i can't say that i don't understand why some people like it, and if you really did and wanted to support the people behind its development with your donation you now can purchase the soundtrack of the game labeled as "Supporter Pack" for a cheap price of $0.99. By doing this you show support for whatever creative impulses pop up in my head and at least try to negate the amount of money spent to pay Steam fee for publishing. Here's the link. Fixes
Hello my fellow Mist enthusiasts(Misters) :3 Changes: Fixed foliage texture on trees. Changes to lightning when fixing transformator. Guides were made less weird when they show up. Added some lights to better indicate navigation from certain areas(in like one place in the entire game). Fixed interface positioning on aspect ratios other than 16:9. Shotgun now shoots when you press the mouse button and not when you hold it. Performance improvements. Ladder fix, needed to rotate and move a radio tower a little for that. Receiver now shows more understandable data instead of adding arrows to the distance meter that people think are leading somewhere. Item change was made 3x times faster. Thanks to everyone who reports any issues with the game, didn't even knew wtf is a 21:9 aspect ratio before someone told me about troubles with UI position.Read full article on Community Announcements (ДВУХСОТАЯ РУСНЯ18+)
