Embark on a chilling adventure where fixing broken electrical systems is key to survival. Each level on Phantoms' strange train changes, and you're not alone; eerie phantoms lurk at every turn.

About this game

Phantoms is a first-person horror game that takes place on a strange train. You're on route to see your old friend Floyd, but all of a sudden, you sense something's not quite right. What was a simple, relaxing train ride mere moments ago, transforms into a hunting ground in a blink of an eye... and you're the prey.

Behold the moon! Be my harbinger, and you shall be rewarded with miracles!

The game takes inspiration from retro PlayStation™ graphics and aesthetics, combined with analogue horror and a hint of eldritch mystery. No two levels ever play the same as the layout of the train, and the items you need to collect, are randomized every time. Phantoms offers five story levels (the final one being hidden in conjunction with the secret ending), a custom level mode and two potential endings to the story.

    Hotfix 1.33

Hey everyone! Been a while. Hope you've been well for the holiday season, now it's time we all got back to work. This is a simple hotfix of a bug I wasn't aware existed. If your OS was set to a language other than English, the scripts lock up and the game breaks. That's fixed now. Fixed the game trying to load a language pack that wasn't available. You may be wondering, "well the game is only in English and the language options are disabled, what can possibly break here?" The simple answer is that the game does have a full localization system in place, but it was cut last minute due to some game-breaking bugs (like the one fixed now) were found late into development, and there were too few languages ready for release. A lot more is in the works; language support will be coming soon, along with a Linux/SteamOS build and controller support. These will take a bit more time though. Thanks for playing Phantoms! See you all soon!

    Version 1.32

Hey all! Thanks for playing the game. I've gotten some of your feedback, so the first batch of fixes is here. Just some fixes, nothing too dramatic. Updated the display settings menu across all playable levels so the "Resolution" and "Brightness" options stop overlapping Opening the Steam Overlay sometimes resulted in the game locking up - as a temporary measure, the game will not stop when the overlay is open Fixed the Danger Indicator setting not applying in levels

    The grand release day!

Hello everyone! Thank you for buying Phantoms and giving it a shot. I hope you'll enjoy it. It's been a fascinating journey finally getting a game I made on Steam. Not to mention that the Steamworks system is an absolute joy to work with. All in all, I'm super satisfied, thus I hope you guys will enjoy the game; I sure enjoyed making it. To celebrate the release, I'm also starting a dev-log YouTube series where I'll be talking about this game, how it came to be, nuances in its design and whatnot. Eventually, of course, I'll talk about some other projects as well. That's about it. Whenever there's content updates for Phantoms (there are some sure to come, such as languages and potential controller support), I'll be sure to let you all know with a similar announcement. Oh yeah, we also have a Discord server now. Come join and chill with us! https://bit.ly/SolitudeDiscord 'Til next time.
