Explosive Moltov Update is Here!
{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44740118/39874e85e3cca8770471d475bea9e83c27209bf3.jpgPatch Notes - Version 1.4 New Content Weapons: Added Pirate Musketoon. Introduced Molotovs for explosive gameplay. World Additions: Treasure chests are now scattered across the island. Use them to replenish ammo and craft Molotovs. Missions: Second Mission: Renamed from "Muggy and Buggy" to "I Know Why the Rum Is Gone". Added dry tall grass, which slows player movement but can be burned with Molotovs. Quality of Life Improvements Visual Adjustments: Swamp color palette tweaked: Shadows are now less dark for better visibility. Reduced bloom for a more balanced aesthetic. Performance Enhancements: Grass has been improved in both visuals and performance. New Level of Detail (LOD) optimizations on objects have improved FPS by ~30%. Added adjustable resolution settings for better customization. Gameplay Clarity: Tooltips added to checkpoints to clarify icons for dangerous and extremely dangerous creatures. Known Issues Molotovs require further optimization and may cause minor lag. Undead pirate AI is in its early stages and will need future adjustments. This is just the beginning of their development. Loading screens may take some time to load. This is an issue that I am currently working on resolving soon.Read full article on Community Announcements (Zoltok)Patch NotesOfficial
Minor Update/Hotfix 1.3
Quality of Life Changes Skip Checkpoint Mechanic: Skip checkpoint now only appears every 5 deaths (previously appeared every time). Sarcosuchus Fight Music: The Sarcosuchus (crocodile) area now features different music depending on the stage of the fight. Sarcosuchus Loading Improvements: Fixed an issue where the Sarcosuchus area would stutter upon first loading. Spinosaurus Loading Screen: Corrected an issue where the Spinosaurus loading screen looped the same music cue. New Skip Button: You can now skip the welcome message when you first boot the game by typing in "skip" (Will add an actual skip button soon) Bug Fixes Crawler Enemy Animation: Fixed the Crawler enemy’s attack animation to no longer instantly damage the player. Crawler Hitboxes: Corrected the hitboxes on Crawlers for better accuracy and fairness. Spear Mechanics: Vastly improved the spear’s hitbox to reduce floating spears and improve usability. Spinosaurus Recoded and Reworked Geometry Adjustments: Improved Spinosaurus geometry to reduce player obstructions during encounters. Fairer Attack Logic: Reworked Spinosaurus AI logic to make its attacks more fair and reduce "laser-like" targeting of players. Clipping Improvements: Corrected Spinosaurus physics to minimize instances of clipping through walls. Developer Note: After observing players' strategies, I noticed many attempted to outrun the Spinosaurus and optimize spear throws to pass the encounter. While the intended mechanic was to use the waterfall as a line-of-sight barrier, I’ve adjusted the gameplay to respect these alternate approaches. Players can now more easily outrun the Spinosaurus as a viable option, though the waterfall strategy remains intact for those who prefer it. Final Announcement Thank you for playing the demo and providing feedback! This patch is likely the last hotfix before the content update for the demo. The upcoming content update will include: New game mechanics. Unlocking the "Muggy and Buggy" checkpoint at the start o...Read full article on Community Announcements (Zoltok)Patch NotesOfficial
