About this game

Welcome to UnLoop – the most chaotic VR game out there. You need a highly coordinated squad to survive this space station. The catch? YOU ARE THAT SQUAD.
Every time the loop resets, your replica is left behind to repeat your exact physical movements, gestures, and voice in real-time. Yell instructions at your future-self, flip off your uncooperative past-self, and desperately try not to step on your own toes.

Ever wanted to argue with a room full of people who all sound exactly like you? You’ve come to the right place. After a few loops, you will be surrounded by your own past-copies, all screaming the same expletives at each other. They all disagree with you. And worst of all... they are technically correct.
It’s chaotic, it’s loud, and yes – the voices in your head are entirely real.

Ruined the timeline? Didn’t catch a crucial item? No problem. Just raise your laser gun, shoot yourself, and instantly reset the loop. Or shoot your copy who made a bad throw, you are the original one anyway!
Death isn't a failure here. It's just a tactical undo button.

Every puzzle is solved by coordinating with your past actions. Which sounds brilliant, until you realize your past-self had no idea what they were doing either.
Experience the sheer, unadulterated ego trip of figuring things out all by yourself. When you finally spend 15 minutes coordinating three of your past-copies just to pass a single keycard through a door, you’ll feel like an absolute mastermind solving the mysteries of the universe.
We’ll let you have that. You’re welcome!

An attempt to fix the black screen issue at startup ⬛🥶⬛
It would be a crime to call this a "hotfix" when the bug in question has been chilling in our game for nearly a full year... so welcome to our Coldfix! We've been trying to solve a particularly annoying issue reported by some of our players: you launch UnLoop, hear the main menu music bumping in your ears, see the game rendering fine on your PC monitor... but your VR headset is giving you a pitch-black void. 🕶️Our Working Hypothesis 🔬While digging, we discovered that PC build was defaulting to DirectX 11 under the hood. Our current theory is that DX11 might be causing this rendering disconnect in VR. To be completely transparent: we aren't 100% sure if this is the actual cause or if this build will fully fix it. Since we haven't been able to reproduce the black screen on our local dev machines, this is an educated hypothesis that we need to test in the wild! Here is what we changed to test this theory:Vulkan by Default 🌋 – We have officially switched the default rendering API to Vulkan.DirectX 12 Option ⚙️ – Added an option to switch over to DirectX 12 if Vulkan doesn't do the trick. We Need Your Help 🙌If you were one of the players hitting the black screen bug, please jump into this build and let us know if Vulkan or DX12 actually fixes it for you!And for everyone else... well, you know us by now. We love shipping builds that accidentally break something completely unrelated! 🤡 So please check it out too, play around, and let us know if everything runs smoothly or if we managed to create a brand new mystery bug.Version 1.2.1. is uploaded to beta_test channel:Find UnLoop in your library, right-click it → Properties.Go to Game Versions & Betas and switch to the beta_test branch. No password needed.Wait for it to update, then launch the game.Check in the main menu that version marked as 1.2.1.Switch Vulcan to DX12:Open Properties for UnLoop in your library.Under General → Launch Options, paste -dx12Launch the game. After switching API, it may take a while for the shaders ...Read full article on Community Announcements (aroumyantseva)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 1.2.0: Timer-Free Sandbox, UI Overhaul & Heavy Visual Polish! 🚀🧪
A fresh update has landed into the timeline! ⏱️ We're super excited to introduce our new Sandbox playground alongside a massive round of QoL tweaks, physics fixes, and visual enhancements. Here is what’s new in this update:🔫 Sandbox Mode: AgentUnknown's Playgrounds – Dive into two brand new rooms: Rocket Science and If Everyone Jumped Off a Bridge…. There are no puzzle objectives or time pressure, so you can just mess around with time loops and replicas as much as you want!(Okay, full disclosure: there technically IS a timer running under the hood, but it's super long and hidden. We promise you won't notice it... hopefully! 🤫)We'll keep adding more sandbox rooms based on your feedback and bug reports, so test the limits and tell us what you want to see next!⚙️ UI and Settings:First-Launch Settings Window – New players (which probably isn't you since you're reading patch notes) will now get a setup window upon launching the game for the first time, making it easy to configure all VR options to your liking right away.Menu Overhaul – Reorganized settings with simplified titles so navigating the menus is much more intuitive.Haptics Toggle – Added a dedicated option to disable controller haptics in the settings menu.🧲 Interaction & Physics Fixes:Fixed battery holder handle interaction desyncs.Hands of past-you no longer resize during gestures, and items should no longer levitate in hands (they shouldn't anymore, let us know if your items are still attempting ascension).Fixed a bug on "Run the Gauntlet" where turrets would stop shooting if you got too close to them.🎨 Visual Polish, Many Bugfixes & Graphics Enhancements.NOTEDuring testing, we stumbled upon a wild bug on one device where the player spawned into the main menu completely upside down. We haven't been able to reproduce it on any other hardware so far. If the time loop flips your perspective and leaves you standing on your head in the menu, a game restart will temporarily fix it and get you right-side up! 1.1.5: Try №2 🤡🔧
We definitely didn't intend to half-ass the build, but level progress decided to stop saving in version 1.1.5. We truly hope this didn't wipe out too much progress for everyone, but if you were hit by this bug, we are so sorry: you will need to re-clear those completed levels again. Here is what we just patched up in this hotfix:Level Saving Restored – fixed the bug that prevented level progress from saving properly.Area 3 & 4 Achievements Fixed – 99.99999% sure that achievements for Area 3 and Area 4 are finally working as intended. We are deeply sorry for the chaos! Thank you so much for sticking with UnLoop, being patient, and keeping those reviews positive even when we stumble.Jump back into the loop, and keep signaling us if anything else explodes! 🔄🔥Read full article on Community Announcements (aroumyantseva)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 1.1.5 is Live🎈
Hello folks!Remember that cozy little square UI in the middle of your screen on some devices? Just like creepy clown crawling out of a drain, our UI has officially broken free into Full Screen and now even mirrors properly onto your desktop monitor! We’ve also fixed floating legless copies, improved item haptics, and tuned card/battery mechanics.🛠️Here is everything packed into this update:UI Expansion: Flat UI (dead screen and reloop effect) is now Full Screen (no longer locked to a small square).Monitor Mirroring: Flat UI (previous + helmet messages) now correctly duplicates to your desktop monitor instead of only rendering in the VR headset only.Animation Fix: Fixed floating copies bug (your legs now move properly) – that was an issue with fullbody tracking on PC.Achievements: Resolved completion tracking issues for area achievements – pls check that areas 3 and 4 works correct on your side.Card Insertion: More intuitive fix hand positioning – feels much better for me, what do you think?Battery Handling: Refactored mechanics for inserting Batteries into the Holder and Charger.Haptics: Restored missing/broken tactile feedback for item interactions.Text: Fixed minor typos across posters.🚀 What’s Next? With this patch out the door, we are shifting our development focus from bug squashing to new features:Settings and Menu Improvements.Sandbox Mode.🚨 Launch Issues & Bug ReportsWhile our focus moves to new features, we are still investigating any remaining startup or launch issues (Steam VR and OpenXR conflict). If you are running into problems:💬 Did I miss your bug? Let me know in the comments below! I’ll be monitoring the thread and will prioritize any persistent issues you flag.Thank you all for your positive feedback and stay in LOOP!Read full article on Community Announcements (aroumyantseva)Patch NotesOfficial
