About this game
Flowereverie is a peaceful flower-laden puzzle game where, to perform any action you must first spell it, by arranging letters like flowers in a vase. Hone your flower-arranging skills to spell anything you can think of! Learn to walk, talk, climb, swim, and more, by collecting flowers and vases to create beautiful arrangements of letters. Cast spells, spell spells, become the land's most prolific flower arranger, and you might be able to discover the dark secrets of the town proper.
In the world governed by the mythical and loved-by-all goddess Sakuya, no action can be undertaken before first spelling it by arranging letters in a vase like flowers.
When passers-by enter the peaceful and idyllic world, they cannot even walk or talk, but after learning to "arrange" those words using flowers and vases, the artform of flower-arranging reveals itself as a rich and infinitely deep concentration.

By changing just 1 letter of the Red Pedalwalker, the very first flower you encounter in the game, you can spell TALK, LIE, and ALTER! It's a very powerful flower indeed. As you learn more Spells, you'll be able to change more letters in more ways, and spell even longer and more complicated Spells.

Outsiders to the peaceful village home to the flower-arranging art have trouble grasping the village's strange way of life, and thus are a rarity. As you become more well-versed in the culture of the world, dark secrets of the town proper will start to reveal themselves.
What is the truth of this flower-laden world? What are its secrets? Become the best flower-arranger in the land, expose the world's lies, and decide the future of the world of Flowereverie.

Patch Notes: April 3
A small patch just after the full release. Added the Options screen to the title screen as well. Removed an unintended debug text from the title screen. Added a bit more railroading near the beginning to prevent players from getting confused in the early areas of the game. Fixed a bug where continuing a save file from the Early Access version in the full 1.0 version would unintentionally unlock an endgame mechanic. Adjusted some NPC locations/dialogue to make more sense. Made one Easter Egg slightly more likely and less confusing.Read full article on Community Announcements (flowereveriegame)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch Notes: Full Release! March 30
Exactly one year to the day since my last update, I've decided the game is finally in a good enough state to transition to Full Release! Honestly, for this full release, I can't believe how many things I've added. I added so many things that I have forgotten to document, that herein I list only the biggest features I've implemented: Redesigned the entire music system, each area now has a pool of music it can pull from. Fixed typos and spelling mistakes. Added a new enduring mystery that overarches the entire game. Added preloading: the title screen now loads your preferences before you hit Load Game. Added a splash sprite that shows how new Kotodama would affect a flower. Added more Easter Eggs. Added more lore. Added more worldbuilding. Added more routes, and made the routes more cleanly defined by Ashirai. Made the tutorial on arrangement ranks clearer. Spruced up the endings. Added way more QoL. Caught the Mac port up to where the Windows version was. Steam achievements now work on Mac. The work is never done, I still have many more tweaks I'd like to make, but I feel getting a new fresh set of eyes on the game will help me stop bikeshedding minutia.Read full article on Community Announcements (flowereveriegame)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch Notes: March 30
Another patch with lots of requested features! I've been hard at work the past few weeks implementing some of the most highly requested features like Cloud Saves and Windowed Mode, and now those features are here! All the changes today, just like the last patch, are for Windows only. The Mac version of these changes are still a work in progress. Added cloud saves. Added windowed support, window resizing, and fullscreen toggling. Fixed some typos and added some flavor text and overworld objects. Added a dozen Easter Eggs referencing other videogames. Added a barrier in the church to move one Spell later and make it have more utility. Changed the plant names in the museum to not contain duplicates. Added an ingame prize for beating the game. Gave more utility to a postgame Spell. Added a feature that tells you what Spells you didn't encounter after you beat the game, in case you have missed any. Added more catharsis in the ending cutscene. Fixed picking up a flower when you had 0 of that flower always generating the New Flower text. (It will still happen once on your save file before it fixes itself.) Changed the Sakuya's vase achievement to require not having the final flower (which it used to always require before the last patch.)Read full article on Community Announcements (flowereveriegame)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch Notes: March 16
Big patch! It's been a few months since the last patch, again, and that's because I was trying to implement some big changes. Adding windowed support, getting achievements working on Mac, and cloud saves are all still coming down the pipeline, and while none of those highly requested features are in this patch, again, I did finish what were by far the two most requested features, infinite undo, and making the game easier! In much of my user testing, I noticed many players were getting stuck on the same set of Spells, usually at the very end. Finally I've gone and decided on a design philosophy for those parts of the game that I hope should make it a lot more reasonable. As well, infinite undo was a huge undertaking, but is finally done! Now you'll be able to tinker around with ideas you have in the game, instead of having to keep them in your mind. Patch notes: Added ability to undo infinitely. (By far the most requested feature.) Made the hint NPC be clearer in the lategame concerning what to focus on. Fixed some typos and added/edited some more flavor text. Fixed a glitch where you could get some museum ranks earlier than intended. Added some hints to particularly difficult midgame Spells many people got stuck on. Made the endgame more forgiving in what you had to do to trigger it. Made running speed persists across areas/loads. Fixed a glitch where one NPC would disappear/say the wrong dialogue/be visible in an unintended spot. Changed some text in two hidden Easter Eggs in the game to make them less confusing. Made a couple of the final puzzles be optional. Note: For now, this patch is for Windows only. Mac users will have to wait a little longer for their infinite undo and achievements and this easier version of the game.Read full article on Community Announcements (flowereveriegame)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch Notes: July 20
Big patch! It's been a few months since the last patch, and that's because I was trying to implement some big changes. Adding windowed support, getting achievements working on Mac, infinite undo, and cloud saves are all monstrous endeavors, and while none of those highly requested features are in this patch, this patch does have a lot of great QoL fixes: Fixed the positioning of some quest markers. Fixed a bug where a certain Spell would be encountered too early. Made the map start at your character's position instead of the Town Hall. Fixed a bug where sometimes you would talk to the wrong NPC if two NPCs were in speaking range to you. Added an indicator to show which NPC you are talking to. Fixed some misleading NPC text and typos. Added some new flavor text to multiple NPCs. Fixed a crash caused by minimizing the game window while the game is loading. Fixed a bug where an NPC would sometimes say a Spell early, causing a potential sequence break.Read full article on Community Announcements (flowereveriegame)
