About the Game

Step into the role of Headmaster and build your wizarding academy from the ground up. Design every room, recruit students from across the world, send professors on expeditions, and manage everything from mana reserves to staff ultimatums, all while the Directorium keeps a close eye on your results.

Stack new floors, place classrooms and corridors, decorate your halls and choose what is taught where. Zoom out and watch your academy take shape: towers, courtyards, lecture halls and secret passages. No two academies look alike, and every layout changes how your school performs.

Recruit students from across the world and watch them grow over time. They come back to study, evolve with each decision you make, and accumulate traits that define who they become. With over 100 unique traits to assign and more than 50 Destinies to unlock, every student follows a different path through your academy.

Watch out for the pranks. Students want to enjoy academy life. The Directorium wants results. Keeping everyone satisfied while answering to their demands is the real challenge, a double pressure that never lets up.

Your students do not just pass through. They come back. You watch them progress from their first lesson to their final exam, make decisions that shape their path, and see the consequences play out over time.

The best graduates stay on as teachers, training the next generation. The faculty you build becomes the backbone of your academy, and the school you shape today produces the wizards of tomorrow.

Gather glyphite, shards and golem cores, earn learning points, and spend them across a comprehensive tech tree with hundreds of upgrades to discover. Every technology you unlock changes how your academy runs: new room types, more efficient staff, deeper student progression.

Meanwhile you answer to the Directorium's emissary, manage your staff's demands, and compete with rival academies for influence in the villages around you. Prioritise the wrong thing and the whole school starts to crack.

Key features:

  • Build floor by floor: stack floors, design every room, and make an academy that is truly yours

  • Shape every student: guide apprentices from first year to graduation, then keep the best as teachers

  • Survive mana crises: droughts, blackouts and worse will test your school’s resilience

  • Expand your influence: send professors to distant villages and compete with rival academies

  • Manage a living staff: ultimatums, promises, resignations. Your people have demands

  • Deal with the Directorium: its emissary travels to your school, inspects it and collects taxes

Wizdom Academy is for you if you love:

  • Builder and management sims with creative freedom (Timberborn, Spellcaster University, Two Point Campus)

  • Growing a community of characters with unique traits, aspirations and Destinies to discover

  • Juggling resources, crises and rival schools in a fantasy world

  • Building something that feels genuinely yours

    0.8.0 | Classrooms & Traits Update

Greetings, Headmasters! 🧙‍♂️Major Update 0.8.0 is now available for Wizdom Academy! This update brings a major overhaul to classrooms, character traits, village influence, mana management, quests, trials, and several core progression systems.Classrooms now have two live scores, Academic Excellence and Class Ambiance, which directly affect what your academy produces and how tiring lessons are. Characters now arrive with more meaningful traits, villages grant their own passive perks, and students or teachers can develop new traits from what they experience inside your academy. This update also introduces Mana Mines, the Miner’s Den, new village installations, quest tracking, a new early mana reserve, more control over repairs and expeditions, a sixth academy floor, and a very large batch of fixes.Let’s dive in!Classrooms now have two live scores: Academic Excellence and Class Ambiance. Both scores are shown in the room panel.Hovering either score now breaks it down contributor by contributor, including the teacher’s diploma, teacher traits, student traits, crowding, and motivation.Academic Excellence now decides what a classroom produces.A teacher holding a diploma in the subject they teach gives a major boost to that room’s output.Rank II and Rank III diplomas increase that bonus further, while student traits add on top.A classroom with collapsed Academic Excellence can now produce down to half output.Class Ambiance now decides how tiring a lesson is.A room nobody wants to be in can drain a full energy bar in a single lesson.A room everyone enjoys can cut the energy cost of lessons in half.Character traits have been fully overhauled.Every candidate now arrives with one to three traits in addition to their village origin.Traits are now drawn from pools that match each village’s identity, so recruits should no longer arrive with traits that feel out of place.Every active trait has been rebalanced around a shared small, medium, and large scale, making each trait easier to ...

    0.7.5 | Hotfix

Greetings, Headmasters! 🧙‍♂️Hotfix 0.7.5 is now available for Wizdom Academy! This update focuses on improving camera controls, village influence, recruitment pacing, Headmaster’s Board readability, and several important UI and gameplay issues reported after the latest update. It also fixes character animation issues, room alerts across floors, teacher idle detection, classroom tooltips, and rooms incorrectly closing after loading a save.Let’s dive in!Building the Tower / Magical Lift now costs 10 Glyphites instead of 5.Academy Wealth in the Headmaster’s Board is now shown in thousands with a K suffix, making the line much shorter and easier to read. The wealth change shown next to it is shortened the same way and keeps its color: red when it drops, green when it rises.Holding the middle mouse button to pan the camera no longer keeps the camera drifting when the mouse stays still. The camera now moves only while you actually move the mouse and stops instantly when you stop moving it, even if the button is still held. While one of your representatives is stationed in a village, rival academies can no longer erode your influence there.Your per-cycle influence gain in that village is now fully applied.Villages without one of your representatives still see rival academies fight over influence as before.Village recruitment speed is now capped.A village’s influence now directly controls recruitment speed, from 12 cycles at the slowest with 0% influence to 3 cycles at the fastest with 100% influence.Recruitment speed can no longer fall outside that range, no matter how many Admission Offices you have built.Recruitment already in progress before this change is capped to the new slowest pace when loading your save.Characters should no longer freeze on screen with their arms stuck out in a stiff resting pose. This was most visible on lower graphics settings, especially Potato, Low, and Medium, and on first-year students.Visible characters now animate normally at every graphics leve...

    0.7.4 | Hotfix

Greetings, Headmasters! 🧙‍♂️Hotfix 0.7.4 is now available for Wizdom Academy! This update focuses on improving save reliability, damaged room behavior, construction guidance, world map exploration, Directorium systems, room placement, professor management, and several UI issues reported by the community. We also added new quality-of-life tools, including instant demolition with Shift, clearer floor and placement tooltips, better guidance during tutorial quests, more visible village expedition information, and stronger feedback around unpaid teacher wages.Let’s dive in!In demolish mode, holding Shift while clicking a building now tears it down instantly, skipping the refund confirmation window.Broken rooms now refuse to be demolished, while indestructible buildings are still simply selected.Hovering a tower floor button now shows a tooltip reminding you which keys move the view up and down a floor.Building tooltips now warn you in red when a building cannot be placed on the floor you are currently viewing. This helps clarify buildings that are ground-floor only or upper-floor only.During the close three rooms at once quest, a guiding arrow now points to the open and close button on the room you select. The visual is still a bit off and will be improved in the next update.Holding stairs, or the new Magical Lift, under a corridor on the floor above now hides that corridor tile so you can clearly see where they will come out. When a village on the world map falls below 40% influence with no explorer present or on the way, a professor may now offer a tracked quest to win it back. This quest can ask you to station an explorer, run a propaganda campaign, or build a defense tower.Promising a professor you will pay every salary on time now appears as a tracked quest. This tracked promise includes a free grace cycle right after the promise and a counter that climbs as you keep paying your staff. In the graduation panel, bringing a student back as a teacher now shows their per-cycle w...

    0.7.3 | Hotfix

Greetings, Headmasters! 🧙‍♂️Hotfix 0.7.3 is now available for Wizdom Academy! This update is a big one. It fixes several serious issues that could affect saves, main quest progression, trials, recruitment, storage capacity, damaged rooms, multi-floor academies, and interface behavior. We also made large performance improvements for late game academies, improved memory usage, added new feedback to the UI, and introduced new academy events tied to unpaid wages and professor wellbeing.Let’s dive in!The opening tutorial now teaches you about doors. The first time a ground floor room becomes cut off from the corridors, Elara now opens a window and offers a side quest asking you to build a door and reconnect every isolated room. This new door tutorial includes blue guidance arrows pointing to the Navigation tab and the door itself.Completing this side quest rewards 10 Glyphites, with no time limit.Students who reach a rank of study your academy cannot teach can now speak up about it.When a student first complains about unavailable studies, you can either commit to building the required classroom within a deadline or let them leave immediately. If you commit and miss the deadline, the student will open a short dialogue, then leave the academy for good. These student study complaints and deadlines now survive saving and loading.Leaving your teachers unpaid now has consequences. After three cycles in a row without paying staff a single coin, a professor may confront you with a timed request. You can promise to pay every wage from now on, starting a commitment to avoid missing staff payment for ten cycles. You can also pay a steep sum on the spot, with a minimum of 5000 Gold.Breaking your payment promise makes the professor confront you one last time, leave for good, and causes a heavy hit to the Directorium’s Trust.Once a professor has confronted you this way, no professor will do it again for fifty cycles.Professors whose wellbeing reaches rock bottom can now take it out on the room...
