    Update 10

Cloud Saves I added Steam cloud saves to the game, which was a highly requested feature. This means that save files should now be automatically synced between multiple devices. Rotation joint changes I added some features to the rotation joints that should make them a lot more useful. You can now clamp the minimum and maximum angle, set the speed it rotates at, and toggle whether it returns to its starting position automatically when you are not giving any input. Together these changes enable quite a few things that were not possible before. One good example being a wheel steering mechanism. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44867273/e8b450bda71b8926a144901e03f63fc79013f2ae.png Cameras There is now a camera part. You can attach cameras anywhere on your plane and switch between them while flying, so you are no longer limited to the default views. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44867273/04c7ce9642308af6814d709e005f79f7c00fb86e.png Balancing changes - Increased rewards on endless missions - Increased cargo in first 2 cockpits - Made ramjet cost 6000 instead of 4250 - Increased glider wing max speed from 110 to 140 Bug fixes - Fixed the completionism achievements - Fixed roll sometimes randomly breaking

    Update 9

Endless quests The most common feedback I’ve received is that players are disappointed that there are no new quests after finishing the game. A common suggestion has been to add endless randomly generated quests for those who want to keep playing. Implementing this turned out to be quite a challenge. While quests are simple conceptually, just a cargo type and an amount that needs to be delivered, generating one that’s actually balanced is surprisingly difficult, and I went down many dead ends before landing on a decent solution. Now, after completing the game, you can visit airports that previously had no more quests and receive a randomly generated one. The feature is still somewhat experimental and the generated quests won’t be perfect, so any feedback would be really valuable. Let me know what you think! Bug fixes Fixed propeller not showing for the large turbo prop engine Fixed end cutscene not playing

    Update on the full release

I want to give a quick update on my progress towards the full release. The roadmap I posted in April is proving to be a bit too ambitious. The first 2 months went well, and while I did manage to ship Steam workshop support, some of the promised features of June were already delayed. I’m currently still working on endless mode, which will hopefully ship this month. However, the game will unfortunately not be ready to release in August. I don’t want to commit to a new release date too early again but I will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience!

    Update 8

I had a lot more planned for this month than I actually got done. The same thing happened last month, so my planning has been a little optimistic. But it’s not all bad, I did add a big feature this month. Steam Workshop This month finally brings the Steam Workshop to the game. You can now upload your planes for others to try, and browse what other people have made. I’m hoping that being able to share your creations can help grow a more creative, community driven side of the game. Uploading is quite simple, you click the “Save” button, fill in a name, description and tag, and hit upload. To use other people’s designs, subscribe to them on the Steam Workshop. The load panel now has a new “Workshop” tab. You don’t have to restart the game to load planes. I’ve decided to keep the workshop focused on sharing plane designs. I know I’ve mentioned adding custom parts in the past, but keeping the focus narrow ensures the workshop remains relatively easy for me to support. As a solo dev, I unfortunately don’t have the resources to maintain an ecosystem for complex mods. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44867273/d71089420f6de231c32764f79d24b7d975d3c4e6.jpg The roadmap As I mentioned at the start, the roadmap I put together a few months ago is proving a bit too ambitious. I’d planned a lot more for this update, including endless mode, and I’ve spent a fair amount of time on it. But procedurally generating missions that are both interesting and balanced is turning out to be much harder than I expected. Because of that, I probably won’t make the August release window either. I’ll rethink the plan and may update the roadmap in a future post.
