OST Update!
It's been 2 years since the initial release of Flint's Hints. In that time, I have grown in many ways: as a developer and designer, but most notably as a composer. To celebrate, I have remade the soundtrack to the game, trying to find a balance between staying true to my original intent and breathing new life and a higher standard of quality into it. I also added a handful of new sound effects. The other major change is new sprites for Stephanie. Flint's Hints was the very beginning of me learning many skills, including pixel art, and while art hasn't been a big priority for me, I felt I could improve on the originals. While still not perfect, I'm much happier with her new look.In addition, I restructured many of the games scenes to make them more maintainable, and improved various sections of the codebase with more refined iterations from my other projects. These will (hopefully) result in a handful of quality of life improvements. Such changes include:Any input will advance/close dialog boxes instead of a small buttonComputer search page fonts are a more reasonable size/structure.Book fonts are a more reasonable size/structure.New game options for music/sfx volumeComing back to this game after such a long time was a fun and rewarding experience. I hope that this update will excite new players looking to try the game, and refresh players who have already enjoyed the game.Read full article on Community Announcements (Scaredy Cat Studios)
